It's not lunch control ur just turning off traction control and brake boosting. Put the car in manual mode and you'll hit almost 7k rpms all the time u don't need to upshot the car upshifts on its own until u let off.

Hold rpms at around 2.5k to 3k if you hold your brakes enough, then from there all gas in DS, use 91 or 93 octane + a bottle of an octane booster. It's not the fastest, but it's just enough to have fun 😅
When it’s in the DS mode (sport mode) you don’t have to do any shifting. It’s only when you hit the stick either up or down and see the M1 or whatever gear your on come up is when you have to shift it on your own

Main issues you'd have to worry about would be the VGC(valve gasket cover) , I had to replace mine a week after getting the car at 90k smh. But I got it from a stealer and paid double what you will. The motor mounts might need some tending to as well on a car with that mileage, mine became very uncomfortable on speed bumps because of it. I also had a few coolant issues which were never fun, once on the fwy my hose came aloose causing my car to shoot white smoke from the back exhaust, it was like smoke screen from a 007 movie lol. But assuming all that stuff is up to spec u should be g2g. Honestly the day I sold that car, was better than the day I bought it, but I still had good times. I'm sure you will too!

@@Astralkiller47 First off, you’re just pressing the gas while holding the brake, that’s just brake boosting to your torque converters stall. Launch control actually limits the rpm to a set point you choose. Usually it’s at about 3-4k rpm, but you can change it, the computer will actually hold the rpm to that rpm instead of the stall which you’re limited to, with a turbocharged vehicle like the 335i, launch control can also help with boost pressure where brake boosting doesn’t really calculate that, it just does what it does. What you’re doing is no different than me in my 2009 328i xdrive, holding it to 2k rpm and dropping the clutch. That’s not launch control, that’s just flooring it after dropping the clutch lol. Launch control can also change the traction control to help grip and even change the suspension to get you a better take off, Porsche is an excellent example of this, their launch control is quite impressive. Either way, not the same thing.
