She had already been eliminated from the competition, so she had been sitting in the audience with the other eliminated singers. When the time came for this performance, KZ quietly left the audience and snuck backstage. That's why she was not wearing a fancy dress like Jessie J and Coco Lee. KZ had said earlier on the show that Jessie J was one of her idols and you could tell she was thrilled to be singing with her. Coco Lee was the winner of The Singer 2016, 2 years before this. If I remember right, she grew up in the US and moved to Hong Kong when the singing opportunities proved to be better for her there. I believe she's still the only Asian singer to perform an Oscar nominated song ("A Love Before Time" from the movie Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) at the Oscar ceremonies.
Love the Singer show...all the artists on it are bad asses! The band and lighting are world class. This collaboration was amazing. These girls set that stage on 🔥! Fun facts: Coco Lee won Singer 2016 and she grew up in San Francisco, California before heading overseas to Hong Kong to pursue a singing career:)
my favorite part of this entire performance is KZ showing up. was going to recommend a performance Coco did on the singer but it's been removed, she has an incredible voice, they picked the right person to sing with Jesse J
