I loved the sim city series, it was probably the first series i got into for gaming. What EA did with that game was so bad that when they abandoned it they gave everyone who bought it a free game. The bit your showcasing now is my biggest problem with going back. Megatowers are great until you get a problem on your 4th floor and it empties to never refil. At 21:27 i can see by the unhappy faces your about to experience this bug. Loved the game tho just wish it was made by someone else.
man, this explanation is AWESOME, love it. And i cant take my eyes of your road laying, thats so cool man, bet there's no traffic, and it's profitable, i mean i hardly made any city profitable by hourly not investment except im doing casinos,. Anw, great content man!
using megatowers scares me. the city can go wrong real quick. i don’t know what i did wrong but once i start using megatowers my city is always on negative income. and the traffic it generates are massive.
I completely understand. Megatowers are a challenge. Next time you use one just do low wealth apartments with a park level in the middle. Surround the tower with shopping, parks and gambling. See if that helps
You touched on something interesting in this video. One thing to point out is how some buildings can increase the wealth level in concert with other buildings. I noticed when you placed a high wealth park near the elite megatower the wealth level upgraded. One more point is gambling. Gambling is very relative to tourism. I like to use Gambling casinos just for the lodging. I f I can get my tourist to stay in my city a good 48 hours my tourist rating goes up which means more money. Try to get them to enter city to get the main attraction and when they try to have Hotels or Casino hotels near the city entrance. This way they will stay overnight and the next day they will spend more money than leave. This strategy was presented to me in the Sim City 2013 written guide. It does work. The same strategy will also augment your tourism crowns as well.
I just had a huge facepalm moment. 8:22 I never knew that panel existed until just now and it likely would of saved so much pain and struggle with failed attempts commonly caused by improper tower use.
For the drones you make them also... When you buy those upscale police station fire and medical the drones are limited when they break you will need to replace them
That's what is interesting about Megatowers. There are so many stacking options. Using mostly apartments is what works best for me. You're right about malls. I don't use them much. Can't keep them full of shoppers. What's stack do you use?
@@leonarddavis8732 i do like, if we are talking about low-medium towers a try to put a office anywhere, then some parks to increase attraction, as same for medium-high towers, i priorize office and connect them to skybridges, so they can go work or use parks from other towers, (except malls, they appear to be allergic or something), and thanks for the road tip it boosted a bit my towers when i connected the 3 sides
@@leonarddavis8732 oh, for office just put a few, not to many, and conect the towers, also improving transport, just check that you dont have too many jobs available or the sims might feel overworked

Yes. The Simcity franchise was was my first. I started with Simcity 3000. I agree with you about Megatowers.

You must connect the towers so the sims don't drive they use skybridge
Ahh I was JUST looking for a video like this!! Thank you!!
You're welcome. Hope it helps. Let me know if there is another topic you'd like me to cover.

Great point. I discuss that in my tourism tutorial.
Many service buildings impact land value. Great observation.
Thanks, repurchased this and having a blast with these towers.
Great to hear!

How did you make that awesome bridges?
You can raise and lower roads to make bridges and tunnels.
@@leonarddavis8732 how?
@@alexxx5749 on keyboard use the N key to lower the road you're placing and the M key to raise that roadway.
How do you place a high wealth mall or apt in elite tower as a base level? The game only offers me a mid wealth as base levels
You have to delete the first level.
For the drones you make them also... When you buy those upscale police station fire and medical the drones are limited when they break you will need to replace them
Yes. Drones are made at the Omega drone factory. They leave there and go to fire/police/hospital and are transformed.
I have issue with the elite and the dam electricity 🤦🏽♀️ you have a video on laying them down and activating them to actually work 😂
lol. Are you talking about electricity level of a mega tower?
ive experimented you dont need to only to apartments, the only trouble i have its with malls, i never seem to fill any of them

My office levels can be just as difficult as mall. Maybe I will try your layout with a future Megatower.
Great feedback.

Okay. I'll give it a try.
Do you do still put community colleges in an acadamy city?
Yes
