Hi Chris, I have a couple of questions concerning this one. Octoprint is always in safemode and says plugins will be disabled (this is fixed by rebooting octoprint a couple of times). The only issue I still have is the following, so in settings when I test stream everything works well, same for snapchat. When I print a file I can see that the camera is timelapsing as it should. The problem I still have is that I can't see the camera footage in the "control" tab? Any ideas what might be wrong? And thanks alot man, you've brought me so much further than I ever thought :) + troubleshooting has learned me it all works perfect in firefox, not in chrome.
Most of the time this is caused by a browser issue. Delete all your cookies and it should start working again or try a different browser. If it is testing ok, this is about the only thing it could be.
Hi Chris, The vast majority of these things go way over my head, however I still love watching them as I take in information very slowly, and the more I tend to watch something it slowly starts to sink in a click, plus, the way in which you teach really helps a huge amount, as I have said before, I really wish I had teachers like you when I was in school... That is helpful.
Sweet!
Its a year late but was just following your video and found the link to the FFMPEG encoder broken. I was able to find another one through the use of Git since its a different process. Get into OctoPrint virtualenv. Git clone (github.com/FFmpeg/FFmpeg.git). Then the process is basically the same except you use (C:\OctoPrint\ffmpeg\fftools\ffmpeg.c) in FFMPEG location. Also need to enable FTP in YawCam. (Hope this helps any late comers. )
Oh yeah I believe I added a environment variable of ffmpeg.c ---> (location of ffmpeg.c). *Not sure if this is a fix or does anything. FYI*
Oh after 'git clone' do a 'pip install ffmpeg'
Thanks for posting this fix, I knew there were a few things different now.
@@ChrisRiley No problem. Might want to check the ffmpeg part. Im getting rendering errors after the fact. Ill get back with a fix if you havent found one by then.
