The amount of talent she have, what ever fantasy stuff she likes unlike us she has the ability to make it possible. One more thing why is this channel soooo underrated?
If you want perfect lines for oxidising brass you should etch the brass first, but don't use tape as a mask because as you've seen you can get "creep" under the edges no matter how hard you try to seal them. The best way to get super crisp lines is either cheap nail varnish, thinned down a bit and applied by brush (as it dries quicker than paint or varnish) or a latex masking product, one brand of which is called "Maskol" It's latex rubber that can be applied by brush. After application, use a scalpel to correct any "wobbly bits", then lightly etch the metal, plenty of cheap easy ways to do that - then after that, THEN add the tourmaline oxidising liquid. You'll get super crisp detail that has an extra dimension of "depth" because of the etching.
I would be interested in seeing the sponsors responses to some of these. Like the sponsor marketing department gets a cardboard box and opens it and finds the book inside it. Or the craft store employees response to that massive diorama being delivered.

This is so stunning! Your videos have really inspired me to look into book binding and get way more motivated to make my own creative projects. So thank you for that!
I would love a book like this to be made, with the most updated concepts of physics, psychology, ethics, and computer engineering printed within, then vacuum sealed in a time capsule, and placed in a structure so the capsule will be at ground level in 150/200 years… something tells me we’ll need it….
next magic tome you make, you should look into electroluminescent paint. then have it setup so it will always open to the page with that on it, and after a second start lighting up the text and symbols as if you were reading and casting the spell on it. applied science has a video a few years old on how to use one with patterns as well as he setup a custom driver board to make it animate. combine that book idea with a mage cosplay and a glowing staff and it would look amazing! hell you could probably even use the EL paint on some plastic to hide IN the mage robes to really make it crazy
Okay but now I want to see you make one of the grimoires from FFXIV. There's some gorgeous ones that I think would be an awesome challenge and they're about to launch Endwalker so you could proooobably do a collab. ;)

Wow this was awesome! Huge fan of Genshin Impact so this was especially cool, and I love all your videos! I think it would be SUPER neat to see you do some hidden Fore-edge painting on the pages of some of these hefty tomes you make. Imagine a hidden Skyrim scene on one of your spellbooks, or a LOTR view of the Shire or Mordor etc... peeking out from one of your leatherbound books...
And folks, that's when Martina was sucked into the genshin impact hole; to forever be bound to the very game, within the spine of this one incredible book.
whoa I was watching all these bookbinding videos and did not expect to see this, this is amazing- all the attention to details and everything is super cool and very inspiring
okey as a student who's studying iron/zinc engraving i have to know the exact process and tools u used to make the brass shine like mirrors!! It takes me so much time doing that by hand with sandpaper just to prepare my iron piece before engraving it ahah. And impressive project as always! You amaze me by all your talents!!
What I really like about you're channel is, that you see tools and stuff of common european brands. Most good craft channels are from the US and you have to figure out good substitutes. But no problem here at all. Btw I think norwegian sounds fascinating 🤩
I love how 'making the book' used to be the main part of videos and now it's just like "Yeah I made another book" and we go "Cool😐👍" and then the *real* Video starts...
2 THINGS! 1) could you show us how you set up the flexible LED strips with the battery in the book? I always enjoy making that kind of stuff but sometimes the batteries just seem to die quickly even when the lights are off for like a week. 2) Just a crazy idea, I know your awesome at making magical looking decor and cosplay BUT since you enjoy playing fantasy games, What about a monster taxidermy head? Ya know choose a monster from the game you defeated and create a fake head of the creature with all the fun materials and LED lights your so awesome at. You could even put your weapons around the head like what ya see at taverns
I've always wondered why book authors don't make covers like this. For video games, we get cool collectors edition metal covers and cases for discs, surely the "literature market" can put this caliber of effort into their work. Imagine a book shelf with a bunch of books like this, it'd look truly amazing (and might even encourage me to read a book for once).
I love this channel because of the dedication to making something incredible and accurate- not many people would actually make the metal parts out of metal! Especially the casting,

OMG! Where have I been? Missed this when you first posted ☹️ Didn’t get to see chair this time. Wow you have got mad skills girl. “Just used a sphere mold we had” 😂😂😂 Oxidizing AND casting 😅 Great work as always 😍 insane!!!
This is so stunning! Your videos have really inspired me to look into book binding and get way more motivated to make my own creative projects. So thank you for that!
That makes me so happy to hear! And thank you! 💜
martina really took genshin player to another level-
bro I’d lowkey want this as my sketchbook-
I'm sitting here trying to figure out which one looks more amazing your hair or the book! /j Lots of love from Portugal!
Honestly thank you so much for showing the little trial and errors in your projects! It makes me feel so much better about my own! ❤❤❤
I would love a book like this to be made, with the most updated concepts of physics, psychology, ethics, and computer engineering printed within, then vacuum sealed in a time capsule, and placed in a structure so the capsule will be at ground level in 150/200 years… something tells me we’ll need it….
"A lot of trouble for nothing" kind of sums up a major part of the creative process. What an extremely talented lady!!! Truly exceptional!!!
next magic tome you make, you should look into electroluminescent paint. then have it setup so it will always open to the page with that on it, and after a second start lighting up the text and symbols as if you were reading and casting the spell on it. applied science has a video a few years old on how to use one with patterns as well as he setup a custom driver board to make it animate. combine that book idea with a mage cosplay and a glowing staff and it would look amazing! hell you could probably even use the EL paint on some plastic to hide IN the mage robes to really make it crazy
This is awesome! You really outdid yourself!
I've been playing Genshin since it launched lol definitely recommend it!
Me, trying to listen to Martina explain the LEDs and such....
My ADHD brain: "Is that...? Oooo... watch the fluffy kitty!"
Oh wow, this is amazing! You're really not kidding about the amount of different skills you both had to use for this! So good!
Okay but now I want to see you make one of the grimoires from FFXIV. There's some gorgeous ones that I think would be an awesome challenge and they're about to launch Endwalker so you could proooobably do a collab. ;)
i have never seen someone deserve a sponsorship so much
This is stellar. You continue to surpass all our expectations Martina. You are amazing.. thank you so much for sharing this with us.
Your bookmaking, bookbinding skills are simply amazing. It's definitely an art piece
OMG this is beautiful!!, Martina is such an inspiration for those who want to be a truly maker and beyond. You guys are my inspiration to not give up in my crafting projects
I am sitting here in awe right now. Martina I am so happy I get to watch you do what you love everyday. It's been an honor really. I'm so proud to see the progression of your channel and your skill. You're one of the best out there and you inspire me everytime I watch you. This project turned out flawless girl. I don't know what I would put in the book but I want one. Lol! It's beautiful and looks expensive. So thank you so much for being on here and sharing what you love with me and the world. I got mad respect for you and your husband. Love you guys tons

This is the best one you made yet. 😍😍😍 I'm in love
I love that you keep showing the mistakes and missteps and stuff, that's awesome!
If I hadn’t watched it being made I would say that it was a picture or drawing. It’s *that* epic!
Well done! Your talent is amazing.
Hansi rocking the metal! 🔥🤘😊
Martina if there is such an award on RUclips for most skilled then you my dear win hands down. plus your easy on the eyes as well
Your books are always the coolest, I love so much of what the two of you create, love your spirit and style too!
In awe of yet another FREAKING STUNNING and MAGICAL book, I wondered why you haven't yet made a RUclips tutorial about it... Just saw you have one on your website. YEAH!!!! Will do it as soon as knitting season is over 😍😍😍
Really interested in the bill of materials for this build. Specifically the LED filament as my Google wizardry is failing me today. Amazing build!
I, too, have been unable to find the LED filament in my Google-fu!
Her attention to detail is unmatched
That profile picture is amazing!
Thanks! 😄New logo!
Sometimes I like to put on a nerdforge video during my morning walk, because the background music is so heroic.
Also Been playing genshin since October last year so yay!
The mic during the ad is priceless
You deserve more than 1 million subscribers!!! Just Mind blowing!!! Great Job!!!!!
Idk what that cat at the beginning was going through, but I can relate!
I think if you had a superpower it would be to never Disappoint. Like c’mon! This was anazing!!!!!!
Watching u and your ambitions grow and grow is just fantastic
And folks, that's when Martina was sucked into the genshin impact hole; to forever be bound to the very game, within the spine of this one incredible book.
whoa I was watching all these bookbinding videos and did not expect to see this, this is amazing- all the attention to details and everything is super cool and very inspiring
В мене просто немає слів, скільки ж на це пішло часу та сил, молодець, у автора просто золоті руки. Просто.. ВАУ!! ♥️
okey as a student who's studying iron/zinc engraving i have to know the exact process and tools u used to make the brass shine like mirrors!! It takes me so much time doing that by hand with sandpaper just to prepare my iron piece before engraving it ahah.
And impressive project as always! You amaze me by all your talents!!
You are really good at this stuff. I can’t imagine how long this must have taken.
she literally told you how long in the video.
@@rossclutterbuck1060 I wasn’t able to watch all of it until today because other stuff came up, but yes you are right. Thankyou for the reply
1:55 kittyyyyyy ❤️
4:35 kitty’s gone 😢
5:32 kitty’s baaaaaack ❤️
I’m sure this cat had a huge impact on the success of this awesome project !
so that's where the money for our anniversary rewards went
not gonna lie tho, this is the best thing mihoyo gave us! I'm glad i could see it!
Yeah but it'd make the price of the book so expensive no one would buy it.
I love this channel because of the dedication to making something incredible and accurate- not many people would actually make the metal parts out of metal! Especially the casting,
Of course genshin impact needs more advertising after the bad anniversary rewards
they weren't even that bad...
@@randompersonontheinternet4096 it's more like 'the final straw' more than anything. there's been issues since release.
@@MintyVoid yeah but that happens with every game
@@randompersonontheinternet4096 people don’t appreciate what they have
@@randompersonontheinternet4096 Compared to other gachas it was... meh
Awesome that you come out with this project now, my husband and I have both recently began to play the game ourselves.
The cat in the background is soooooo CUTE!!!!!❤❤
This is so stunning. As always, you guys make things happen.
