Warren's version of "Into the Mystic" is as good or better than Van Morrison's. His VOICE is the greatest since Gregg Allman's passing. He ain't no slouch on guitar either.
I sure can’t disagree. The guy and the musicians he plays with are awesome. Warren once said sometimes music sounds good, other times it will move you a little bit then there are times when the music is so good it’s like an out of body experience. Well he said what I have felt so many times especially at his concerts that I am just floating down a beautifully colorful river of musical notes. Amazingly talented musicians ❤❤❤❤
My wife and I make seeing him as an annual event. Thats been for quite awhile now. Not a bad way for a couple old geezers pushing 70 to have a great evening. Warren never ever disappoints. Listening to his music can be an out of body experience. Won’t stop till we drop.😊😊
Warren's tone is the same on any guitar--amazing! A Strat with Lace Sensor pups, or a fat necked 59 Les Paul. Amazing. Its in his heart and soul and is transferred thru his fingers...
To be able to play guitar like that , sing like that and write songs like that ( and be a nice guy into the bargain) seems unfair in some ways , but I`m glad he can and does.
LOVE this stuff. Warren in ANY setting. I got to see him at Peach Festival AGAIN this week. No auto tune, no pretension, no dub. Just pure talent and connection to the rest of us.
Warren Haynes today has came so far since these days man oh man I love his video's I've never heard anyone make his guitar cry like he does on beautifully broken with George Foreman Jr video ,wow unbelievable
I had the pleasure of meeting Warren after one his gigs last year, What a nice humble human being. I asked him about the red strat and what a lovely sound it had, he told me about the pickups and the other mods it had. I then asked him why we never see him with it anymore, he told me it was stolen after this gig.... never to be found.
764 LIKES is criminally underrated. The fucking tone from this legend and the song itself warrants way more likes. I just think the video hasn't been shared much.
only heard of this guy years back never listened to him till now was jamming along to Etta James I'd rather go blind then I saw a cover by him I had a listen and now I'm hooked great voice awesome player
Sad I didn't see this show. Saw the ABB at the Beacon the month before and didn't know about this until now. Such was life before the internet. The ABB and Warren were on fire in '92.
Checkout Warren when he was young in David Alan Coe’s band on Austin City Limits when they play Cripple Creek …guy has been incredible for 40+ years !!!
Oh Wow! I thought Gregg Allman wrote this song. Warren and a couple of associates I never heard of did. Dan Toler (RIP) rips it up real good on the Before the Bullets Fly Album. Good stuff! Thank you!
Some of commenting on the red guitar. There is (or use to be) an interview conducting in Japan with the Allman Brothers & Warren talks about that guitar. He had it built especially for him by the Fender custom shop & he said it had a special "red" head stock & Eric Clapton hardware. Warren used that guitar often in his early years with the ABB (see Blue Sky 1991 from Germany on RUclips) but somebody stole that guitar in New York. It is a great sounding guitar. Wish Warren could get it back. And whoever stole it...Well I better not say what you should do!!!!!
burstCPH No I have no idea where it is today. But I've read over the years and as recently as this year from Alan Paul that the guitar was stolen from Warren. I assume Warren has no idea who took it and what happened to it. It would be interesting to know who got it and how they were able to swipe such a famous guitar players instrument.
bob lackey You are completely right, something must have slipped down the way.I just feel sad that maybe such a fine instrument (with a lot others)is laying about at shooting galleries,or what do i know? But anyway i'm sad, these guitar(s) should be played by their rightful owners .There is a lot of fine guitars around-(stolen) i'm sure :-(
thatd be hard to steal youd think mustve been a inside job even in a case people would notice you leaving with it but it happened a famous jazz drummer had his kit stole and was found here in some dudes barn a whole entire drum kit that would take time they law found it though and was returned I cant recall the drummers name maybe last name fox he played a duel with buddy rich so he was pretty damn good lol whats scary is to think that strat might've ended up in a pawn shop or the world addicts being passed around and traded nobody knowing what they really have or care
i remember there was an entire set of warren playing the strat and I believe it is from the time right before he joined the ABB. I cannot find it anymore here on youtube. if anyone has it, please share the link!
@I clicked because Warren Haynes said he was inspired by John Lee Hooker in a video a just watched. A trend of popular guitarist inspired by black blues players. I love when art is shared and appreciated but don’t forget who the real innovators are.
+dean mccaskill It is amazing what a skilled guitarist can do with whatever brand of instrument he uses. Well, at least if it's a Gibson or a Fender. Me, I am partial to Gibsons, like you. But Warren is fantastic with either one.
Thanks Jarrett. I`ve got 3 DVD`s of Warren playing and no sign of a Strat on those either ( I`m in UK , so getting to see Warren is difficult ). Wish these creeps wouldn`t steal guitars like that. Warren makes it sound superb , of course.
damn... I donno which warren I like more. early 90's warren or early 10th century warren. both is pretty god damn sick if you ask me. everyone who like this should buy his two solo albums. damn sweet
Warren should be in the HALL OF FAME surely what fantastic playing and singing he is a legend not heard enough
His knowledge of rock music borders on master of tones
Hell yeah he should be, songwriter, amazing guitar player and amazing human
Warren's version of "Into the Mystic" is as good or better than Van Morrison's. His VOICE is the greatest since Gregg Allman's passing. He ain't no slouch on guitar either.

I Think , Warren HAYNES ,Is The Greatest,"Best " , Musician Of The Era From '89 Thru 2024.. 😮

I can listen to him play forever and never get tired of his music.

For sure. Pure gold. For the youngsters out there this is how it’s done.😅
Strat or Gibson? Who cares, it ain’t the axe it’s the lumberjack chopping!!! Warren is one of the best.
Warren Haynes today has came so far since these days man oh man I love his video's I've never heard anyone make his guitar cry like he does on beautifully broken with George Foreman Jr video ,wow unbelievable
Yeah but I love his playing on the Strat.....
I love Warren's awesome collection of guitars..❤
That’s it man! 🔥✨

"BUMMER" 😕
As good as it gets. I come back to this video for inspiration before gigs.
764 LIKES is criminally underrated. The fucking tone from this legend and the song itself warrants way more likes. I just think the video hasn't been shared much.
ya,I just found it.
Randy Petree you are speaking truth
Heard the guy yell play all night...well I guess I would say the same....my God , what an amazing artist he is ...a natural...
Good Lord, how can one man be such a PERFECT Blues Rocker Musician. That was as good as a Studio Cut! Haynes is The G.O.A.T.
I play jazz guitar and love Warren's approach. His bends are so smooth
The "SONG" That Cemented, Warren HAYNES , To Greg A., FOREVER..🤔🎸🎶🎵🎶👍😉

Super delight licks from Warren back in 92',it's bloody 25 yrs ago...good job mr Haynes.

Oh Wow! I thought Gregg Allman wrote this song. Warren and a couple of associates I never heard of did. Dan Toler (RIP) rips it up real good on the Before the Bullets Fly Album. Good stuff! Thank you!

The style of playing reminds me of Mustang Sally by The Commitments

Thanks Bob for info about the red strat.Knows where it is today ? They (Fender custom shop) could have made an "signature" ri ?

😄🤘"CAN'T YA FEEL THAT FENDER" ??🎸🔉🎶🎵🎶
Love it
ONE BAD ASS GUITAR PLAYER🎸
WOW OH WOW!!!
That must be the best tone I've ever heard come out of a strat!
i remember there was an entire set of warren playing the strat and I believe it is from the time right before he joined the ABB. I cannot find it anymore here on youtube. if anyone has it, please share the link!
Totally agree....
tone touch and taste
Nice Gregg Allman cover.
Dangerous Dan would be proud
Don Cheadle on keys - 1:50
Yeah... "THEY" all look alike.
@@guyfawkes578 and “THEY” tend to be better musicians.
@@blackjesustj Yeah. And I'm sure you clicked on video just because you knew a black man was playing keys. ✊🏿✊🏿✊🏿✊🏿
@I clicked because Warren Haynes said he was inspired by John Lee Hooker in a video a just watched. A trend of popular guitarist inspired by black blues players. I love when art is shared and appreciated but don’t forget who the real innovators are.
@blackjesustj So all you see is color, huh?
Not used to him on a Strat. I'm a Gibson guy. Can help it. I've got lotsa both, but especially him he needs his LP
+dean mccaskill It is amazing what a skilled guitarist can do with whatever brand of instrument he uses. Well, at least if it's a Gibson or a Fender. Me, I am partial to Gibsons, like you. But Warren is fantastic with either one.
+ALBERTKING901 I agree. Actually since then I've bought a Strat and a Tele( American of course) and yeah I love them almost as much as my LPs.
A Gibson man kicking ass on a Fender.
yep
What a guitar tone..on the opposite spectrum of that organ sound.
I never really listened to this gentleman. He sure is a fret board master imo.
@Woodstock109 No doubt dude--true PHAT tone! :) Such a great sound!
The best
Me too !! ( Warren H playing Strat ). Shame he doesn`t use one anymore - does he ?
Thanks Jarrett. I`ve got 3 DVD`s of Warren playing and no sign of a Strat on those either ( I`m in UK , so getting to see Warren is difficult ). Wish these creeps wouldn`t steal guitars like that. Warren makes it sound superb , of course.
so am I @ the Ryman...can't wait.
His voice is awesome like a cross between greg allman and brent mydland
I was told once “The wrong of a gun, is the woman is holding!”
Haynes on Fender! It's a bit different, but it is always good, very very good!
I would give my both arms to play like that !!
Is Warren Haynes playing a Clapton Signature? He cranks up the tone boost for his solo. So im guessing.
AT ABOUT 4:16 DOES WARREN LET THE BULLETS FLY!!!!!!!! I KNOW THAT RIFF, BUT I NEVER HEARD IT DONE LIKE THAT!!! OI VEY TIMES 10!!!
Yeah, ole Warren will blow your mind like that at times. He does it for me in "Fire In The Kitchen" too.
Smokin he wrote this for Gregg in '87 bit this is the shit
❤
