    I love how you pointed how incredibly DISRESPECTFUL ghosting is. It’s treating someone like they aren’t even a person with emotions or feelings. Total disregard for the other person. It’s far more respectful to have a 2 minute conversation where you’re hurting someone’s feelings with your honesty VS. ghosting them and causing a world of confusion and prolonged emotional turmoil. Thanks for making this video.

    • @stevenkrupka3670
      @stevenkrupka3670 2 года назад +7

      No contact is a RESPONSE to anothers' ending the relationship.
      Where a decision has been made by a partner to END things.
      Its a form of self, emotional preservation, a coping method of an already pre-determined fact/behavior or action of another.
      Ghosting can be viewed as a "pre-emptive strike " on another by disappearing, ignoring, without any type of conversation, warning, concern for another.@@dwightschrute8141

    If someone ghosts you, consider yourself blessed. Ghost them back and never allow them back into your life. Obviously, they were playing games with you from the beginning. A person who is grown, mature and really interested in you will not do that.
    I’m tired of immature/narcissistic people playing games with a person’s emotions and hearts. The funny thing is, when you have nothing to do with them because of their cruel actions, they can’t take it.

    There's no excuse to ghost these days with cellphones and texting. Anyone could easily at least send a text and simply say, "This isn't working for me", or whatever.
    I just got ghosted after only a couple months of dating. I know that's not long, but I feel he led me on because he kept talking about future plans, where he wanted to take me next, and said things like, "We'll have to have another date soon!!", and "Get your passport, l'll pay for it!". He even bought us concert tickets for March 2024, when it was only October 2023. So...why in the heck would he disappear without a word after that? People are so cruel. Now I don't trust anything anyone says.

    Ghosting sadly is not just a phenomenon that occurs only in dating. My ex wife ghosted me after 15 years of marriage. She told me she had to go to another part of the country for medical care and left on my birthday, never to be heard from again. At the time I really had no clue. The worst part is she left under false pretenses and sabotaged my life in many different ways afterwards. You think you know someone when you spend years with them... but in some cases, like mine, you really don't. Some people are so closed off and avoidant that there can be a lot going on behind the scenes that you have no clue of. Be mindful, be alert, and ask questions. Your wellbeing might depend on it.

    It’s very hurtful. My relationship ended because of ghosting. I was actually a secure attached but I my anxiety got triggered after an argument about spending more time with his friends rather than with me in a long distance relationship. Now I understand more about his dismissive behavior & I noticed my mistakes too. I threatened to leave several times. Well now it’s over. I’m finally letting no contact happen.

    • @andrasziegenham6766
      @andrasziegenham6766 3 года назад

      I wonder how were you secure attached if this happened? I had some secure periods in my relationship (the first 3 years really), but I wouldn't have ever called myself someone of a secure attachment style. I was secure towards her only because she wasn't really my type at first and she was ~extremely~ needy. I just couldn't imagine her leaving me, I was actually hoping she would leave me, so I wouldn't have to dump and break her heart. Ironically after our first breakup, which was initiated by her, but was mutual and amicable, I started falling for her and 2 and a half years later I actually loved her and she broke my heart without mercy. But anyways, I wonder why would you call yourself secure if you did those things? Are you secure in all other (non-romantic) relationships?

    One person I was interested in ghosted me because my friend at the time threw herself at him and he went for it. Of course he never told me the truth and she lied a lot, but their photos were on social media. To make matters worse, she told my coworkers (we worked together) and I was made to be the laughing stock at work. That was one example of how ghosting was traumatizing for me. It was a stark reminder of how I was always made to be the ugly girl that nobody wanted as well as someone being "better" than me. I deal with it better now, but it still haunts me to this day.

  • @_mcknight

    I was ghosted and blocked on social media for no reason. Really messed me up and I'm still trying to get through it. It's hard because part of you not only wonders what it was about but also if they'll ever come back. She was the greatest, sweetest girl I ever met and we never had any problems. It's so weird, if I text her (which I haven't done in some weeks, and 2 months before that) she'll read it. Why read it? I don't understand. It has truly been a very traumatic thing for me to experience.

She is seeing another guy now from what I saw on HER social media, but he is a serious downgrade. Which just shows me even more that she's not someone I would even want to get back with.

    Thanks for this video. This really helped me alot. I was ghosted by 1 ex which devastated me. I've never encountered a woman like her. Being ghosted was the ultimate form of disrespect in a relationship. I'd rather deal with an abusive, controlling, and jealous girlfriend because at least she wants me and gives me attention. You don't have that certainty with someone who ghosts you. I was left asking "why? Everything was going good so what did i do wrong?" I was looking for break-up advice and they weren't very helpful. That was until i came across your channel which answered all of my questions. I breathed a sigh of relief knowing it's not my fault my ex ghosted me. Then he panics that I'm saying goodbye and we see each other again. This has been the dance for a year. Lather, rinse, repeat. I've asked him numerous times for my clothes when he's disappeared again. Then He panics that I'm saying goodbye. He never gives me my stuff, and when he reaches out again, it's "Hello, how are you doing"? I wait, respond briefly. Ask how he is. Silence. It's exhausting. Your videos are so helpful to me. This video seems to cover about when you get ghosted at the beginning stages of dating or just meeting someone first couple of dates. Could you do a video about getting ghosted during a long term relationship. Year or longer. Where you don’t even know if the relationship is over or not. Just left in limbo. They just one day stopped talking to you. I’m anxious she was dismissive avoidant. She avoids conflict or difficult conversations. If you try to explain or talk things out she would accuse you of arguing even though you were trying to find a mutual solution together and approach those convos from a place of understanding or open to being wrong. Normally if we have a falling out I’d over pursue make all the mistakes beg pled cry become over emotional. This time I didn’t. I see ghosting as disrespectful. Immature. Especially after years of being together. No plans to reach out. Idk if I’d ignore if she reaches out but don’t really know what would be the appropriate way to respond. If she reaches out and doesn’t address it, wouldn’t that be enabling being treated badly? But if I bring it up I’ve seen on your videos you suggest not bringing up feelings or negative convos when the ex reaches out. Being with a dismissive avoidant can be so exhausting. As exhausting perhaps as it must be to be with an anxious pre occupied I suppose. Thank you for the great videos.

    hope somebody can tell me if i have a problem myself. So I kind of "ghosted" my girl because back in March i found out she was cheating on me with a coworker. they kiss and hugged, and sex was on the table. from March to July I was constantly trying to make things work out between us. She did not apologized, i didn't feel like she regretted doing it. I communicated with her and i tried to end things a few times but she asked me to stay and I just couldn't see myself without her. Last day of July i tried to kiss her and pressed her lips against each other clearly not wanting to kiss me. My heart has been torned all these past months and i felt as if i was trying to swim against the current. So August 1 I went into "no contact," not telling her anything. We recently started talking again... is there an issue with my by not telling her i was not going to continue trying to fix things?

    She started a conversation with me. Throw the bait to see my reaction. Then she starts chatting casually about everything with me. She Just asks questions and makes you talk about myself. Gathers information about me. Then she stops communicating for no reason. She gives the impression that she is angry, arrogant and rude. After a while it was as if nothing had happened. • @Phoenix_440
      @Phoenix_440 3 года назад

      Put that energy into working on yourself. If your actions and mistakes have cost you a chance with your ex, make it worth it. Own your mistakes and put the effort into making it so that in future relationships, those same mistakes don't happen again. Whether that future relationship is with your ex, or another, nobody can say right now. But give her time and space. As Coach Craig say, feelings change, but you have to give them time. In the meantime, make sure that the person they could potentially come back to has put the work into personal growth and bettering themselves, so that if they do decide to see how you are doing, you can present them with the best possible version of yourself. If they decide not to revisit things with you, then you still get something out of the experience as you are a better person than you were at the breakup and can carry those lessons forward

    • @andrasziegenham6766
      @andrasziegenham6766 3 года назад +1

      What I would do:
      I would talk to my ex about my child and respect her as if she was a distant acquaintance, but I would never ask about her day, feelings or life in general. If she asked about my life or started telling me about hers, I would respectfully ask her to stop. If she would continue, I would ask her to respect this simple request. This is basically no contact, because you don't know what's going on eachother's lives except the child.

    I really don't think people's responses to rejection is any reason. Not everyone is the same. Giving women a pass is not acceptable. Especially when the expectations of society are on men to initiate and make a move.

    This just happened to me. Grrr Coach Craig, I wish I could afford coaching. It's more expensive because I'm in Australia and I am out of work because of COVID here. But my ex reached out after 3-months of me doing NC. I spent Easter weekend at her house. We slept in her bed, but she wouldn't be intimate. I was playful, cheeky with a couple of comments about her sexy legs and trying to put my hand on her thigh while sitting on the lounge next to her The conversation was amicable and relaxed. Now for no apparent reason, she has ignored me for a week.

    Sir.. I appreciate your videos they help a lot.... But there are some coaches on youtube who say that no contact won't work on ex back.... Just wait one week and contact them with confidence..... In their opinion, No contact doesn't work becoz the ex moved on and doesn't have any feeling for you and no contact just makes it worse and easy for them to move on, so it's better you improve yourself in 1-2 week and contact them agian.....
    What do you say coach ?

    • @Phoenix_440
      @Phoenix_440 3 года назад +1

      Any improvements that you make in a week or two are going to be trivial at best. Real change takes time, and if it is change that it needed in order to have a more secure relationship, then all you're doing is kicking that can further down the road. People with genuine feelings and attachment don't move on after a week or two, it just doesn't happen unless they are narcissistic, have other mental health issues, or genuinely didn't care in the first place. Even people who have been building up to a breakup for months beforehand will have difficulty living in the new reality unless the relationship was abusive, as up until the breakup, it was entirely conceptual. Actions need to have consequences. Besides, no contact shouldn't be 'just' for getting your ex back, but to get you back. Why would your ex want to come back to the very thing that they left in the first place?

    I ghosted 3 people last two or three weeks not because I am afraid to be vulnerable or I am avoidant. But because one person I disappointed for asking favor materially and financially(i am not a low-value woman to ask that so fast).
    Another person I ghosted because his emotions are too strong for me as healed AP(He flirt and tell his feeling on the first day of chatting with me).
    The third person is asking the same topic and I don't feel connected to his topic although I answered his question I felt boring.
