Can you do a video on how you clean your books? I have been doing a lot of use book shopping lately and I’m worried about ruining the covers of some with wipes!
Hey just to let you know, the Grulier classics is unfortunately the abridged version of those classics. They basically took these long novels and made it way shorter and easier to read for kids.
A Thousand Splendid Suns is one of my favorite books of all time. It's truly incredible and eye-opening. I have also read The Kite Runner which is still very good, but I did not love it as much as I did A Thousand Splendid Suns. While the book does deal with heavy topics, Hosseini writes in a very accessible way. I think you will love it
It got some real triggers though. I loved the writing but that one moment was written in too much detail for me (i don't wanna spoiler too much). Not a trigger because of the people involved but because of the act..
I love that the first books you look at are by Alistair MacLean and James Mitchener. Classics of modern 20th century popular fiction! The one Alistair MacLean novel you held but didn't look at was 'Fear is the Key' the first of his novels I read when I was a young teen. Many years of great reading followed. I get so excited watching these trips because of all the treasures you are able to find. Maybe I am not as eagle-eyed, but I can never seem to find books that I am interested in or looking for at that given moment. Neither in stores or libraries. My attention span is also that of a goldfish, so there's that.
Your book haul looks great!! I would recommend reading kite runner before reading thousand splendid suns but for no reason that I think it’s a great way to see his growth as an author. Also if you were curious about how to pronounce his name it’s more Haled hooseyni - it would be the easiest way to say it!

Just wanted to mention that the last book you showed looks like it was from Readers Digest and if it is, it most likely is a condensed version of the stories in it. Not sure if that matters to you but thought I’d mention it. Also - a Good Will that has their books alphabetical...nice!!! Great video!
I went to this Goodwill on Saturday and found a first edition of Jazz by Toni Morrison and a special edition of Amy Tan's The Bonesetter's Wife. Also found lots of classics.
Hi! I'm from Brazil. Here come many American books that are translated into Brazilian Portuguese. Too bad even secondhand books are getting expensive. The Brazilian Economy Minister has already stated that books are for rich people in Brazil and that is why they should be taxed. Hope things get better. All the best there, Morgan!
That looks like a book store near where I live... if you’re in California there’s another thrift shop I go to that usually always has hardcover Stephan king books
I loveeeee books and love the goodwill for books… except I’ve noticed their book section has been getting smaller & smaller at my local one. I asked employees and they don’t seem to know. Looked online and realized goodwill is selling them online and has a whole website selling their books at $8,$10, $20 even saw $40+ ones. 😱 so sad! Glad I stocked up this year.
Does the Goodwill have a specific category name since it sells only books? I know some Goodwill Outlet and the clothes are sold by the pound, but I haven't found any for just books around me!

A Thousand Splendid Suns was the first book I read by him and I loved it so much. The Kite Runner was really good too, I read that book second.

I use organic cleaning spray and a microfiber cloth or paper towel!

they do cost money but usually very cheap! my thrift stores usually have hardcover books at 1-2 dollars and paperbacks at 50 cents :)
