In today's video I'm going to be journaling ALL DAY LONG !!! How crazy is THAT? I've had a millionnn things that I've been wanting to journal about since MAY of this year, so I thought I'd finally sit down and have a JOURNALING MARATHON! How many pages do you think I'll write?

OOOOOMG it is so refreshing to see that I'm not the only one who puts each set of markers &/or pens in their own separate container. Whenever people come to my place and see all the different containers with different markers, they tell me that it's excessive and just to put them all together, and I'm like NOOOO, I just like to keep each set separate and organized. Seeing the box @1:36 just warmed my little artsy heart. Thank You. :)

hey carrie! omg i envy the fact that you had the patience and attention span to write almost all day long, i rlly wanna try that sometime! and yeah, i've recently started putting a contents page on my journals (yes, journals *plural* xD) and i number my pages, then I mark which pages have the entries etc. that i often refer back to. i highly recommend it, cuz it's soooo helpful!

This was really interesting! I was like “Maybe I should try it” but I remembered that I already did it when I had spent more than 9 months without writing in my journal.

Alright, i have a table of contents and a cover for every journal, (the cover is usually just a picture I drew or a pamphlet that relates to what’s in the diary ie: I had my school play pamphlet as a cover) the cover for me says the day it starts to the day it ends like monday February 2nd- Saturday April 12th 2020 or whatever the day is, then on the table of contents I just have bulletpoints of everything that happened which is super helpful for when I’m trying to find a specific day/entry
Also a word of the wise: PUT YOUR COVER AND TABLE OF CONTENTS ON THE INSIDE COVER
I used to put the cover kn the front cover and the contents on the back cover which I don’t recommend because you move them around, shift them every which way and they end up ripping since they’re literally just taped on pieces of paper so do the inside cover, it really helps!
I have discovered your channel a few days back and OMG....I am loving your videos. I have been journaling on and off since last 5 years but started seriously 2 years back. As far as a table of contents, recently I went through all of the journals I have filled up and made an excel spreadsheet with the journal number and the dates.
I love your videos! I’m an avid journal writer as well. Been writing since 1996 and have 136 journals and counting!

Instead of having a table of contents at the beginning, I wait until I'm about to write the very last entry in that journal, then on loose leaf paper, I index the entries by a title and the page number. It's a nice way to revisit and reminisce before I write the last entry, and it is wayyyy easier to find my favorite ones years down the line.

I've been journaling for a little under a year for mental clarity and to support better mental health, and I just found your channel! I often feel pretty insecure about journaling just because its a vulnerable activity a lot of the time, and watching your videos has helped to inspire me and get me feeling more confident about it. It also helps me to feel like I'm journaling with someone else, but not have the pressure of them watching me. Thanks for the great content!

A table of contents would make my journal feel like an assignment. I don't organize my journals. I do add time stamps and the day of the week. I sometimes add the weather, moon phase if it sounds cool, sunrise and set time. It gives it a different vibe.

Two months late, but I'd say I don't really create a table of contents in my journals/diaries. Thats because I LOVE the process of reacting to the moments I wrote down. It takes up time to find the page you want, but its a great time!

for future journals do contents of months like one for march with all march pages, one for april with all april pages ect.
I started keeping a journal in 2019, it was mostly writing about cool things that happend and drawings here and there, i used a full notebook just for 2019, 2020 i started writing on a new notebook all about 2020, it got way more sirus, but i didnt write like every day, just more offten, agian a whole notebook for one year, now that i found this chanel this helps me write every day about my self and focus and how i feel, and it helps me with my anxitey, and helps me relax so thank you!

I suggest a table of contents, sometimes it is symbols, sometimes just normal numbers (most times) sometimes just washi tapes as my indicators. It helps organize so much and also it can be a purely cute page. I time my pages and journal really well but if you are halfway through on one I suggest using it as a "limbo" section when you do it in between months

Hi, i start journalising for a year now and i was very slow i was just writing about my old stories that happen to me bad and good both, but now i start working in an office and when i go home i start writing or write before sleeping. It feels really good.

i usually just go with how the journal i bought is structured. i used to tape things over the table of contents pages (if my journal had any) but i do use it in my current journal. i'm not sure how convenient it is though because I have about 30-40 pages left but almost no space left on the table of contents pages.
if I have any pages in my journal that I need to go back to from time to time to add things I usually just put one of the two bookmarks in there or add a post it on top. I think that might work better for me.

Whoa! 30 pages in a day is a lot! I Think the most I've done in a day was probably around 10 to 12 pages I Think

I've been journaling everyday for about a year now and I've been journaling off and on since 2019 I filled out 17 journals all but 4 are from this year. whenever I have a big life event happened I will Mark that page with a tab so then when I go back and look at my old journals it is easier to find Big Life events.

Here's a little tip from your loyal subsriber
When you like set up your page for journalling ik its extra but i put the date, time, and weather on one line then write my mood.
For example
Monday 21st May 2022. 10:42pm. 🌇
Mood: Excited

I've never had a table of content but, with you saying that and me thinking about it...it makes sense! That way you don't have to flip through each page to find something you want to reference. Maybe leave a page blank at the beginning to add content after you write about it. Reference the page number with a brief symposia and you're set!

Oh and as for making a table of contents, I saw someone use washi tape to mark the beginning of a new month in her journal. She put a piece of washi tape on the first page of a new month and used different washi tapes to represent different months. This can also work with highlighters or markers, or you can even color code your journal enteries based on your mood, the topic, etc.
I love all of those ideas!! I usually separate each month with a calendar that I fill out throughout the month of all of the things I did
