How hard is life in prison? We explore the prison regime through the eyes of officers and inmates in Changi’s Maximum-security prison. How does an inmate live in a single-man cell?
In this first episode, we enter a world behind bars to meet the inmates. We follow Graceson, a gangster who manages to get himself a new tattoo in prison and is duly caned for it; Khai, a professional skateboarder who is just coming to terms with the loss of his career; Rusdi who is counting down to his release in 50 days using packets of snacks; And Boon Keng gets into trouble for keeping origami in his cell during a cell search.

Why should law abiding citizens be thankful? If you keep within the law, then, you can enjoy the many priviledges that a freedom life offers. If, on the other hand you choose to break the law then you deserve to lose all priviledges. My take is, that, all prisoners are banged up by choice! Those combined toilet - shower bases, made out of hygienic, easily cleanable stainless steel, seem very practical to me. They save space, and money too undoubtedly, and their combined function forces the inmate to keep the whole thing clean. The only possible disadvantage I can see for the inmate is that in western prisons where they have actual stainless steel toilets of the type one could sit on (although they don't come equipped with a separate movable seat) inmates are known to use them to wash clothes in. As absurd as that may sound to anyone who lives a free life and thus may be used to more comfort, they will keep the toilet immaculately clean as well, especially on its inside, to be able to use it for such a double functionality.

American jails are a vacation. by punishment that fits the crime. Instead they get gym, basketball, any sport, cards games, etc. Yet they think it is horrible to treat shameful people as they should be treated. You can't punish the wicked its against moral existance, discriminatory. Or dare I say racist? Anyone in jail for violating the law or murder should be punished publicly and swiftly.

There's a reason Singapore has one of the lowest crime rates in the world. Prison in America is a joke. Believe it or not, i have done time in many of the "worst" maximum security prisons in America-state AND federal (Attica AND San Quentin; over half of all max sec fed USPs, coast-to-coast)-and I'm here to tell you that, compared to this, they're all like a summer camp. We need to seriously toughen the punishment for crimes in America.

compared to a Russian prison, they live in paradise. In Russia, the law does not work even for free people, and prisoners are not people at all for them

Inmates here are enjoying life in prison with everything taken care n fully provided unlike other countries where inmates basic needs are not met and life is always at high risk so hope these inmates really learn and repent from their mistakes after their release
