Good game!
Shocked the post launch patch didn't fix the Dragons
Yeah it’s been rough lately now that everyone knows haha
It feels like this div really need all Razvedka recon infantry units just to bolster the lacking infantry tab.
I want a Métis infantry card but I’ll take any buff at this point 😂
This Suojeluskunta guy is a single-div andy that just spams Engineer 1 because they're bugged right now.
He’s been a longtime player of Berlin com. I was largely just coping with the engineer dragons but they are brutal in this matchup haha. I’m convinced 119th is the worst division in the game atm
Yea tank damage on inf in buildings seams way to low. It doesn't even affect cohesion that much.
Low damage is not the problem, suppression is the problem
Just really hard to dislodge high HP infantry squads from building at the moment. Need an insane amount of firepower. Usually it just turns into having to buy artillery and very slowly grind them out for 40mins 🫠
Insane how the dragon I wasn’t fixed after early access. Eugen is a tortoise with the fixes/patches, but quick to drop paid DLC 😂
I really hope it’s fixed this upcoming week 🫠
I paid just to see this
Fair enough 😂 make sure to watch the SELECTED game as well. I lose that one 😭
I think you really are supposed to rely on the TO-55s (and the Buratino) to clear towns with this division, but the Dragon being broken messes things up for that unit specifically. But the best choice is to just avoid town fights as much as possible and attack through open areas where the T-80U's advantages can come into play, assaulting towns is the last thing this division wants to do. If the opponent gets a pile of infantry into a zone and you can't cut off their reinforcements, then you've already lost it and you should attack somewhere else and let them stay there for the rest of the game.
I think a mix of Vasileks and Msta-Bs could work out for artillery? The Vasileks are relatively cheap and can aim, burst-fire, and reposition frequently enough to avoid heavy artillery with long aim times while anything lighter trying to counterbattery them can face counter-counterbattery fire from the Msta-B which has a long enough range to avoid pretty much everything but very expensive stuff, and just forcing the opponent to bring that in is a victory in itself.
Spetsnaz also should be doing special forces things instead of being used as frontline infantry, the airborne deployment gives you a chance to sneak them through enemy lines like that one Fox in this game. Mi-8s from the helo tab can also fly in Spetsnaz & OP teams to get surprise RPG-29 sideshots on their main reinforcement road and then ambush any infantry that chase you into the forest.
>Buratino
I don't think any sane person (definitely not in a 1v1) is going to get it when it costs 400 points and eats 3 whole supply trucks per reload. That thing is absolutely tragic. TO-55 is decent although it's rather expensive for what it is.
Vasileks don't really work unless you have a lot of them but I can sort of see it, the Msta is good though, and I can sort of also see using the Su-24 for towns against divs with bad AA (it turns like a brick though so it's not great for anything that has AA).
The spetsnaz OP are pretty good for the spooky stuff, but they still die extremely easily. The big spetsnaz squads are absolutely frontline infantry, it's a complete waste trying to use them for ambushes because they have no AT (and thus are useless against the tanks and APCs you will usually find on a supply road), and they're pretty much your only big squad that can take and win an infantry fight.
With the exception of a few decks like 2UK (the lynx rocket transport is absolutely broken at the moment when it comes vetted with the SAS) heli insertion isn't used too much, because all transport helis except the chinook and maybe the Mi24 get 1-shot by planes, and get insta-stunned and killed by stuff like tarrasques, not to even mention the more dangerous stuff like pivads, so trying a heli-drop opener is a death wish and doing it later in the game isn't much safer if the enemy notices.
@@mrdoge9508 yeah the Buratino has been severely overnerfed, but I think the devs' intention was that would be your big trump card for clearing towns that would make up for your lack of infantry. But I think it's good that the supply cost is high enough that players can't casually spam it against anything that moves because that sucks to play against. It's a tough unit to balance.
Spetsnaz can win 1v1 fights against regular infantry squads but not cost-efficiently, it's very bad to have them taking shots from enemy fire support, and you only get 4 of them, they are high value targets that will attract arty/bombers if they sit exposed for any length of time. You will never win a face to face attritional infantry meatgrinder with this division against any other division, you need to use the little infantry you do get some other way. The Spetsnaz and OP squads can cover each other's weaknesses and if they ambush some expensive units in the enemy rear they can easily make their points back and then some, but you need to be able to control which one the enemy is engaging at any given time, which basically means you need to be fighting with them inside a forest. And their MGs don't fire on the move so you want enemy units to stumble into an ambush instead of assaulting with them.
Yeah don't fly your helos straight into enemy AA positions, if you're inserting recon and special forces units with helos you fly low through the empty parts of the map, around the map edge or over rough terrain or water, drop the squads well away from any enemy units, and have them run a few km through forest cover to get to their targets. Ideally you don't get noticed at all but if they do spot you and send planes then you should welcome the opportunity to intercept them with your superior ASFs away from their AA with the support of the IR missiles on your Mi-8 Eskortniys, that is basically the best case scenario for you to have an air to air engagement with this division.
I personally prefer the gvosdika as it’s mobile. In my experience using the Msta-B they get counter artillery easily and require lots of micro to keep moving and firing. Basilisk also require large amount of supply to keep firing but honestly haven’t really tried them on the launch build yet so something I should experiment with. Burantino is just a no go as it’s currently 450 points and cost 3,000 supply with a 6 min reload time 🫠
Its very difficult to face overwhelming infantry push with this division. Perhaps if you wouldnt loose that Mi24 as it was very unlucky.
Also, for countering NightHawk is very difficult due to stealth. You need a combination of long range AA (which your division doesnt have) and ASF with exceptional optics to spot it early and shot down.
Very true
