I've always wondered if an imposter could ever have feelings like remorse. It seems plausible, but this is exactly what I had in mind when I imagined if they would be able to emote truly.
I like to imagine that some impostors are like The Thing, parasitic monsters taking the apparence of the crew, and others are humans, serial killers
@@fatalos6855 I mean, apparently then impostors are shapeshifting parasites. It doesn't say anywhere they are emotionless. Which is probably why we are even allowed to control them.
My head-canon is that they (the impostors) are an alien species that are trying to hinder humanity's space exploration. Think about it: we have 3 maps. One is a spaceship, likely for transport of crew and supplies, the other is a laboratory built on volcanic grounds, focusing on studying alien lifeforms, and the other is a space station for researching alien flora and artifacts. No cities or anything like that. Just a few select places. They probably don't want to be found, and so they kill the research crews,and anyone around them.
Maybe I'm just overthinking it.

I think that's an interesting way to see it !
Blue Thunderbolt I always thought they were shape shifters, too. And since they can have mouths on their stomachs, that would make even more sense. But for what you’re saying to work, they would have to had already killed a crew member or two to infiltrate. Otherwise, the others crew mates would be suspicious of them, in the first place. I also like the idea of there being either both alien shapeshifters and/or humans (with bad intentions). This gives it more flavor, especially since the killing animations can involve weapons or sci-fi elements. Maybe they’re humans who aren’t keen on Earth interacting with aliens and secretly team up with them (the aliens) to keep the crew from advancing. This would be very ironic, though.
Blue Thunderbolt Also, I meant to add that since there are different areas that they explore, there’s the possibility that they get infiltrated regularly, which is why they have a system for calling out imposters. That would correlate with the game since you can have multiple rounds which would just be different situations where the imposter(s) came aboard. And 3rd imposters could be crew mates who were bribed or were just bad eggs from the start, and just want to sabotage the mission.
Jeez, I honestly feel bad for orange, and to think this is about a gamer with murderous space beans. At least he will respawn :,)

It's literally what happens. You play as crewmate God know how many times and then, boom! you're impostor.
I think the comic might've not known about the whole parasite thing, but it would make sense. First of, they are parasites that take over their victims. But to be as good of an imposter as they are in the game (where they literally are the real person but with different goals and only act different because they need to kill), it's only natural for them to take over their victims memories too. Also since they take over the whole body which obviously includes the brain. Now that may exclude their feelings, but even if it does, there's always exceptions. And maybe the parasites can actually start understanding and feeling emotions, like in d:bh, where the androids would logically not be able to feel emotions but get the ability to, by being with humans and around traumatic events.
But I guess technically there's no canonly accurate explanation to all this since there is almost no canon. It's really cool to think about though.

I made a game, and we were 2 imposters. I didn't kill anyone, my colleague killed 6 of them, and got ejected. But I survived until the end. And so it was ! That was one of the best game I've ever did.

(Kyle looks at Cameron along with the human-sized heroes)
Nick Fury: I can't be too sure about that.
Deadpool: He's a mole so I'm sure he'll dig through any situation.
Kyle: If you say so. He's pretty much our best bet to give us the A O K to strike.
Biollante: No need to worry, Kyle. Let me warm you up.
(Biollante picks up Kyle with her top set of vines and gently squeezes him against her belly)
(Kyle happily snuggles Biollante's massive juice-filled belly and gradually absorbs heat with his Biozestokinetic Absorption as dim orange waves flow from his fingertips to his shoulders)
Kyle: I'll have to gather more heat. Thank you, Bioblueberry.
(Biollante smiles)
Biollante: You're going to need it and that nickname's pretty cute.
(Nick notices the waves flowing through Kyle's arms)
Nick Fury: Kyle, you can absorb energy?
(Kyle turns to the right to look at the others)
Kyle: Well, I could only absorb fields of atoms colliding at fast rates and they aren't influenced by energies like Ultraviolet or Gamma radiation. Trying to break down my ability to absorb just heat is complicated. Other than her form becoming useful in this situation all of us are in, she's very soft and sloshy...

Kyle: Ehhhh, yeah in a way, but not what you would expect from a cat. When it comes to manifesting into a being of heat, the molecular structure of my body separates and collides so all I am is just a human-shaped zone of atoms hitting each other faster. Guess I went through slight Molecular Oscillation when I was feeling very comfortable.
Homer: Or in simpler terms, you're a human, a thermostat, and a kitty!
(Homer laughs for a few seconds)
Cameron: He might as well be called, "Thermostat Cat Man".
(Kyle feels a bit annoyed)
Kyle: Guys, I'm not a cat and besides, I already have a superhero name and it's, "Warm-monger".
Godzilla: Nah I think Thermostat Cat Man is WAAAAAY better!
Steve: That should be a name for a Minecraft RUclipsr.
(Deadpool rubs his forehead with his right hand back and forth as he processing a new idea in his mind)
Deadpool: Mmmm.
Cameron: Deadpool's got some sort of juicy fourth wall break coming.
(Deadpool stops pondering)
Deadpool: Looks like I got an idea for if Dax Shepard had a role in the film adaption of CATS.
Godzilla: Ughhhh, that movie blows.
Kyle: Seriously? I liked it. The repetitive Jellicle Cats song was weird, but the twist of Grizzabella being the worthy jellicle cat to go to Heavenside Layer was interesting.
(Cameron dramatically)
Cameron: Kyle is a cat!
Steve: He'd be good friends with Stampycat.
(Homer does a slow vertical paw swing with his right hand)
Homer: Meooowwww!
Nick Fury: You make a less scary cat than Goose.
Kyle: Oh boy......
Biollante: It's ok, Kyle. Whether you're a human, cat or whatever, I think you're my favorite cat.
(Kyle turns to the right and looks up at Biollante with a bright smile and a little blush on his cheeks)
Kyle: Thanks. I gave you a silly name like "Bioblueberry" so it's fair that I do the same with being called, "Thermostat Cat Man".

Did you know the imposters was actually based off the movie made in 1982 Called “The Thing”. The thing basically is a parasite that slowly takes over the body and transforms the human into a monster (Which means the imposter isn’t an alien at all just turned into something different). The people the thing infected dont know they’re infected until its too late and they’re fully infected. There is probably no cure. So Among us is basically people getting onto a ship with 1-3 infected, and they try to kill as many Humans as they can, there is no point in doing this, they where just brain washed into doing those things by and infection. There is proof if you look at the beta from 2018 Among us you would run around killing people but the name of the imposter was titled “Infected”. Even the Devs themselves said the imposters where caused by parasites.
