Thanks to Mavercade for the review copy! The controller drops today, so if you want one, here's the link: mavercade.com/en-us/products/mavercade-keebbrawler-02mx
Oh this is gorgeous. I'm eagerly awaiting my Keebbrawler-04mx rev2 that I ordered 10 days ago. I know it's going to be stunning. Really looking forward to it.
The wide space bar has always appealed to me. Im not that much a fan of the w,a,s,d type setup but i have plenty of friends that are hence it's good to see this type of layout for the left side of the box still being popular.
@@HushMySweet1 It's actually just a handful of friends that use the mixbox cause they're too stubborn to move on from the w,a,s,d type keyboard layout. I know!...they will love this cos they always complain about not having extra buttons....hell they don't even have a spacebar on their layout. I think having extra button choice is the future in terms of consumer demand & might slowly kill the sales of standard layouts on boxes that offer less buttons.
lol, nice! I had that image in my folders for this vid, but couldn't remember where I got it, or what my original intention had been in the way of using it. Anyway, glad it gave a smile. Thanks for watching!
Yeah, that wide, shift-sized up cap was a really cool element that I don't think I have seen before! I always like the wild swings Mavercade takes with some of their button shapes and layouts. Thanks for watching, dude!
That layout looks beautiful! And it uses full-sized switches, with the stabs for the spacebar? I'm really tempted to save up for one even though I assembled a DIY Hing3dbox just a handful of months ago; I wish I commissioned a layout like this haha. Great review as always, Hush!
It does really resemble and OpenFrame, but that one is a Rectangle Corner Cross Cut. That vid should release mid-September, so stay tuned. Thanks for watching!
@@HushMySweet1 Wow, somehow never heard of this thing before. Based on the credits on their product page it seems to be an Open-Frame1 fork. They thank both the HayBox and GP2040-CE people so I'm really curious which firmware it runs, or if it's some custom thing. I would love to ditch HayBox for GP2040-CE if it could support all the analog angle stuff. I sorely miss the webcfg and easy SOCD changing shortcuts and such when using my OF1, and GP2040-CE gets updates way faster. edit: Found the firmware on GitHub, RectangleCorner/Haybox-RCFW So, based on HayBox. Also they've removed the Rivals of Aether mode for some reason. 🤔
Well, it was my understanding that they will bring them back out hopefully soon(ish) here again, so you can order the art when it's back up and going. Thanks for watching!
That's unfortunate. I hope to showcase some more European options in the future, so hopefully we can find something awesome in your neck of the woods. Thank you for watching!
@@HushMySweet1 Just today I checked back and it was "back in stock" but what I realized from the picture that it wasn't that revision 2 was out of stock, the "02MXR" was the "reverse" which swaps left and right. "Rev2" had been in stock the entire time...placed my order just an hour ago for one of these and can't wait. I'm getting mine for Tekken 8 though.
Omg. A device that has buttons that mimic the the binds I would use on kb. Keyboard is my preferred way to play, however when I want a dedicated controller, I need to make concessions on what layout. I want WASD, I want a spacebar for my dash macro, I want a shift key for a throw macro, I want 8 buttons. it would be perfect if it had 2/3 extra buttons on the bottom of the left side I can tap with my thumb because I personally don't like having too many things bound to my right hand, but this is close enough!!!
Yeah, this really feels like it speaks to most of your wanted list. Truly a controller for you, I'd say. If you end up getting it, you'll have to let us know what you think after you've had some time on it. Thanks for watching!
Don't waste money on this, you can get a good cheap haute board plus usb ps5 adapter and be able to play any game in any tournament + have the best keys. For half of this price.
That's such an out-of-pocket comment, gabe. I love most Haute42 stuff, but there are nuances to each device. What does "best keys" even mean? This one can accommodate full-size switches which most Haute42 wares do not. Some people like bigger footprints. Some people like keyboard-esque controls. Some people like heavier controllers. This device has those things, so it serves a market. Just because your particular controller priorities don't align with it, doesn't mean it's not a great option for some people. Or would you not agree?

I can tell you first hand that it's amazing!

Yeah, I also really liked that space bar / split layout element. What do your friends use? Mixboxes? Thanks for watching, dude!

@2:21 bro showed off my twitch stream leverless overlay lmaooo, that threw me off guard

This looks awesome! Love the artwork
Thank you! Appreciate that! (hugs_n_giggles did the art, and then the holo print really kicks things up a notch too)
This thing T H I C C; I'm also a fan of the 2u cap for up on the WASD cluster. Big fan of nylon for the caps as well!

Yeah, the spacebar feels great. Thanks for the nice comment, Lendin!
I had no idea that you had the CrossCut! (2:59) When do you think that review will come out as well?
Oh you know me, lol, gotta try every controller. That vid will be coming likely mid-September so stay tuned. Thanks for watching!
was that an LCD in your OpenFrame1(?)? Is there a video on that? Looked sick
The Keebrawler is cool tho

So, based on HayBox. Also they've removed the Rivals of Aether mode for some reason. 🤔
we have really gone full circle 😂
That's probably a fair assessment for this controller, lol! Thank you for watching and commenting!
dang, the new stabilizers look great
That they do! Thanks for watching, dude!
Sucks that they aren't printing the holographic art. But over all this will be my next mavercade product! 🙂

It's a shame their shipping to Europe is so expensive. The cost is about the same as a Keebbrawler itself.
That's unfortunate. I hope to showcase some more European options in the future, so hopefully we can find something awesome in your neck of the woods. Thank you for watching!
Already sold out? Weird. How many units were even made?
They are stocked when I visit the site. Try it again to see. (And thanks for watching!) mavercade.com/en-us/products/mavercade-keebbrawler-02mx
