- So yeah this little camping spot trivialises the whole thing. It is a lot safer than the spot on Sullust because there are no fighters and the AT-STs can't hit you ever. The downside is that this takes quite a while to complete. The enemies seem to be completely lost so it can take a while for them to come near your position. If you want to get out of your camp spot to pick up extra lifes (it's not too neccessary though) make sure to jump and only then activate the jumppack. Otherwise you might hit your head on the rocks and fall to your death. Not a nice experience.

Since there's no commentary, there's some things I would like to add:
1. Be careful when you're on that ledge, you'll fall off easily if you're careless.
2. Do not jump when taking cover underneath the rocks that protect you (like at 3:18). You will "bounce off" against the rocks and fall to your death (like he nearly did at 8:33).
3. Jump before jet packing out of that ledge, or else you will "bounce off" once again. Make sure the space above you is clear and you are not underneath any rocks.
4. You have to be patient. The troopers will come down one by one in some cases.

Your main enemies there are Snipers (who can two-shot you) with their smoke grenades and Rocket Troopers who can damage you hard and throw a Thermal Detonator after, which will finish you right away.
Get rid of them first.

+Sweet1337Roll for most people, doing it legit is extremely frusterating. I have seen it done, though, so it's possible. In my opinion, EA and DICE made this mode a bit unbalanced....playing a game on the highest difficulty is one thing, but at least make it fair...to me, it's a bit too brutal. Again, just my opinion.
+Timothy Wolcott Jr. Not an opinion but an objective fact. Tatooine and Hoth might be possible to do legitimately but Sullust in particular is impossible because of the horrible design.
+Timothy W. Completely agreed. The Shadow Troopers in particular are really OP. One shot takes down 75% of health, it's ridiculous.

+Joseph cueto-araiza You can see a really good camping spot for Hoth in my Ackbars Elite Trophy Guide. It's quite easy as well :). For Endor there is a good dead end spot where you can force the enemies into a narrow path. I just realised though that I haven't uploaded a video of that one yet. May do one during the weekend ;)
+Joseph cueto-araiza at Endor there is an easy way , you go straight to the tree platforms and use your jetpack to jump platforms higher that aren't accessible by foot , that way you are a lot higher than anyone other and you can kill them all one by one, i will take you an hour but it's an easy master without dying There is also a video of it on youtube

What do you do about AT-ST's ? Do i have to destroy them or mission is still completed if we ignore them ? The same question is about pods, do you get out of there and capture them ? What are drop pods for actually ? Are they required to complete the mission or just for some bonuses like rockets, blaster machines and area shields ?
+Mateusz Stachecki Every AT-ST counts as an enemy so they all have to be destroyed in order to progress through the waves and ultimately finish the mission. For this map there isn't a reason to go out of your way to get the drop pods. Capturing them takes too long and you don't really get anything useful from it. They drop three bonus tokens like the ones in multiplayer that can give you the same random stuff like turrets, the shield, blaster cannon etc.
this game does not make any sense what so ever, i tried that spot, and what happened? i somehow magically get stepped on by a AT walker, when the foot is no where close of touching me
I played survival on tatooine master difficulty twice now! I used your spot both times, at the end of wave 15 the game shows i have 1 enemy left. I ran the entire map, nothing on radar. Anyone seen this? Not sure what to do. Almost 3 hours wasted and no star :(
+Stephen Lavine same to me but on wave 12. I've found that it's an At-st out of the map, under that spot. Four lives and no death and I've had to quit for this... this is how I became a Sith

This on normal mode is EXTREMELY difficult for me, there were FIVE at-st's

dang it got all the way to the last round and one enemy but he didn't spawn
I wouldn't say AT-STs can't hit you as I was killed on the final wave by a stupid AT-ST when I had no deaths on master.... So angry right now. Anyway, this level is frustrating.

What gun is he using, I've seen other people using it. It looks OP.
+Michael Kolesar It's the RT-97C. It's not really overpowered. It doesn't do as much damage as most of the other blasters but the rate of fire is decent and you can fire a ton of shots before the weapon overheats which is great for this mode. They actually made the gun a bit better in one of the updates. Now you can fire even more shots before it overheats. In return the spread has been increased on longer ranges which is a fair trade in my opinion :)
How do I get to this spot?
ii tried this method, i was 20 minutes in and only wave two. some way to distract enemy towards me?
+Ruben Mandelid I just shot in the air and eventually they always came. If they are far away (you can get an idea of the distance on the minimap) you can also jump up again using the jumppack and make a bit of a move towards them. Once you see them coming in your direction go back into hiding.

+samuel lawton You have to use a jumppack or else you're out of luck. With the jumppack equipped you have to jump normaly and at the highest point of your jump activate the jumppack. Should be more than enough to get you back up ;)
+Beliskner999psn as in jump straight up. Cuz every time I jump straight up I go off to the right and die or I just don't make it and fall back.
+samuel lawton That's what happens if you use the jumppack too early. Go to the edge of the ledge you're standing on and when you jump and then use the jumppack at the highest point you shouldn't hit your head on the rocks above you. Also you can control where you're going with the jumppack with the left stick ;)

Yeah there's no way. I can't get past wave 2 without getting killed. There's nowhere to dodge when you're on that stupid ledge.
+Scott Serr Look at 6:24. There you can't get shot from anywhere really. You're obviously not invincible on the ledge but as long as you take it safe and get into that little bit of cover every time you get hit once you should be fine. You'd have to get really unlucky to die with careful play.
Got to the last wave only to have a dying AT-ST fall on top of me and kill me. Wasted 1 hr and 15 mins of my life. :-(

+David Burns It really shouldn't be too hard to find. It's at the edge of the map and as long as you keep an eye out for the wood stick construct that is going over the edge as you see in the video you shouldn't have any trouble as i think that's the only artificial construct on the map that's actually right on the edge.
PS: Pushing anyone to get an answer mere minutes after asking the question in the first place doesn't make the response appear any faster ;)

It is easier to go 1st person, look up, jump, and then use jet pack
