Made this bag out of upholstery fabric and quilting cotton for the lining. At 4:37, you say panel, but use both panels. Took me a couple rewinds and close watching to see you add both in the video. Pretty clear instructions. There are a couple places where saying right side or wrong side could be added in just for clarification, but if you’ve sewn in the past this is a good pattern to try. I would suggest interfacing at the very least the side panel that runs under the bag from side to side. It would help the bag hold its shape better. I wish I could add a photo.
I used interfacing on the vinyl gusset. Works well.

I'm just loving your patterns
I was able to sew this bag with a mini sewing machine, which was a bit of a struggle. I had to skip stitching the webbing to the front of the bag because it made the layers too thick for the machine to handle. Still, the rest of the bag was a success. I'm new to sewing and I learned a lot out of this video. Thanks for making such comprehensive content! Soon I will have a real machine and have even better practice.

Same I sewed my zipper on backwards! Haha. Spent an hour getting the stiches out!

Just finising up my second one of these. I used a Hex Cam- HyperD 300D Ripstop. Its a 3.9 oz/yd². The lighter fabric is easier to wrestle the corners when stitching the panels together.

Nice bag! I'm still practicing on simpler bags before I attempt this one.
One thing, and its not super important but with the webbing used to hook other items to the bag.... The 1" webbing should be spaced 1" apart from the next webbing, then the vertical stitching should be spaced 1¹/²" apart. That is close to M.O.L.L.E or P.A.L.S specs for adding standard gear and accessories. RUclips has tons of links under those two titles.

I used the 600D Ottertex (Army Green) with black 500D Cordura bottom and back as well as webbing and trim.

I’m nearly finished with my first one! I didn’t do the webbing over the front so when your video says “take the rest of your webbing “…. How long is this? I guess I should do the math? I used vinyl for the bottom gusset and the front piece. Blue denim for the rest. Wpc for the lining. Lots of interfacing and decovil heavy.It’s a birthday gift for my sweetheart ❤

Still messed up my zip got funky during the attachment of back and is inside out and a few things could have been explained better for beginners of bag making. Customer service sucked emailed and didn't intact us on webpage no response even after full week of waiting.
I have watched this video which is very good however I don’t understand why you need 5 yds of the .25 in foam I only seen it in the strap part did I miss something?

Hello. Did you already make yours? I'm also wondering about the seam allowances! I just bought this pattern and watched this tutorial several times. Seam allowances were not clear. Most seams he sewed looking smaller than 1/4" but when he attached the zipper to side panels it looked like 3/8" SA. I'm not so sure, if this seam allowance should be 1/4" as the most parts of his sewing.. ? He didn't tell how long the last strap was. Or I just have to guess because it's adjustable strap 🤔.
