I stand up surf and bodyboard, both are awesome, I think some guys still have hang ups with bodyboarders but usually those guys are the 'all the gear no idea" types who spend all the money to attain an image and have no fun because their skills don't match their tiny performance boards. I love bodyboarding, maybe more than regular surfing, as long as I'm having fun I don't give a shit
This reminds me of sledding down a hill in the snow when you're going soo fast that you literally skip across it like a rag doll, im so down to try this just give me a giant wave!!

NEWSFLASH! body boarding is 'not' surfing! im not saying that the big wave body boarders dont have guts to ride these monsters, but belly boarding isnt anywhere near as skilled as surfing so you cant put the 2 in the same category, so i agree they should have separate big wave contests for both evens. its the same as in the olympics and paraolympics! (cripples v able bodies) lol.
@Pigroota Have you ever taken into consideration that maybe Bodyboarders like Bodyboarding? maybe that they would rather get Huge sucky barrels rather then Jaws etc. and bodyboarders surf thoes spots aswell.

let me tell that surfboards go faster, i bodyboard , ive been national champ once when i was 15 and sub champ 17 now, surfers can make the biggest and largest waves, u dont get enough speed in BB to make them

Anyone who has some kind of petty rivalry between the two needs to re-evalute there hobby, it's about the love of waves not been at each others throats. Seriously pisses me off.

I honestly find it more unnerving to be laying down on a wave like that as opposed to standing up.
