Next is to find the right tires, because for a 4WD to slide like this, not common 🧐 And then maybe a lap counter system like Lap Monitor (infrared) or some apps with a smartphone (I think they detect movement from camera). Looking forward for the next vid, really impressive (and to hear both of you having a blast, so nice) 🤝
Oh man! What a layout and that looked like a heap of fun for sure! The BB did really well out there and the RRR looked good to, just a bit of a handful! Some better tires and a bit more practice an d it will be screaming around the track. I used the pipes for brakes from time to time as well!!! LOL!! Great stuff Keith and you guys are going to enjoy a ton of time out there together ripping around!

Love it Keith what a great job on the track unbelievable. Not many people can actually build their own track just saying. Keith those electrics I sent you were for professional racing and were very expensive so try them out 17.5 they fit the rb6.
I believe RC Excitement in Fitchburg isn’t too far from you, or Maximus in NH. Go check out modern racing and maybe try that. I raced at both those tracks when I lived up there.
That was awesome Keith. Race track is awesome. Caleb seemed to get used to it quick, like a duck settling into a pond. I have a Blitzer Beetle. It's actually a half decent chassis, even better with brushless, a good servo and TRF shocks (silly I know, but they work). Looking forward to seeing more of the track. The filming was good btw. If you wanted to go further, a couple stationary cameras and and onboard cam would work well too. Edit it all together and it could look quite good. edit: I drive like you when it comes to tracks.
All that hard work was definitely worth it, you now have the perfect track in the perfect location and it looks stunning!! Awesome to see you both breaking in the track, loved seeing the tyre tracks increasing the more laps you did! Can’t wait to see more 👍👍👍
Definitely. I actually held back on jumps on purpose just to allow some easy drive time. As we get better, we will add more difficulty. Glad you like it.

I share the hobby with my son on tracks and also with crawler, even participate to some friendly competitions. I really treasure those moments with my son. Enjoy it as well, as those are priceless moments!

One thing I thought of straight away when watching the cars go round was how awesome it would be to make that big sweeping corner before the straight as one mega banked turn, like at 30° or something nuts. I've raced my tt02br against high end brands on multiple tracks and it kept up great! A buddy from my local hobby store has a trf I ran last night at the track and the thing floats better then my tekno race buggy! It's all in set up and drivers skill and consistency, love your track and can't wait to see more running videos. Awesome content, love the videos and they show how cool some of the older stuff is and helps keep the more vintage side going!

I need a go pro which I can mount on my head so that it sees what I see. It's the only way I can do it! I'm looking forward to seeing you run more cars especially the Dyna Blaster!
My family would never see me again with access to something like this; turned out sick dude and it was a blast watching that Blitzer go around, the main two cars I run are a vintage Stadium Blitzer and a heavily modified DT-02 Sand Viper.
Getting that DB01 around the track while sliding will definitely help you be a better driver. Especially when you get the correct tires and get the setup just right. Really cool video!
Stunning track, and great to see running videos. I'm pretty sure that once you run that Losi XXX4 it will show some considerable difference between the Durga and a competition spec car.
Right! Funny thing is, Caleb is getting to be a better operator than me as well and he is only 13. Their hand eye is sooo much better than use Middle Agers.
Can you make a board with lap times from all different on ? I predict the trf 201 will be the best on that track although there may be a few surprises like some random rear motor tamiyas that run well.
3 things - 1) this is the absolute shit right here - 2) I’m blown away by how well you can see the cars even at their furthest distance from the driver’s stand - 3) the fact that you can still find the guardrails on a track so wide is a testament to just how big a track for 1/10th scale buggies really needs to be (yes you need some practice & the right tires we can all agree) for all of us eyeing our tiny backyard while wondering if it’s big enough for a track - it’s probably not 😄 Great stuff dude enjoy the shit out of that track!!!!!
XXX4 is very fragile and not a good rough track buggy. Now the XX4 would thrive on your track. I raced both back in the day. Let’s just say I sold my XXX4 and went back to the XX4.

I made every effort to make a vintage style track. Like was used in the US back in the 80’s and early 90’s. I am happy with the results.
The only thing that matters is running whatever you feel like running and enjoying it as it was intended.

It seems like you are racing in the wrong direction, isn't counterclockwise the norm.

Every race I have seen is clockwise. I know castle hill which is what I used as a guide is clockwise.
