    Distance Running is simple...First train to run the distance...then train for the speed you plan to run that distance...Thank god I was on top of my game before the days of the internet.

    6x1k at varying rest interval and 5k speed. Shorter recovery as race nears

    Some really good ideas of speedwork here, the 'sandwich style' sounds good haha.. for me i love 800m reps at 5k pace off 2 mins recoveries... think you will smash it!

      Thanks very much. Yeah 800s are good also. Unfortunately I picked up a niggle a couple of weeks back so have had to back off but think I have the green light now so will repeat some of these again

    I want to 45 minutes in this year I'm 45 year old

      This made me smile as it came through on the last rep of today’s session - great timing! Training is ok - 2 steps forward, 1 step back. Should have 1 out tonight actually 👌 how about training your end?

      ​@@martruns23 I was pleasantly surprised to see more content the same day as this 😂 Everything good here (touch wood) a few 5k and 5 mile races coming up. Hope your glute issue sorts itself out. Do you have sports massage? A regular massage helped me out
