    I've heard of Korngold, but not Die Tote Stadt. Thanks for sharing what was to me a new melody with us. I'm also really impressed by the improvisation here: it shows a full command of the keyboard, is in a convincing Romantic style, and is played expressively and sensitively enough that I'd have thought you'd rehearsed this for weeks, rather than made it up on the spot!

    What a wonderful rendition of a beautiful melody by an underrated composer. Do you do others from Die Tote Stadt ...? I guess it's an 'improvisation' instead of a transcription that you didn't write down ... which I sincerely hope you did!

    Fun. When hearing piano pieces by Rossini I felt it could be a good idea to compare his coloraturas to Chopin, and maybe Korngold does not fit so badly with Rachmaninov, but maybe it is more the ?
