Had something similar and it was a connection to a fuel injector. It could be low pressure on failing fuel pump starving your injectors.

That's really strange how the intake moves/ticks like that. With not much info on the coades, and the only thing that is attached to the intake that would make it click like that would be fuel. I think you have a failing fuel pump. You state it's worse under load, like towing. Bad coil, spark plugs, fuel injector, compression, can all cause misfires. OR you can sell it to me for $1,000, got cash in hand, and you won't have to worry about it no more.

😂 Yeah, I haven’t figured out that clicking yet. It’s not doing that anymore (just missing) and it’s actually started missing pretty regularly even when it’s warm now. The codes just give a generic “misfire in cylinder 1” (P0301, I think?), so it’s not a lot of help. I guess I’m just going to take it to a shop where they’ll be better able to diagnose it.

Try to transfer the coil to another cylinder to see if code moves or spark plug. And check compression on #1 sometimes code can be wrong and could be misfiring on the other cylinder.

Are there any codes? The clicking is coming from your throttle body.
