- Last year I had the amazing opportunity to check out Chicago's secondary airport; Midway. This airport was the first airport in Chicago before O'Hare and is now used as a main hub for Southwest.
This day wouldnt have been possible without my good friend @OHAREAVIATION! Please go check out his amazing channel for more Chicago action!
I decided to remaster this video as the first one was lengthy and shaky - I hope you enjoy this video! I think it looks a lot better.

Dang. I wish I had one of those little jets buzzing around. That would be the coolest. I'd be happy just to fly on one once. I don't know why but I can watch planes all day long. I love it. Midway is a great place to watch too. It's so small that you can get close to the action, and big enough for medium size passenger jets to take off and land. Thx for sharing.
Chicago is beautiful I'm so glad I live here Midway is the best airport in the world and most beautiful look at all those Southwest Airlines Southwest Airlines is the best in the world
Love to see plane action at Midway. Extremely enjoyable videography Mark Brandon. Video is clear, concise, colorful and steady.
I grew up just southwest of Midway near 79th and Harlem (about five miles by car). There were planes going over my house constantly. Also, because Midway was in the middle of a residential neighborhood, the takeoff angles were steep.
Downtown beautiful so glad I live here
Awesome video man!
nice video looks probably greener now to when this was filmed
Where are you located while filming this clip?
I'd also like to know
SWA...OWNS Midway!
Nice to see N442WN as I'm flying on her tmr! Great vid!
O hare is so much better for planespotting.
Nice job by you!
Stupid comment. Obviously, ORD would be because of the greater number of flights.
@@jslasher1 There are plenty of flights at midway too. The biggest drawback is 85% of the planes are southwest 737s
@@planeinsane1 Why do you consider that a drawback?
@@jslasher1 Because. It gets monotonous. Especially when they all 737s. Charlotte is about 90% American Airlines. But at least they are all different kinds of planes.
I am going to midway to plane spot on Saturday I will be posting the vids I get on my TikTok official_icyy_clan
Awesome catches of B717-200s N921AT, N960AT, & N952AT also what are some good spots at Midway for plane spotting because I’m interested in planespotting in Midway hopefully soon.
Great catches of all the airlines that come in to Chicago
Everytime i go near midway airport i always see a 737 fly over the street very low..
I remember when they used to be a mix of airlines and airplanes flying in and out MDW. ATA Boeing 727s and 757s,Vanguard 737s Vanguard 737s,Chicago Express/ATA Connection Saab 340s and Jetstream 31s,Midway Fokker 100s. Times were good in the mid to late 1990s.
10:05 Hedge Fund Billionaire Ken Griffin's private jet. Good catch! N302AK / Hex id: A326CA
There’s a southwest plane out there still in its old livery?
By design like other airlines. Painting a plane the old livery for the retro look.
Sadly N711HK was scrapped last year.
Great video
Nice!
