Mallard ducks are found in North America and Europe. You can also encounter them in Australia and New Zealand, where they have established themselves as an exotic species. They are the most common ducks in Belgium. You can find them on nutrient-rich lakes, rivers and shallow bodies of water
Wilde eenden komen voor in Noord-Amerika en in Europa. Ook in Australië en Nieuw-Zeeland kan je ze tegenkomen, daar hebben ze zich als exoot gevestigd. In België zijn het de algemeenste eenden. Je vindt ze op voedselrijke meren, rivieren en ondiepe waterpartijen
