What poker hand nickname is your favorite?
I like all the nicknames of the premiums lol! Thanks for bringing more great content Rachel!
Thank you Daniel! I learned a few new ones while making it. 😊

I'm glad you're enjoying the videos Mike! Thanks for watching and commenting. ❤️
Most common term I’ve ever heard for pocket 5’s is “Sammy Hagar” as in his song…I can’t drive 55!
I’ve also heard pocket 10’s be called the Kayaks or a couple of Kayakers because the zero is supposed to be the Kayak and the 1 is supposed to be the their oars.
Hahahaha. I like these!
Ak = Anna kournikova. .. looks good but hardly wins
Hahahaha 😆
Pocket 9's I call the them NINA's a.k.a The Nina's
Hmmmm... I will have to ask my friend(s) named Nina how they feel about this. 😉🙌
Thanks for watching and commenting!
Ace ten is also know as "the thief's hand"
Nice
Pocket 4s = sailboats
Good one! ⛵️
At the 2:12 mark, you say that the pocket 7's are called "WALKING STICKS". I guess they are not called "WALKING CANES" because "CANES" sounds too much like "KINGS".
I hadn't thought about it. I'm sure they could be called canes or sticks but you're right that it would be mis-heard pretty often!
I like to call pocket queens the twins
I approve this nickname! Since I am a female AND a twin, it's pretty much official now. 😉😎
Problem with that is any pair face could be twins. Doesn’t differentiate at all
QQ - Lady Gaga - not mine, most of poker fans will know whom is the author
Cool. I do think I heard that somewhere once... but I'd forgotten.
Is this raw all in equity??
It is the equity against one random hand which is used to rank the hand against other starting hands.
@@RachelHoyt but is the equity raw all in equity against a range containing all other starting hands? Like are aces an 85 percent to win by the river if all in preflop against any other hand?
There is no other information given about how the data was calculated for the chart these % were taken from beyond the fact that it is based upon being heads up against "one random hand". This video was created to discuss nicknames and give you a general idea about where each hand ranks (not a precise calculation). I am not sure how one would calculate "raw all in equity" as you described it. Perhaps you can get a better answer wherever you learned that term. Sorry I can't be more helpful.
@@carterbutler2535 Honestly your question doesn't make much sense. Obviously the hand's equity varies based upon what hand it is up against precisely... and it changes throughout the hand so what does "by the river' mean in your question. Equity changes. It is approximate.
@@RachelHoyt sorry, what I'm asking is does the percent win chance for aces (which is 85 iirc from the video) take in to account the fact that the correct decision on later streets may be to fold therefore causing you to realize a win less often than your raw all in equity. Or is the 85 percent just the odds of your hand holding up on the river against a range containing any other hand as if getting it all in preflop? Please let me know if there is still any confusion
99 = german virgin...shouting nein nein,which means no no
Hahahaha 😆
A J is the parking lot.
Ha. I haven't heard that one before. 😀👍
88>AK 😂😂😂
I know you're trying to help newbies out but those statistics are useless and definitely could mislead people into thinking about the game incorrectly.
If you want to believe there is a correct way to play the game, that is your choice. No one can play perfect GTO and also the "correct" moves are based on playing an infinite number of hands (which none of us will get to do). No matter how good you play, there will be large downswings from time to time. Knowing there is no way to guarantee constant wins and planning how to handle that is more important in my opinion.
@@RachelHoyt the entire way you think of the game is flawed. And idk why you talk about GTO when you clearly haven't studied it much.
