Another tip for newbies: take your time and know how to get back to the lantern and spend those echoes before you get lost and killed. This also gets you used to the correct path to the next area.
Yeah carrying a few bold hunter's marks at all times is always a good idea just in case you're getting low on vials or don't think you can handle the enemies ahead, and don't wanna lose your echoes.
In my first playthru, I cleared central yharnam n old yharnam without knowing how to lock on target, without knowing how to parry. Got thru them with much difficulty, as u can imagine.
It took me 8 hours to get out of the central Yharnam area on my first playthrough, I also could not repair my weapons since I had no blood echoes. It was rough!
One tip I can recommend is BUY everything before prices go up. Max out your stock ASAP! What I did was use the Chalice Dungeon CUMMMFPK (~80K free blood echoes). Never had to grind out looking for what I needed. Also, always have some Bold Hunter's Mark on you incase you get lost or wanna get out of boss fights without losing echoes.
I've got a GoTY edition sitting on my shelf just looking at me and I'm only after pre ordering the updated guide from FuturePress. No doubt I will visit this video again when I'm about to start my first proper play through, thanks for this
@@CalamityPandaVT how do u backstab bosses? Parry bosses is pretty common but backstab bosses? How do u even do that, seeing that the bosses are aware of u the moment u entered it's arena?
Have to get behind them, dodge behind them or when they are striking. Land a charged heavy attack on their back and there ya go. Practice is key and learning their move sets and timing as in every game for sure.
Another tip: You can out right buy blood vials I would suggest after leveling up, use your left over echos to buy them or you can get echos through chailes dungeons and then buy your vials
The best advice someone gave to me: there are no better weapons, anything can work. Granted, some weapons hit harder (LHB for example) but if you want a weapon, use it. Experiment, have fun. And remember: a hunter is never alone
For sure. Some weapons have a higher learning curve or require a different play style, but certain weapons like saw cleaver in early game, or LHB for second half of the game are just all around good and "easy" weapons to progress with, which is why you see so many phantoms using them lol
It doesn’t matter much, though. Stacking frenzy resist is maybe the most noticeable thing you can do with armor and runes. Whether or not you can take one more hit isn’t helpful enough that you should do that over using what you think looks cool.
Love this Game so far, nice tips Also, another tip, dont get stressed out or panic because that will get you killed most of the times. Keep your cool and follow the pattern of death, progression and experience. Be aggresive, but composed. This is the secret to this game, dont get mad at it, it is fair, your mistakes must be corrected and you must get over your fears to conqueror the world of Bloodborne
Oh shit. I didn’t know the game kicked you into NG+ like that. I was planning to just run through the story and then go back for optional content. I’d have been mad af. lol Thanks for the heads up!
I wish I knew about **** and the ***** ****….nothing like getting to the end of the game to only be forced into new game plus before you got to do the dlc or the real main boss
Bullshit. When you play bb for the first time you shouldnt know jack shit, that's When the game truly shines. And you revealing mechanics (Spoiling them) are just robbing People from the full experience. If you wish you knew some things earlier you played the game the wrong way. The best part IS Being lost, discovering mechanics , what Works and what does not. I ONLY WISH I COULD FORGET EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS GEM JUST SO I COULD PLAY IT LIKE A FUCKIN IDIOT AGAIN.
It's almost as if I put a spoiler warning in the beginning of the video or something. Besides if people don't want the game to be spoiled for themselves then they wouldn't be on RUclips looking up videos of Bloodborne.

Good advice. I admit I get reckless with my blood echoes later on and have lost hundreds of thousands of blood echoes. Oop.

@@CalamityPandaVT I only noticed about the blood gems n weapon repair after finishing old yharnam. I was a dumb Bloodborne noob then.
After a hard start and spending hours in Central Yharnam i easy got trough. The real Competition starts in NG+
Other tip. If you die, it's because you lost all of you hp.
Big if true
😂
You can buy weapons only when you have the corresponding hunter badge

I was on my second playthrough before I learned to backstab/stagger, now I do it to everyone
It is satisfying to do it especially on bosses!
@@CalamityPandaVT how do u backstab bosses? Parry bosses is pretty common but backstab bosses? How do u even do that, seeing that the bosses are aware of u the moment u entered it's arena?
If you managed to strike them in the back with a charged attack it will stagger, depending on the boss.
Have to get behind them, dodge behind them or when they are striking. Land a charged heavy attack on their back and there ya go. Practice is key and learning their move sets and timing as in every game for sure.

That is a good tip especially for Dark Souls fans starting out since flasks don't refill at lamps or in the Hunter's Dream.

Your armor does matter if you know what type of damage the enemy’s do

one thing i wish i knew when i played bloodborne was how to get out of hunter's dream. I needed to google that up
I needed to google how to get out of Yharnam, city is confusing to navigate on your first playthrough!
My advice, don't be afraid to run past enemies.
Good advice

OP “I have to confess something to you,
I wear dolls dresses in real life too”
Made my character look like Caleb from Blood. Kinda wish there was a pitchfork weapon.
Read this as "pitchfork women" initially and was about to be like BOI DO I HAVE NEWS FOR YOU 😅😂

I think that's a shit advice
What game would you recommend buying?
this game is fair, just git gud
This game is stupid easy. Unless it's the defiled chalice. Fuck that.
I like the "I completely missed..all of it" commentary when you were whiffing at the murder crows. 4:55

First play through of bloodborne happened last Friday and I did no exploring to the point I beat the game the same day I got it
