46:12 is my favorite part of Lost reactions. When people realize what certain things mean, or make connections between different episodes that answers a lingering question.
I loved how emotional you got during the Jack/Rose scene. Oh, you're in for a treat when it comes to emotional moments lol I'm so glad you're watching!!! Enjoy the ride
The fact Locke was quadriplegic for 4 years and then he could walk again after the plane crash is his secret he told about to Walt... As he told to him, a miracle happened to him
I just found your channel. I was looking for Lost reactions. I have watched many on RUclips. But never before have I started watching one so close to the start. You're a great reactor so far and I am excited to begin this long journey with you. I am glad you are receiving clarifications as you go, just watch out for spoilers. Hopefully nice people can weed those out for you.
You hit on an important point there, Carmen, about Jack's plan to burn the bodies. No way any fire would be hot enough for long enough to incinerate them to ash. Instead, they would be left with a bunch of charred bodies inside the fuselage still needing some kind of burial.
I was a Pateron member for Fringe. Always hoped you'd get to this show someday and oh my gosh you did! Now I'll have to join again to get the full reactions.
FYI, my korean girlfriend tells me 'yogi' is Korean for 'Here' or to get someone's attention, so that's why Sun said that to Jin. 9:15 Sound seems familiar...and FYI, at 17:55, the machine on Locke's nightstand is a muscle stimulation device, both a hint of his condition as well as a way the writers explained how he didn't lose as much muscle mass as someone with his condition would.
Pre-watch: This is gonna be good. Bravo to the editor for getting Locke's calculator sound into the final cut. Could Randy be any more of a dick? Like seriously. Who talks to a guy in a wheelchair like that? We are given a hint to Locke's condition when he uses the example of a guy climbing Everest with no legs when arguing with Randy. Re: Walt, Locke and the miracle... 1 mystery solved, dozens more to go!
Another reactor channel a year or 2 back. She noticed immediately in the opening scene when you see Locke's sneakers... the bottom treads have almost no wear on them. Now that's a nice detail.
Yeah, well some reactors over-analyze things to such an extent that they take all the fun out of a show/movie. For example, I saw these two reactors who hit on the BIG REVEAL of Mr. Robot in the first episode.
i feel like Randy has a tragic backstory. he must've been severely abused and bullied as a child. only Light can drive out the Darkness. Justice for Randy...
Certain religions are very much against cremation, to the point that it would be considered a sin or might condemn the person being cremated to whatever version of hell they believe in. Some religions have such strict rules on the treatment of the dead that they require burial within a certain number of days. But, like Jack said, "We don't have the time to sort out everybody's religion". The conditions that these survivors find themselves in are quite likely not covered in the "how to handle the final disposition of a deceased person" section of any religious texts. Don't feel bad about not getting the "miracle" happening to Locke connection. I think a lot of people, myself included, were in shock when we first saw that he was in a wheelchair. And I agree with @joseliano325, you are definitely going to need a bigger notepad. Or multiple notepads.
'I wonder if it was some spinal injury, that for some reason, the plane crash, unblocked some sort of nurel pathway that allowed for him to walk...' I've heard other recators say stuff like that. But think about it. He's been in a chair for four years. His muscles have atrophied, even if what you say is true, he wouldn't have the muscles to stand and support his weight. So, something happened that completely restored him. I mean completely. What does that? This show is about mystery, and 'what's in the box'. So, you'll have to be patient. They will answer questions, but slowly, and on their time. Just get used to that right now, lol.
I find it endlessly hilarious how you missed the obvious reveal that Locke's recovery was miracle because you are too damn analytical and very much an overthinker 😂 (It's not a diss! I say this as someone who has been watching you since GOT days).
I love the end of his episode, the music turns the horrific event of the crash into a beautiful miracle where he can walk. This is also the episode where you realised this is a sci-fi show and not just a survival drama.
John Locke didn't have a flag in his bedroom and not photos of soldiers either... We only saw a mini American flag, next to his bed but we don't know exactly if it was his or if it was the packaging af a food, we don't see precisely, it's a little blurry, and he's in the U.S., just like you, Carmen, and you know how many Americans have American flag in their home, that does not mean they're soldiers
What is IT? The monster The large thing making scary noises, knocking down the brushes? It's wild and random enough that it couldn't be guessed. The writers sure had us going with Locke, huh? We're made to expect he had an evil secret, then...naw. Many characters are named after historical figures, centuries in the past. The writers would be asked if the show was going to try to be realistic. They said 'yeah', then.......over the run of the show, it gets pretty crazy , wild, unexplainable, random.
Hey Carmen, just a friendly advice for you: with this show you need to put your brain to work and try to focus on the details in the background, for example in this episode, Locke's shoes were clean, a sign he wasn't walking. Great job at observing Jack's reluctance to do the memorial service. It means something.
No, she doesn't need to do anything. I've been watching this show for 20 years and I never noticed the shoe thing until someone pointed it out recently. The massive reveal at the end of this episode was supposed to be.... a massive reveal. Whatever cues were planted were INTENDED to be missed. So why the hell are you telling her she NEEDS to see that stuff? People get so ridiculous with stressing reactors for nothing. Did YOU notice the shoe when you first watched? I'm gonna guess no. Then zip it and let her watch.
@@artemis2569 trying to guide the reactions is bizarre and counter productive. Clean or new shoes are hardly concretely indicative of anything anyway.
The "okay" sign that Americans use, is vulgar in the rest of the World. It's like giving someone the middle finger. That is why the Korean lady looked at Michael sort of surprised.
Locke has his legs back. I love that he opens his knife box with his foot...because he can.
