I just bought this guitar ... the Metallic Dolphin Grey ... looks amazing! Neck feel is incredible, that satin finish just suits me perfectly. As someone else said, it feels modern but sounds vintage. It's really well made, I'm blown away by the quality ... which I shouldn't be as this is my second MIJ tele.
Beautiful guitar. The Japanese quality always stands above the rest. My Gretsch Japanese made Country Gentleman is literally a work of art, so I am sure Fender sourced the right factory to produce these models.
Japanese Mustang 65 owner here. It’s quite an amazing guitar and always makes me smile as much as my American Pro Strat with a Rosewood Neck. I also have had several Japanese made acoustics such as a Yairi Bob Weir sig and a Yamaha AC5R and they were amazing! Mij is what I really look at first when I want to buy a guitar, Bacchus, Momose or a Japanese Fender Jaguar is probably going to be my next guitar.
Im going to take a moment to say I really admire your video quality. I just watched one of your videos from 6 years ago and damn!!!! You guys are killing these demo's/videos now. Great Job!
This sounds amazing. I am an acoustic player who rarely plays electric. I have always wanted a Telecaster just because.... When I get bored with my dreadnoughts I pick up a 00... This came up as I was about to step into the shower, so I had great acoustics and no headphones and I must listen again but it was impressive! I am probably too old for such a cool new toy...
@@Bigbeardfpv okay I will drive my red corvette convertible to Texas as soon as I buy one. Actually I recently bought a new Martin CEO 7 and it is enough for now.
So Cool. Great Demo guys as always. I have had several Fender electrics and this one looks a modern and welcome version. Plus made in Japan is Awesome. I'm sure Jimmy would love to play it upside down.
Man, this guitar looks gorgeous. Perfect telecaster for me, exactly what i was looking for. The finish is so reminiscent of Tim Henson's tod10 signature.
I have the blue one! If it just had the series mod! Otherwise it has many great features and lightweight. Yeah thought pickups would be hotter. They are both 7k ohms. Locking tuners 12 in radius.
This guitar reminds me of Fenders SE custom FMT Tele in terms of aerodynamics and modern. The Babicz full contact bridge may be the most comfortable Tele style bridge I have played, and without doubt, one of the most precise bridges to intonate and set string height. It's spot on. Super comfy. I was iffy about the pups based on videos alone but they really are nice. Just know this isn't a Telecaster just like the FMT. If you want true Tele this isn't it, but this is a super good mix of something different.
It seems to me that the Aerodyne Tele's specs are very similar to the '83 USA made standard Telecaster, which was quite unique in terms of neck/nut measurements, not to mention it had a Schaller bridge and saddles. It was a top loader! can anyone comment on this?
Why doesn't anyone mention that the bridge is made by Jeff Babicz, he is an American innovator his full contact stuff rivals any hardware company in the world
These are a nice stylish twist on Fender's classic models. Always tough for brands like Fender and Gibson to balance up their heritage with the modern, but this manages to just about pull it off while leaning more heavily into the latter than is usual for Fender. Not crazy about the painted headstock, but always nice to get a bound tele and I like how sleek and clean the design is.
Areodyne or player plus? I want to buy one or the other but not sure which is the better choice. General playing at home. Classic rock style. Only four years playing. Thoughts?
If you want the tele to look like more like a traditional tele, get the player plus. If not, I would give the edge on craftsmanship to the aerodyne due to the MIJ manufacturing. That's not to say top notch stuff isn't coming out of the Mexico factories. my 50s vintera telecaster has a great feel to it, but I've never heard bad things about the Japanese fenders.
two player strats with plus top i bought new went back to the store for one QA reason or another. MIJ Hybrid came to the rescue ..perfectly crafted, dream specs. Odds are the US QA on average isnt as high. Just bought this aerodyne tele coz MIJ is the sweet spot on quality, specs & affordability
Y'all started out and ended out talking about the difference between this telecaster and a regular telecaster but even though y'all have a regular telecaster behind ya y'all didn't bring it up front to show the differences
To me, this guitar sounds more like a Stratocaster than a Telecaster. I realize I don't get the most realistic sound, listening to this over my little computer speakers, but from what I can hear, it's more Strat than Tele. Nonetheless, a beautiful guitar and I sure wouldn't turn it away if somebody gave it to me!
It's definitely Tele, not Strat. I own the California Blue Tele and two Stratocasters. The bridge pickup sounds fatter than my Strats and the neck pickup sounds warmer. The feel of the neck is VEEEEERY close to the feel of my SG.

I have a Japanese made Gretch les paul players addition.
Quality is A1.
Sounds awesome.
@@dudley509 I have a japanese ibanez and it's as good as, if not better than an american custom guitar that I own.

Agree one showed up at work today … beauty

Amazing guitar. I own the California Blue, the best color I've seen on any Tele, including the Butterscotch. It sounds vintage, it feels modern.
By far the best tele on the market under 2 grand. Absolutely love mine won’t change a thing on it
Sounds great, looks great. I love it without the pick guard.
The platability of the Aerodynes is amazing. I haveca Strat and from first play I have lived the series

@@Bigbeardfpv and, no thanks, I'll buy something appropriate like that vintage...
If you’re still able to shower yourself unassisted you’re good to go!

I've owned over thirty guitars. My 2019 Fender Aerodyne strat is the best guitar I've ever owned hands down.
I have a Gretsch Penguin that’s MIJ…it’s flawless (and expensive). I’ll be picking this up in a couple weeks. I love MIJ gear.
Voiced pretty nicely. I'd still yank the bridge pup out and put in a dimarzio chopper, but it's still sweet.
I have the blue one! If it just had the series mod! Otherwise it has many great features and lightweight. Yeah thought pickups would be hotter. They are both 7k ohms. Locking tuners 12 in radius.
Beautiful playing on clean mode 👌 Was it an improv or a song i can go learn? Cheers
Looking forward to the Aerodyne Special HSS Strat review!

If Fender says it's a Telecaster, IT IS a Telecaster.
Every once in awhile if I don't have anything going on I turn on one of your videos just to hear Cooper play... Is he in a band I can check out?
I just bought one and received today paid $599 from reverb in mint condition very light
Sounds great and looks very comfortable. However, aesthetically...a pickguard on a Telecaster is essential IMO...
Would you say this is better or the player plus tele?
How does the neck and fretboard compare to the neck and fretboard on the Ultra Telecaster??
It seems to me that the Aerodyne Tele's specs are very similar to the '83 USA made standard Telecaster, which was quite unique in terms of neck/nut measurements, not to mention it had a Schaller bridge and saddles. It was a top loader! can anyone comment on this?
I need a Yoyodyne Industries Telecaster. Going to open for Buckaroo Banzai and Hong Kong Cavaliers! - John Bigampstack
Clean sound is beautiful! Didn't care for the distorted tone at all. (And I love gain)
I can't decide between an Aerodyne Telecaster or a Boxer series telecaster. The Boxer seems pretty good, is it worth it to upgrade to the Aerodyne?
Why doesn't anyone mention that the bridge is made by Jeff Babicz, he is an American innovator his full contact stuff rivals any hardware company in the world

Sounds great! Are there any effects or pedals connected in between?
Try watching the video again, right around 6:15 you may find what you're looking for.

You guys have killer videos but your website needs an update. Not sure if Im doing something wrong, but I can never look at any your guitars.
No, not my thing.
The American Vintage 2 would be more my style,
But, this would definitely suit a lot of people.
a little thin and bright...not in a bad way but its snappy!!!
Just like most Fender Japan guitars
