Ryan Tedder Vocal Range C#2 - C#6

  • Опубликовано: 22 авг 2024
  • VOICE TYPE: Light lyric tenor
    LONGEST NOTE: 12 seconds
    TOTAL RANGE: C#2 - G2 - C#6 (4 octaves?)
    LOWEST NOTE: C#2 (fry), G2 (chest)
    HIGHEST NOTE: Bb5-B5 (mixed), C#6 (head/falsetto)
    Ryan Tedder is the lead singer for the band OneRepublic. He also writes and produces songs for other artists, such as Beyonce, Adele, Christina Aguilera, Ellie Goulding, Adam Levine (Maroon V), Jordin Sparks, Demi Lovato, and so many more.
    What some people don't know is that he has one of the best vocal ranges and voices in the music industry.
    So far, no one has made a "complete" vocal range montage for him. So I took the initiative to make one for him, as well as being a huge fan of OneRepublic myself.

    There are so many vocalists with amazing ranges but only a few I find have the tone that makes the hair on my arms stand up. Ryan's voice does that to me. When he hit that note on Apologize/Stay with me at Pinkpop it was literally "music to my ears" - lol.

      I know right. For me, Ryan has always been a songwriter first, but it's clear that he's been training his voice for years. He has one of the most unique voices in the music industry today. To me that Bb4 was his money note. It was powerful, resonant, and effortless.

    FINALLY SOMEONE / SOMEBODY SHOWCASE THE GREATNESS OF RYAN TEDDER'S VOCALS!!!!!!!!!!!
    I love your vocal showcase of Ryan Tedder's voice and your amazingly well crafted video editing skills!!!
    I look forward to seeing more of your vocal showcasings from highly underrated artists instead of always seeing vocal showcasings (from: Mariah Carey, Beyoncé, Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, Christina Grimmie, and hardly anyone else.) 😒

      The moment I watched so many live performances of OneRepublic, the more I appreciated Ryan's vocals! His vocals are average in the studio, but it's during live performances where his vocals truly shine. He has a ridiculously high vocal range (I really believe he can go even higher than C#6), can execute vocal runs, has a natural grunt similar to Beyonce's voice, as well as having great support on the higher registers despite him having asthma.
      Who are other underrated artists you can think of?

    • @dearsaintnobody3702
      @dearsaintnobody3702 8 лет назад +2

      +Underrated Singers' Vocal Range I, also believe he could go higher in head voice and wouldn't be surprised if he had a whistle register.
      And there are so many underrated artists, but I'll just list a few favorites... Colbie Caillat, India.Arie, Tracy Chapman, Robyn, Kelis, Paula DeAnda, Amber Riley, Jordin Sparks, Blake Lewis, Chris Richardson, Jessica Sanchez, Phillip Phillips, Jack White, Neon Hitch, Natasha Bedingfield, Daniel Bedingfield, Daniel Merriweather, Dwele, Marsha Ambrosius, and so many others, but the list is already long enough. LOL.

    • @underratedsingersvocalrang4116
      @underratedsingersvocalrang4116  8 лет назад +11

      "I also believe he could go higher in head voice and wouldn't be surprised if he had a whistle register" he did once say in an interview that his voice just "does this thing that it goes higher and higher". because of this, I assumed that his range may be more than 4 octaves!
      Also, I will try my best to make vocal range showcases for some of the singers you mentioned. :)

      For Christina Grimmie's low notes, there's an E3 in her cover of Bound To You (around 1:03), a note that sounds like a brief D3 in her cover of Say Something (around 1:40), some F#3s in her cover of Hold On, We're Going Home (when she sings "I want your heart, love, and emotion"), some brief F3s in her cover of Hello, and a G3 at the beginning of her cover of Counting Stars on The Voice.

    Vocal range is just one aspect of what makes a singer great; Ryan primarily sticks to the 3rd and 4th octaves, only occasionally pulling from notes in the 2nd and 5th and hardly ever the 6th, but it's the way he uses his notes that make him such a good singer. Still though, that range is impressive to stay the least.

    Actually, his SINGING range would be something like G#2 to Bb5. Closer to 3 octaves, than 4, cause his C#2 was spoken, yeah, but not sang or sustained. And it was chest-fry mix. His C#6 was exclaimed, so it didn't count either. But anyway, he's very good vocalist with good technique)

    kids, you gotta listen to some pop legends of the 80s. Morten Harket of the band "a-ha" (song: Take On Me) once had a 5 octave range. Listen to him belt out on The Sun Always Shines on TV, Hunting High and Low, and Living a Boy's Adventure Tale. just to name a few ;)

      Disk Munki I doubt that Morten had 5 octaves. Never heard him doing a note in seventh octave.

    it had been listening to his early demos never knowing he would become popular with one republic. he deserves all his success

      yeah I have listened to his solo stuff before. I have to say his voice is versatile. most tenors in pop music have voices that tend to sound too boyband-ish. but Ryan Tedder is an exemption. he can sing pop, rock, soul, R&B. for me, him and Brendon Urie have one of the most versatile voices in mainstream music today.
      about Urie, listen to Panic! At the Disco's Death of a Bachelor and their cover of Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. his voice is so versatile as well. It's just amazing.
