There's nothing confusing about them not spoiling the Flash movie and not ruining the box office potential of Aquaman 2. It's a soft reboot after Flashpoint and most likely Aquaman and Wonder Woman are probably outta there. They just can't say that without spoiling Flashpoint and making Aquaman 2 seem pointless. Sorry Kristian, but racebending characters is a trash idea... Cinema is a visual medium, welcome to reality, the actor's race is important. I know a lot of artards like to minimize white culture but white culture is important and nothing to minimize. If Damian Wayne is white in the comics, he has to be white in the movie. Being realistic doesnt make anyone a bigot, grow tf up. Race is important, and if it wasnt important, say the n-word. If u cant, u know Im right, race and looks matter. Cheers
I've said this before but I just really appreciate the even keel, level-headed nature of the conversation on this show. All sides of the discussion looked at and discussed. One of the best hours on the DC slate I've seen. Cheers and Thanks.
I’ve been looking forward to this episode since the announcement! Really great episode! Now I can’t imagine anyone else being Booster Gold other than Billy Magnussen, that’s great casting right there!
I seriously think “keeping the door open” means we have to sell these upcoming movies and wait until they have come and gone before cutting it all off.
I’m all in on a full reboot. No cavill but keeping Ezra, gal, and momoa makes absolutely zero sense. When your universe’s Batman and Superman actors are out, how can you keep the others?
The Supergirl choice you brought up, Isabel May was actually cast as one of the Wonder Twins in the HBO Max movie that got shelved after the merger. They were months from shooting it
There is so much coming out from DC its A LOT. I wished ya'll did a 3 hour episode today but thats insane. Looking forward to next week with new developments being released.
The fact that they’re not going with the obvious choices, and they’re instead going with some more obscure characters, tells me their focus is on telling good stories. Which makes me optimistic.
This episode had me rolling thank you Coy. I always love the energy on this show and is my favorite then sith council. Thank all of you for the community and entertainment.
Even though Waller & Creature Commandos were announced apart of Gods & Monsters, I don’t think they actually contribute to the rebooted DCU. I think they act as buffer zone, wrapping up old universes. I don’t think the universe truly kicks off until Superman.
Totally agree, Waller was announced before he got his job as head of dc and we all ready knew about an untitled show he was writing before he was promoted as well. I bet both shows come out in 2024, then I. 2025 we get a full reset. And booster gold takes the place of a peacemaker series. Just my thoughts.
He’s confirmed that creatures and Waller are apart of Gods and monsters, to the point where we’re getting a character from creatures who will also be apart of Waller. They announced Waller prior, but the show hasn’t been made yet like green lantern so it’ll fit in
I think the main issue for me is the amount of television shows that are being made to start out the plan - they are asking a lot of the casual audience to keep up with all of these shows to get invested in the universe and story. Marvel only started introducing shows once they were 12 years into their story - so the general audience had that trust and were on board already. It was easy to follow for such a long time with it being 2/3 movies a year. I feel like DC has a lot of mending to do with the general audience who have been turned off from them, and i’m not sure a lot of them are going to give these TV shows their time and attention - the general moviegoing audience doesn’t want homework assignments or to devote 8-10 hours of their time just to understand a new movie.
The upcoming Flash movie may make history for the most reshoots in a comic book movie. They finished that film so long ago but have had to keep filming new material and then deleting things. And i’m guessing even more stuff was inserting and or removed since Gunn joined DC.
I’m worried about Blue Beetle, he’s the least known of the existing heroes and his movie comes before the reset. I hope that if people don’t show up for that movie that the studio can give the character another shot down the line bc I’ve been a fan for a long time
Maybe Aquaman 2 takes place at the same time as The Flash similar to how Ant-man 2 took place at the same time as Infinity War. Aquaman 2 may have a post-credit scene referencing what happened at the end of The Flash. Maybe Blue Beetle and Aquaman 2 should flip release dates.
I'm cautiously optimistic for this slate!! I wish Cavil was some way involved and hopefully he will be in the future. This was a good discussion good episode!
Making Swamp Thing at that price would almost certainly be impossible. Doing it with practical effects might even make it cost more money because that requires more on-set hours and that can add up quickly. No way they could make it for under 100 million. The budget for Logan is listed at $97-127 million.
Great show gentlemen! Yall had me dying today I was so tempted to draw coys hide the batpole rant ha ha ha. Love the show and keep bring inf the news and entertainment at the level your doing!
I don't expect to see the Dick Grayson Batman, but I enjoyed that dynamic more than Batman and son. A smiling, swashbuckling Batman paired with a resentful Robin whose first instinct is to hit things.
I'm super exited for this new slate, one big reason is exactly what you guys said they are being adapted from the comics and have source material they are directly pulling from to create these stories. Plus having those writers like Tom King writing the movie or in the room as a consultant to the story is genius and I don't know why more people haven't done this. I also think what he's done right out the gate, which is very smart is establishing that the DCU can cover any type of movie/tv show to avoid the "every movie is the same" critique.
Great show, guys. Love the chemistry between the three of you. I'm so interested in seeing who will be writing and directing all these movies. If Mangold is the calibre of directors they're gonna get, then that bodes well. Will they go for the really big guns? Spielberg for Superman? Drew Goddard is in the room, so he'll definitely write and direct one of them, which is great. I'll throw out a name for director of Supergirl: Woman Of Tomorrow... Bryce Dallas Howard, Kristian?
You said it yourself - "the first one made a billion dollars, don't say the guy's not coming back again." So what's confusing? You just want answers that would be silly for them to give us. Like possibly losing millions of dollars silly.
I am excited about this! I love it. My only minor complaint is the Batman thing, Damian Wayne is my least favorite Robin. I was waiting for this to be the time that everything starts from scratch with Dick Grayson, and we get to see him go from Robin to Nightwing. I don't think we'll ever see that in movies... We're probably gonna see those characters forming the Bat-Family, but I would have preferred to spend the next few years watching the development of them.
Same here. I've never liked Damian and I've tried. Gonna read some more recent comics to see if he'll grow on me. I want to see my boy Tim Drake and I'm hoping they don't skip him like the new animated movies have done
Great episode guys. Was so excited and curious to hear ur thoughts and was not disappointed. As always, ur chemistry is on point. I'm happy about this slate and it's an interesting mix of material. Anything comic im gonna support regardless of which company. As long as it's good, lol. Cheers
Henry doesn't have a movie coming out, Aquaman, The Flash and Shazam all do. So it makes more sense to say those projects may still continue in the future
Unfortunately, she's older than the actor they'll probably be looking at for Superman and Supergirl within the story they're adapting is turning 21 as a plot point
So I'm all for this new slate. It looks diverse and pretty cool. But I hate the fence sitting Gunn is doing with "keeping the door open". Everyone is saying that he just can't say that Momoa and Miller are out because of the new movies, but that's speculation. I won't believe that they're truly out until Gunn says without any vagueness, that they're out.
I think the reason they're saying the door is still open is because all the studios saw what Spider-Man No Way Home did and they'd all love to replicate it at some point down the line.
Good call on Glenn Powell as booster Gold he’s got a ship so there’s flying and He’s literally just a perfect cast of the character when I think comic to movie translation.
20:09 preacccccccchhhhhhhhhhhh!!!church!! 👏👏👏 Clip this bro ,that point you made is so important 🥺😭😭 Lock in with the people that made these characters to truly understand and respect them .. with social media theres no excuse 🤦🏿♂️
Another great episode. I love the commentary on casting choices. I think it is important to choose the best actor/actress for each role regardless of race. No matter what people think of marvel movies, for the most part I think they do well on casting for all their characters.
I defy anyone to watch the video that went viral of Andy Muschietti telling Sasha Calle that she got the role of Supergirl for his flash movie, and not want that to happen!!! She deserves to continue as Supergirl for the DCU. If she's recast, I'll be really upset.
I am excited. I love that they have a conclusion to DCEU rather than just cancel everything. I am excited for 2025. It's going to be an interesting 2.5 years.
I think Coy and Winston may be taking things too literally in regards to the comic book James Gunn posted on his Twitter and during the announcement. I think the comics Gunn talked about just capture the overall tone, feeling, and essence he wants to bring to those characters vs. it being a panel by panel adaptation of them.
As far as Henry Cavill being hard to work with I think anytime an actor or director or anyone in in a workplace. Stands up for what they want or what they believe or what they think should be the outcome of a project they are labeled hard to work with especially if there are women or they're pretty like Henry Cavill is.
I have faith. Obviously it would’ve been cool if Cavill was back, but I love these characters more than I love the actors who play them. As long as they do these characters Justice, I’ll be happy.
James Gunn signed a 4-year deal with DC by the way, which goes into effect in May 2023 after Guardians 3 comes out. So May 2023 to May 2027. Just to confirm. Just googled it.
I'm guessing that Damian Wayne will be no older than 14 and probably 13, at least story wise. I really think "The Brave and the Bold" is gonna be their greatest challenge. The Bat-family can be pulled off in animation easily, but live action is a totally different beast. You have to have some serious guts and confidence to go for that.
I’m so psyched to hear you may be coming to NYC on June 23rd!!! Do you have any idea when you may be able to confirm the date for sure and how we should go about buying tix once you do? Great show today, you really helped me understand all the new DC news :-)
I'm so glad Gunn didn't reveal how everything connects or who the big bad is like some are demanding. So when we watch the content and a name is dropped or a character shows up it's a surprise.
Personally I don't even think there would be an elseworld branch of these movies if the batman and joker weren't as well received as they were but there is so much support behind those movies that it would be dumb to not continue those stories
Some more clarification is needed for sure but Coy said it perfectly: You have to sell the 2023 movies. There's a different vibe when telling fans, this movie coming up doesn't matter anymore. It's an incredibly difficult position to finish off the previous saga while starting your own story-telling.
Zaslof handled Batgirl the right way. If he had come out and said they made a big pile of dog crap, that would’ve damage the people who made the movie as much as if the movie came out. He took the heat on himself like a leader should.
The main concern for me and many other fans is the fact that we are seemingly getting an older Batman in his early 40s (41, 42, 43) and a Superman said to be in his mid 20s (24, 25, 26). The age difference in this situation is not very appealing when the two are supposed to be peers even though Batman has always seemed older. So, I propose a Batman timeline so that we can get the experienced Batman that has gone through Robins to have his son as a 3rd or a 4th (Depending on Tim's inclusion), and is young enough to be a part of a 10 year plan as a man in his prime. Specifically, early to mid 30s (31 - 36). Here is my proposed timeline; Bruce Wayne is 8 years old when Thomas and Martha Wayne are killed. Ex - British Soldier/Spy Alfred Pennyworth becomes Bruce's legal guardian. This is when Bruce's training begins in truth. Training Arc I: Alfred begins Bruce's training in order to give the boy an outlet and the means to protect himself while he continues his school education. Training Year One - Bruce is 8/9 Training Year Two - Bruce is 9/10 Training Year Three - Bruce is 10/11 Training Year Four - Bruce is 11/12 Training Year Five - Bruce is 12/13 Training Arc II: Alfred and Bruce travel the world in order to take a brake from Gotham. Bruce continues his education and training while gaining additional Mentors when Alfred has to leave for Gotham periodically to tend to the Wayne Manor and Wayne Enterprises. Training Year Six - Bruce is 13/14 Training Year Seven - Bruce is 14/15 Training Year Eight - Bruce is 15/16 Training Year Nine - Bruce is 16/17 Training Year Ten - Bruce is 17/18 Training Arc III: Bruce becomes an adult and parts from Alfred, the latter returning to Gotham. He gets a Collage degree, gains more mentors, and runs into Ra's, Talia, and The League of Shadows/Assassins. Training Year Eleven - Bruce is 18/19 Training Year Twelve - Bruce is 19/20 Training Year Thirteen - Bruce is 20/21 (He takes a gap year. This is when he runs into Talia specifically and begins his affair with her, siring Damian). Training Year Fourteen - Bruce is 21/22 Training Year Fifteen - Bruce is 22/23 End of the Training Arcs. Bruce returns to Gotham. He trains for 15 YEARS and has been gone from Gotham for 10 YEARS. Batman Year One - Bruce is 23/24 Batman Year Two - Bruce is 24/25. Dick Grayson becomes the 1st Robin at 13/14. Batman Year Seven - Bruce is 29/30. Dick is fired and becomes Nightwing at 18/19. Jason Todd is taken in to become the 2nd Robin at 13/14. Batman Year Nine - Bruce is 31/32. Jason is killed by the Joker at 15/16. Tim Drake is taken in to become the 3rd Robin at 13/14. Batman Year Eleven - Bruce is 33/34. Tim is 15/16. Talia brings Damian to meet his father at 13/14. Batman Year Eleven is where the Brave and the Bold should take place. We have a Batman who has trained for 15 YEARS, 10 of it which he spends away from Gotham, and has an 11 YEARS worth of experience as Batman under his belt. He sires Damian during his solo travels as a 20 something year old. All of the Robins take on the mantle at 13/14 which I think is the most reasonable minimum age for a live action Robin. Dick would have been Robin for the longest out of everyone (Which it is how it should be) and has been Nightwing for sometime at this point. You can Include Barbara as Batgirl and her transition to Oracle in anyway you like using this template. Jason was killed at 15/16 and is resurrected a couple months later at the same age range which puts him at 17/18 during Brave and the Bold. This gives him enough time to grow and come back as the Red Hood down the line. Also, I think that Superman should be in his late 20s (27, 28, 29) as well. And before people think that this is too old for the planned Superman, I urge them to remember the fact that their beloved Henry Cavill portrayed the Man of Steel in an origin movie where he hadn't even began his career in the Daily Planet at the age of 28. So the ages 27, 28, or 29 for a Superman who isn't having an origin and has been a reporter for a little while and is considered young would be no issue at all. A Superman who is 28/29 to a Batman who is 33/34 is absolutely perfect. And to those who think these ages might not work, remember that Chris Evans was 29 when he played Captain America for the first time and RDJ was 42 when he played Iron Man for the first time. They played their characters throughout a 10 year plan as well and I think nobody is complaining about the results. Anyway, if you have come this far, thanks I guess 😂😅
We’re not getting a Batman that is that old. You guys are making the wrong assumption. Bruce doesn’t have to be that old. Guaranteed he will be no older than late 30’s but I’m guessing only 35. They just want Bruce to be in his prime and not a kid Batman like Pattinson but not an old man like Affleck either
@@revealingtruth3329 33-35 is perfect in my opinion. The only thing is, his age difference with Superman should not be to the point that Batman seems like his mentor rather than his friend. Other than that, the discussed ages would be perfect 😁
@@revealingtruth3329 To be fair, Anakin and Obi wan have an age gap of 15 years by the beginning of ROTS Anakin is 22 - Obi Wan is 37) and their brotherly dynamic is superp. So hey, I guess it all depends on the execution. The only thing is, If certain characters are too old, a 10 year run will be a problem. This is the main thing that should be taken into account
Mangold could do the brave and the bold, an older weathered superhero trying to raise a child assassin who was made to be a lethal killing machine. The old hero has to restrain the child from their lethal nature, huh that sounds like something Mangold has already done.
I haven’t read the Supergirl comic being referenced, but every image I’ve seen Supergirl looks like old school She-Ra - she has a sword and even rides a horse?? Sounds pretty cool to me
Henry Cavill did not shave the mustache for reshoots on Justice League. Perhaps that was something that could be deemed 'difficult to work with' by the unverified source. I'm sure James Gunn would have liked to start with a clean slate rather than having 2-3 movies produced out of his control to still put out, so as a fan I also have to wait for these 'old regime' movies to play out and then see how the rest of the universe forms up.
They also announced 2 movies and 2 shows per year……. I feel like we’ve been dreaming for YEARS about them using the actual source material and using people that understand the material. It’s a good business decision and great for the fans…….
It would be awesome if the guy who played Jonathan Kent in Superman & Lois was cast as the younger Superman. He was great, and he’s dropped out of season three for “personal reasons”.
In regards to Henry Cavill, man born to be Superman and not easy to replace ... i know someone that worked on a film set with him and said he is the nicest and most professional guy, this was years ago but still...There are many youtubers, one sounds like Race Mandolph that says Henry was never asked to come back he decided he was back, gone the wrong end of the stick, jumped the gun when nobody asked him to..this continues to make no sense to me..Cavill is not an idiot or delusional. I still dont know how he was treated this way but some executives told him he was back and then he wasnt..It is not James Gunn or Saffran fault but being told u have a job, given permission to tell everyone and then you dont, Gunn is wrong, he was fired from the role...
I’m excited for the DC slate. The announcements of these new series and movies has also piqued my interest to read the comics the series/movies are inspired by.
@@TheKristianHarloff “We’re not going to launch a movie until it’s ready,” Zaslav said on a a quarterly earnings call late Thursday. “We’re not going to launch a movie to make a quarter and we’re not going to put a movie out unless we believe in it.” and "we are going to focus on quality. We are not going to release any film before it’s ready. … DC is something we can make better.” Facts. But the tax break made it easier to hate than the rest of the facts.
How about Chloe Grace Moretz as Supergirl, she has a lot of acting experience and experience with the action when she was younger and people are always doin mock ups of her as Supergirl...Brave and Bold..Batman: Jake Gylenhaal, Robin: kid from Euphoria, Devon something, great little actor, Ben Affleck Directing...just my fancasting...
Hey Guys, luv the show, for me its bittersweet cause yes some of the DCEU is crap and its messy and with DC on CW that needs to change but even though all these new projects in the new DCU sounds cool(well some do) i will miss the DCEU...By the way i have read, i cant remember exactly but maybe Saffran was quoted saying they will release 2 movies a year and 2 shows and although maybe ur right Kristian, they have 5 movies here and with Batman Part 2 and Superman releasing in 2025 that means they will release two in 2026 which will be if the slate they gave us is in order The Authority and Brave and The Bold 2026 and Supergirl and Swamp Things 2027...I also dont think they will release Camandos and Waller in 2024 as the have Penguin being released in 2024 HBoMax and 3 seems like a lot of shows, they will also want to balance out the shows and movies..
Some interesting ideas for sure but a little lackluster without any actors or directors at all announced? Think the reveal should've had a little more flair imo. Reports say Mangold is in talks for Swamp Thing maybe they shoulda locked down some talent first. Also not a complete reboot sounds a little messy. Why did Gunn promise January why not take more time to get it right? lol
I think this shows they are working towards something at least. And now when the announcements for actors and directors do come, they are matched with the projects we know about already.

It is a shame that we won't be getting a proper live action dick grayson robin on the big screen
Harloff you gotta do a uk tour man would love to meet you and the rest of the crew
Great episode guys. Was so excited and curious to hear ur thoughts and was not disappointed. As always, ur chemistry is on point. I'm happy about this slate and it's an interesting mix of material. Anything comic im gonna support regardless of which company. As long as it's good, lol.
Cheers
Thanks again!
Henry doesn't have a movie coming out, Aquaman, The Flash and Shazam all do. So it makes more sense to say those projects may still continue in the future
Swamp Thing vol 1 by Alan Moore is my favorite graphic novel ever. Ever
I'm with Coy; DC/Warner doing more for comic sales boosts than others have in years is very much chefs kiss right now.
Yup
If the slate goes well, I’m sure they’ll bring everyone back in a Crisis on Infinite Earths level event
some have being saying that, i hope
Samara Weaving for Supergirl. She’d be perfect for this version of the character. I’ll die on this hill.
Better than Isabel May for sure
Unfortunately, she's older than the actor they'll probably be looking at for Superman and Supergirl within the story they're adapting is turning 21 as a plot point
As long as Ezra isn’t in the new DCU, I’ll be happy.
I think Dan Trachtenberg would be a great pick for directing Swamp Thing
So I'm all for this new slate. It looks diverse and pretty cool. But I hate the fence sitting Gunn is doing with "keeping the door open". Everyone is saying that he just can't say that Momoa and Miller are out because of the new movies, but that's speculation. I won't believe that they're truly out until Gunn says without any vagueness, that they're out.
The Supergirl book they are adapting is more of an adaptation of True Grit than anything else with Supergirl as Rooster Cogburn
It’s basically Rooster Cogburn fighting very evil space pirates.
And the book is friggin phenomenal so the movie will hopefully be phenomenal too.
We shall see who they get! I really like Coy's choice!
An actress to consider too to play the new Supergirl... MILLY ALCOCK 💯💯💯
After reading all James Gunn's statements it's been confirmed he is keeping some actors around from the old timeline. They will be variants.
Love y’all guys are back ❤❤❤❤
20:09 preacccccccchhhhhhhhhhhh!!!church!! 👏👏👏
Clip this bro ,that point you made is so important 🥺😭😭
Lock in with the people that made these characters to truly understand and respect them .. with social media theres no excuse 🤦🏿♂️
I hope Batman and Damian Wayne fight man-bats on Gibraltar like they did when Damian was first introduced in the comics.
I really hope Affleck directs brave and the bold. That would be so cool
agreed..Jake Gylenhaal as Batman
@@garydodd2837 this is my highest hope lol
I am excited. I love that they have a conclusion to DCEU rather than just cancel everything. I am excited for 2025. It's going to be an interesting 2.5 years.
I think Coy and Winston may be taking things too literally in regards to the comic book James Gunn posted on his Twitter and during the announcement. I think the comics Gunn talked about just capture the overall tone, feeling, and essence he wants to bring to those characters vs. it being a panel by panel adaptation of them.
Billy Magnussen is perfect casting as Booster Gold!!!
PLAYING HIDE THE BAT-POLE!
Heres the thing Aquaman 2 and the first Aquaman makes sense being part of the new canon because it never really connected to the old.movies anyway
Number 5 from Umbrella Academy as Damien W mmmmmmmmm hold on! Coy really spittin today
Haha
This fool said TRIPOD! Im dead! 😂🤣
Aquaman was set to come before Flash. They move it to December because of the box office oportunity this year there.
I’m so psyched to hear you may be coming to NYC on June 23rd!!! Do you have any idea when you may be able to confirm the date for sure and how we should go about buying tix once you do? Great show today, you really helped me understand all the new DC news :-)
I have to confirm with the club.
I really like the intro animation.
Love the Darkseid is shirt.
Great show as always, guys.
Glad you enjoyed it
The main concern for me and many other fans is the fact that we are seemingly getting an older Batman in his early 40s (41, 42, 43) and a Superman said to be in his mid 20s (24, 25, 26). The age difference in this situation is not very appealing when the two are supposed to be peers even though Batman has always seemed older.
So, I propose a Batman timeline so that we can get the experienced Batman that has gone through Robins to have his son as a 3rd or a 4th (Depending on Tim's inclusion), and is young enough to be a part of a 10 year plan as a man in his prime. Specifically, early to mid 30s (31 - 36). Here is my proposed timeline;
Bruce Wayne is 8 years old when Thomas and Martha Wayne are killed.
Ex - British Soldier/Spy Alfred Pennyworth becomes Bruce's legal guardian. This is when Bruce's training begins in truth.
Training Arc I: Alfred begins Bruce's training in order to give the boy an outlet and the means to protect himself while he continues his school education.
Training Year One - Bruce is 8/9
Training Year Two - Bruce is 9/10
Training Year Three - Bruce is 10/11
Training Year Four - Bruce is 11/12
Training Year Five - Bruce is 12/13
Training Arc II: Alfred and Bruce travel the world in order to take a brake from Gotham. Bruce continues his education and training while gaining additional Mentors when Alfred has to leave for Gotham periodically to tend to the Wayne Manor and Wayne Enterprises.
Training Year Six - Bruce is 13/14
Training Year Seven - Bruce is 14/15
Training Year Eight - Bruce is 15/16
Training Year Nine - Bruce is 16/17
Training Year Ten - Bruce is 17/18
Training Arc III: Bruce becomes an adult and parts from Alfred, the latter returning to Gotham. He gets a Collage degree, gains more mentors, and runs into Ra's, Talia, and The League of Shadows/Assassins.
Training Year Eleven - Bruce is 18/19
Training Year Twelve - Bruce is 19/20
Training Year Thirteen - Bruce is 20/21 (He takes a gap year. This is when he runs into Talia specifically and begins his affair with her, siring Damian).
Training Year Fourteen - Bruce is 21/22
Training Year Fifteen - Bruce is 22/23
End of the Training Arcs. Bruce returns to Gotham. He trains for 15 YEARS and has been gone from Gotham for 10 YEARS.
Batman Year One - Bruce is 23/24
Batman Year Two - Bruce is 24/25.
James Gunn said that Batman might only be a couple years older than Superman.
@@antoniobudelecan6077 I remember he said he MIGHT be. Anyway, that's what I want anyway 😂
You guys should come to the Bay Area and have a live event!
Pedro Pascal as Bat-Dad, haha, lone wolf and cub across all franchises
Sasha Calle is not playing Kara's Supergirl. Her version is another Supergirl (non white) . I can't remember her name.
Samara Weaving for Supergirl!
Hmmm
So according to Borys Kit of The Hollywood Reporter both Gunn and Safran's deals are for four years. Basically until Nov 2026
They also announced 2 movies and 2 shows per year…….
I feel like we’ve been dreaming for YEARS about them using the actual source material and using people that understand the material. It’s a good business decision and great for the fans…….
FYI, Safran and Gunn’s contract is for 4 years, effective November 1st 2022.
Copy that!
It would be awesome if the guy who played Jonathan Kent in Superman & Lois was cast as the younger Superman. He was great, and he’s dropped out of season three for “personal reasons”.
Interesting fact, thank you!
In regards to Henry Cavill, man born to be Superman and not easy to replace
... i know someone that worked on a film set with him and said he is the nicest and most professional guy, this was years ago but still...There are many youtubers, one sounds like Race Mandolph that says Henry was never asked to come back he decided he was back, gone the wrong end of the stick, jumped the gun when nobody asked him to..this continues to make no sense to me..Cavill is not an idiot or delusional. I still dont know how he was treated this way but some executives told him he was back and then he wasnt..It is not James Gunn or Saffran fault but being told u have a job, given permission to tell everyone and then you dont, Gunn is wrong, he was fired from the role...
I have no idea how they can make a classic superman exist in the same world as the authority.
Give Swamp Thing or Constantine to Mike Flanagan. If story is the most important thing he'll crack it.
We shall see how it will go!
I’m excited for the DC slate. The announcements of these new series and movies has also piqued my interest to read the comics the series/movies are inspired by.
Zaslav DID say Bat-Girl was a bad movie. But the tax break was just a louder headline in the media.
Hmmm
Hear me out… Robert Eggers for The Swamp Thing
Fuckin LOVE that. If it doesn’t go to Mangold that’s a dope pick
@@CoyJandreau omg Coy replied to ME!! And thank you 🙌🏽❤️
Great job muchachos
All y’all are wrong, Safran and Gunn’s contracts are for 4 years.
Really like these people and there insight.
Thank you Roger!
Gunn has a FOUR year deal.
