Concerted Efforts in Tackling the Oil Spill Incident

The Government has taken clear steps to the oil spill incident that took place on 14 Jun 2024. The clean-up has entered the next phase with concerted efforts by agencies, industry partners, NGOs and volunteers to mitigate the impact. As the oil spill situation remains dynamic, the agencies will continue to closely monitor the situation.
Minister for Transport Chee Hong Tat, Minister for Sustainability and the Environment Grace Fu and Minister for National Development Desmond Lee provided updates on the oil spill incident to the media at the Ministerial Press Conference on 24 June 2024.
