Like marvel movies
@@hitechinc.7875 marvel doesn't do it as good
Accelerator's power is one of the most coolest and innovative powers I've seen in any piece of media.
So true . he has my favorite power of all time along with " All ficition " That Kumagawa uses in Medaka box
Accelerator s tier character for me
yayy!!! peace peace!! Yeah those are some very cool characters and specially their powers. On another note tho, if you guys haven’t check it out yet I recommend this one anime called Re:Creators, the main villain and antagonist have some very cool powers in that anime. Just recommending it cause it has a similar vibe to those shows character power wise.
@@Wallie33. oh i have been planning to watch that for a long time i just haven't gotten to it yet . will move it up on my plan to watch list , thanks !!
yayy!!! peace peace!! No problem, I hope you enjoyed.
This series is ALL about POV, all of these are intertwined and linked together. Same timeline, same place, everything. You just follow someone different. Also, I believe you can take breaks with these.
Awesome! That sounds really cool
@@BOLDcast and the crazy thing is all of this is only HALF of the series bieng adapted. A Certain Scientific Dark Matter & Astral Buddy don't even have an anime, nevermind Index's continuation New Testament XD
@misterx1212 lol of course, cant forget best girl
@@BOLDcast Each season has a few different story arcs, you can usually take breaks between story arcs.
@misterx1212 This actually exists.
The reason the quality is so much higher in Index 3 is because Index came out in 2008, Index 3 didn’t come out until 2018.
Damn thats a big break in time
@@BOLDcast yeah there was a 7 year gap between index 2 and index 3
Too bad they rushed the shit out of index 3 but hey at least we have the legendary opening "ROAR"

@@KeyboardKlutz_0 no, it was horrible
Regurgitating Gigguk quotes aside, the toaru franchise is heavily underrated in the west but stupidly popular in japan. Everything makes at least some degree of sense since it's grounded in actual science and religion and that's something I enjoy
Edit: Ah, yes. They're people of culture who agree Roar is the better opening.
But the true men of culture love Shadow is the Light as per Lord Nux
better than what ?
my fav index opening is See visions and my fav Railgun( and not only Railgun but Toaru series as a whole ) opening is Sisters noise
Roar and SitL are the only ones I've ever actually watched and listened to and I see I've made the right choice
For some reason, it seems like it's popular as fuck among Spanish people as well. You know, people actually from Spain or who speak... Spanish.
Stupidly popular in Japan + Asia + SA actually, it's just not popular in English speaking America and Europe...
Railgun T is currently airing, which is probably why it has been so heavily recomended.
Oh and I’m pretty sure there is zero connection with mirai nikki.

This series along with the MCs were constantly ranked No 1 in Japanese light novel popularity vote from 2008 up until 2020, so that was like a decade of dominance in Japan and in extent, Asia.

Each series fits together in the same timeline with references, hints, or expanded tellings of events that occur in the timline of the franchise. I would go in watch order with Index 1, then Railgun 1, after that you get a good grasp of the Science and Magic sides also in timeline order Railgun starts before Index. After you finish the first seasons of both go with Railgun S. You get the complete rundown of why Touma (MC of Index) and Mikoto (MC of Railgun) know each other and Railgun S expands of a certain event that takes place in Index S1 which evolves Mikoto. Also S might be the best adaptation. Accelerator season 1 would be next and takes place after season one of Index. Jump into Index 2 with Railgun T following. First half of Railgun T and the first half of Index 2 occur at the same time with more events expanded out in T. The next half of Railgun T comes in timeline wise in between in end of Index 2 and 3 with some characters being in both second half T and in Accelerator. The Index movie could slide next into watch order followed by the third season of Index finishing off the first main series of arcs in the light novel franchise covering the first 22 novels with all of these shows. There is a following 22 lights novels which follows next called A Certain Magical Index: New Testament and after that the next series of Index novels which follow and are coming out in Japan called A Certain Magical Index: Genesis which as 2 so far out to date. This beloved franchise has been around since 2004 with the first light novel and is Japan's best selling light novel franchise with over 80 million sold worldwide. Touma and Mikoto are always in the top light novel character polls. Which Mikoto is called the light novel Queen with her popularity in Japan being #1 except with 2 years since 04'. If you stick all the way though you'll be satisfied and hoping for more.
true 0w0
Actually, you need to watch the Last Order Arc in Index and a little of it's aftermath in order to understand the events of Accelerator S1, since the anime doesn't go over the events that led to him meeting Last Order and the events that lead to him needing to use a crutch.

Great reaction! This series is amazing
Glad you enjoy it!
I highly recommend this series, oh my lord this had such a huge role in my childhood.
The Toaru series is incredibly popular. There's over 100 volumes of the light novel and spinoff mangas. It's won best light novel of the year like 7 times. Mikoto misaka (the main character in railgun) is especially popular. China's version of RUclips is named after her. Many of the features on the website are references to the series and they even celebrate her birthday every year. Also there's an Overwatch league team named after her and they recently admitted her as an honorary member. She's also in the finals for best girl of the decade for 2010-2019
This is my top favorite shows
It looks really interesting!
Glad to see the Toaru series getting the recognization it deserves.

The queen of tsundere, Misaka hahaah

After reading the LN, TouMan got my respect!
27:44 definitely, you can watch it however you want since they are concurrent series that mostly cover different stuff. You can watch Railgun season 1, then Index seasons 1-3, then go back to Railgun, or begin with Index and then do Accelerator, or watch Railgun standalone, and so on. So you can juggle them as you please, just make sure not to begin with Accelerator not watch it before Index season 1.
大好きな「とあるシリーズ」がこうして海外の方々にも人気なのを見ると、凄く嬉しい。4期期待したいですね!
You can tell who's the favorite child in this family watching the opening up.
I seen all of the "A Certain Series". All the shows are connected. Each show explains a different part of the world. Index focuses on Magic, Railgun focuses Science. Railgun does a lot of world and character building for each main character of each show. Accelerator more likely shows the dark side of the world. I recommend watching Railgun s1 or Index s1 first, then Railgun S, Index s2, then next Index s3 and finally Accelerator. Trust me you want to watch both seasons 1 and 2 of both Railgun and Index to build up hype for Index 3. The wait was worth it for me. Watch Railgun T last, because its still new.
You can start at either Railgun or index.
Personally I’m more of a Railgun fan.
yes Railgun anime got better adaptation than Index 3rd season. But still hoping for J.C to do better in Index next season. I can't wait for New Testament that everyone keeps talking about
I personally LOVED having started with Railgun, but I got very lost in some key plot points presented in Index 1. So I recommend watching the start of Index, then Railgun all the way, finish Index 1 and then watch Railgun S, then Index 2 and finally Railgun t (I haven't watched Index 3 but Railgun t starts with Daihaisei so makes sense chronologically).
No I think they should start at index because index come first then railgun
Nick Ifill Chronoligacally, not really. Index 1 starts with the sisters incident, Railgun doesn’t.
sorry I didn't know thanks for telling me now I get it
Index is much denser and more complex than Railgun so you'll probably be inclined to take longer breaks from it. Railgun is fluffier and more like a normal shounen so it's a comfortable watch.
Just watch Gigguk's The Fascinating World of Index/Railgun and Why You Should Watch It
There's never a dull moment in this city!
Index the main series
Railgun, Accelarator and Astral Body side stories also canon
Imagimary Fest mobile game
No lie my jaw dropped when I saw the thumbnail of Toaru OP reaction, one of my favorite series.
there are 2 GOOD watching orders:
railgun order-> watch first 2 seasons of railgun, then watch index and last railgun season whatever order you like knowing timeline is index1= railgun S and index2= railgun T
release order-> index s1 -> Railgun -> Index II -> Railgun S -> Index III -> Railgun T
and then we have accelerator that you can watch any time after finishing index s1.
IMO this is one of must watch series
When you spoke about the show, wondering how all the pieces fit together and thinking about what you like in it etc, I can say that this series ticks all your boxes. Everyone else already explained how the shows intertwine with eachother, but I can perhaps expand on it by saying that there is a definite reason for everything that exists in the world of this series. Nothing is left up to chance, and the lore goes very deep and complex - but that said it's still easy to follow. That's why the show is so good, it balances complexity of the world and character interactions with a relatively easy-to-follow plot and storyline. Very few anime makes this amount of complexity so easy to handle, credit going to the writer(s?).
I think you will both find many elements you like in this series, and it doesn't really matter that much which one you start with, and you can easily take breaks if you want. Technically Index is the chronological start, but you can also start with Railgun if you like and hardly lose any context. Each series does a great job of picking up the pieces and make everything understandable even for new viewers.
Also Railgun series is straight up fire, with many really great moments and a great storyline.
If you guys actually reacted to the entire series, that would probably push me over the edge, and finally sign up for Patreon lol
I was waiting for this one to happen eventually. The fist couple seasons haven't aged particularly well (mostly because they are a decade old and date to when all the classic anime tropes were in full swing, but it does get toned down eventually), but I still love this series and the OPs are all pretty solid. Index, Railgun and Accelerator all happen around the same time frame and even overlap on some occasions, so it's really cool when you see the same events from a different perspective with added details. It's a daunting franchise to get into, but I do recommend checking it out (Especially Railgun, as season 3 (or RailgunT(hird) is especially good rn).
Index and Accelerator (best character in the series imo) have their strong points too, but If you only want to check out Railgun, you can just go that route (however, you will miss one or two minor details from when they overlap in Index). Here is the simplified recommended chronological order (trust me, it can get complicated):
1. Railgun
2. Index 1 and Railgun S (these two basically happen at the same time, but Railgun takes the best arc of the series and makes it better)
3. Accelerator
4. Index 2 (I also believe the movie takes place directly after)
5. Railgun T (currently airing)
6. Index 3
Apologies for the wall of text. I recommend just watching by yourselves, but your choice. Loved the reactions btw, especially to Index 3 op 2.
Though I absolutely love the Index series, it's unfortunate how JC Staff didn't handle it's adaptation as great as Railgun or Accelerator, but part of the reason stems from the fact that it's much easier to adapt Manga than Light Novels; the whole series is great and one of my favorites, consider checking out the Light Novel if you're interested
Watch Order I recommend, Index 1 and 2, then Railgun 1 and 2, Index 3, Accelerator, then Railgun 3
"was she a test subject?!"
*intense sweating*
Rail gun is the best one. For Accelerator, it’s too early to tell, but solid series. Magical Index can be summarized with the phrase “...and then it got worse”. Still better than most series, though...
Well just from the OPs Im most interested in railgun so its awesome that lots of people seem to be saying its the best one
@@BOLDcast yes railgun the anime is best of 3 anime but index the LN is best overall. You could start with railgun and next railgun s just know s 2nd arc is only filler and that you have to watch index 1 and 2 beford railgun 3 since 3 major developement arc hapen to misaka where 1 is both serie but 2 other is only in INDEX 1 and 2 so watch index 1 and 2 beford railgun T
Railgun is a manga, index its a light novel and its the main story. Railgun T dont make sense if you dont watch/read index. Season 1 and 2 of index are good the problem its the first half of season 3 its too rushed and really confusing. I think watching railgun t and accelerator before index 3 maybe helps to understand the first half of the season 3 better.
If you talk about third season, yes it a mess they cut a lot from the light novel
Kori ch. not really. Index 3 was rushed as hell. It wasn’t that it was different to how we imagined it, it literally was skipped. And Index 1 and 2 animation and action wise, is pretty damn good.
Index S1OP1 was the OG hit, until today, whenever I heard Touma’s phrase: Kagaku to Majitsu kosasu toki, Monogatari wa hajimaru! (When Science and Magic cross over, [epic] story begins!)
Sends chills down my spine!
Its not a spoiler to say they interlap/at same time, or else you would be severely confused. It doesn't change how the story plays out, but rather expands on it. That's all you'll get. There's a guide somewhere out there that lists the chronological order of episodes.
27:46 you can take brakes. You can watch all series in chronological order in this case, so you will have no problems with understanding timeline.
Thanks for the reaction!
The main series is Light Novel based, so arcs are relatively short with plenty of spaces for breaks. Railgun and Accelerator are more half-season long arcs and aren't as friendly to it.
This is actually a rare case where I'd suggest watching in semi-chronological order, starting with Railgun Season 1, listed arc-to-arc instead of episode-to-episode. I can provide a more detailed watchlist if you want.
Yes you can actually take breaks likee react to a season and watch something else or watch a arc like for 6 to 12 episode. It's not a problem.
“Woah! She can uh...uh....”
*”jump”*
Yess been waiting for this:)
Hello Toonie
You can easily take breaks between each season of each series. A watch order I'd recommend is: railgun, railgun s, index, accelerator, railgun T, index II, index III. There's only one instance where there's an overlapping arc and it's covered better in railgun S than in index I.
Shakugan no Shana OPs, thanks.
...Shikoku no Shaga lmao
ImIss the anime soo nostalgic
The To Aru series[A Certain _____ series]is reaaaally good. The best way to explain it is its all about the different moving parts. With 3 different series made to play off each other there are plot points that end up being massively relevant to essentially the entire franchise as a whole and when you have those points where you can see the framework put in place it feels absolutely amazing. Somehow it feels distinctly 2010s era of anime even in the newer installments but it was very much ahead of its time. Honestly I cant recommend enough people to try To Aru
I watched the whole anime recently and I will say that it has an amazing power system and breaks are definitely doable but the arcs are pretty big so you’d have to find somewhere in the middle. Seeing you guys react to this would be very interesting

05:26 To aru Majutsu no Index has been the most popular Light Novel series in Japan for many years between 2008-2014. In Japan this franchise is extremelly popular.
Now it got overshadowed by rise of isekai boom though.
Railgun season 1 comes just before Index 1 and then they overlap a few times. For the most part they are self contained, but there are certain parts presented from 1 view in index, and a different one in railgun.
Your reaction is very interesting, hope u guys have more views
Thank you!
At last a reaction about all toaru majutsu series op including railgun an accelerator..this is one of my fav anime because it is interesting to watch
Alright! First of all, a warm welcome to Index. it's a wild ride! Now, if you may be doing this in the future, gotta pick which order to do it. Oh boy, let's go kk XD
To put it simply, there are essentially two ways to watch the series: broadcast order or chronological order.
*Broadcast order* is the way most people did, because they watched as the shows were released. But, as someone coming into the series right now, there's an opportunity to do it in *chronological order* , which is arguably the way you can get the most out of the show since you won't get spoiled by events from one season that were more deeply shown/developed in a later season. And by that, *I mean especially Railgun S (second season of Railgun)* . Just for that, I highly recommend watching Railgun and Railgun S first.
But, of course, both ways are great. In the end, it's really a matter of preference \o/
You can find the order by searching for something like "how to watch magical index series".
A quick disclaimer, I'm not talking about the *true chronological order* . That actually hops between series in the middle of the seasons, since the series mostly happen in parallel. I don't think anyone would watch it in that order unless they are either rewatching or doing some sort of challenge.
super late, but the same writher Kazama Kamachi wrote all three series, so you know that the characterization and plot thread interweave pretty darn consistently
Reaally love the series leaned to railgun more as its the first toaru i watched i didn't even know it was just a spin off till i saw index really hoping you could react to the whole series
I haven't finished Toaru but basically:
-Index is the main series
-Railgun is a sort of retelling from Mikoto's perspective (I personally recommend starting with railgun because it gives you more context while index jumps into things without you knowing what's going on most of the time)
-Accelerator... let's just say that it was necessary for him to get his own series for a reason 😈
My personal favorite ops are Accelerator and Railgun T. But I have a feeling that might change when I get to index s3 (i saw y'alls reactions but skipped when you got to the ops for Index 3 so I wouldn't spoil myself lol.
I'm really liking it, I hope y'all will start it soon too
The Anime came out in 2008 the Light novel being created in 2004.
The timelines for these 3 series run parallel to each other (it focus on different characters in different series - Mikoto Misaka in Railgun, Touma Kamijou in Index, Accelerator in Accelerator) and you can see what they are doing whilst all of the action/ other stuff is happening with other characters). You can look up the correct order to watch the episodes from the different series online as you can end up watching ep 1 and 2 from Index, then ep 1 - 4 from Railgun, then back to Index etc. in order to see what the different characters are doing within the same universe. If you look out for background images such as news coverage in the different seasons it may inform you of something that has happened which was only followed by a different character in one of the other series... e.g. if there was an explosion for whatever reason and in had to do with Mikoto Misaka (Railgun), you may see a reporter in the background (no sound usually) reporting on this. These are little things you can easily miss on the first viewing.
I love this series for its out of nowhere plot twists
Light novel started in 2004, anime - in 2008
Please react to it
Оrder: Index 1 -> Railgun 1 -> Index 2 -> Railgun 2 -> Miracle of endymion (Index movie) -> Index 3 -> Accelerator -> Railgun 3
Yes you get it
Yes this is the release order but not the chronological order.
But Honestly i was the release order so either is fine.
You can see it in chronologic order or how they were emited on air.
I really prefer if you see them how they were release because this adds more enjoy when you find out one reference from other show, example a reference of Majutso no Idex on Kagaku no Railgun and you realize that something is happening behind scenes connecting the points.
Accelerator was the villain of part 2 of season one of magical index and part one of season 2 of Railgun, which takes place at the same time. Railgun T takes place the same time as part one of season 2 of Magical index. Accelerators series takes place at some point after season one of magical index but not sure when.
The red lights on buildings and some high voltage cables is so that airplanes can see where the buildings are.
Railgun mc is one of those characters that just has really stylish and cool moves
React to beelzebub opening and ending, it's an underrated show but packs some good laugh
Railgun can be watched whenever as S1 takes place slightly before and during Index S1, Accelerator needs some prior watching as he is a character that is introduced in Index and the anime takes place after his arc
Oh looks like I'm Late... But anyways I recommend the Toaru Series and Reading LN
Great reactions ! Actually the part "Index" and the part "Railigun" happend in the same time in the show but focused on different caracters : Touma, the boy, and Misaka, the Railigun.

Same
Wow you really did ALL of them
great reaction, could you fit in yowamushi pedal opening reactions into the list? Underrated sports anime.
You can watch them at any time and in any order except that you need to watch index 1 before accelerator. Otherwise you can take breaks and watch railgun or index first
