In California we were able to flip the House Assembly District 27 from a pro-lifer without exceptions to a moderate Democrat. That gave me hope.
As much as I liked Kamala, I thought people would have been behind Gavin Newsome for President.
@@czgator9000 I like Newsom a lot but it's too easy to second guess what happened. I think that once Biden dropped out it was so late in the game that Newsom would have been at a bigger disadvantage than Harris. I think the thing that sunk Harris was the Republicans running the clip of her talking about transgender inmates over 30,000 time in the swing states. The Dems thought voters would get tired of it and tune it out rather than counter it.

I'm waiting to see just what he and rhe other politicians are going to come up with after the special session in December. They had better be talking California secession as a valid response to Trump trying to force conservative policies on CA. The one thing most people don't know about Newsome is how 2 faced he is. He signs bills that give companies rights to gouge us all and then when we complain about it, he announces that he's going to 'try to do something about it.' That 'something ' rarely happens.

In my California House Assembly District 27, George Whitesides (D) beat 2 term Mike Garcia (R) who is pro-life without exception. I was surprised because my district had been previously gerrymandered which looked like it was done to make it more favorable to the Republicans.

Same here from Switzerland ! Although I don't think we're blindly infatuated with the US of A 😊, I do think that we feal for all when it's clear that such bully-type corrupt and destructive malfeasance spreads. It's is both disheartening and revolting.
I grew up in Yougoslavia and lived through war, ethnic cleansing and straight up genocide. One think I do now see, is that it is precisely in these moments that we come clean and see what "profiles in courage" really and profoundly means. We get to be these "profiles in courage."

I simply do not understand how the supreme courts in a state like Michigan flips blue yet goes red for the president! Same in KY. This whole situation is so insane. I've noticed that republican voters often project on to Trump what they believe he is when is nothing like that. They think Democrats want to end SSI and medicare because Sean Hannity said so. They believe Trump will do what they put on him. And as you go down the list of them talking they all project on to him like he is a messiah what they want to believe he is.
I have a neighbor who is a retired Army officer and they had Trump signs in their yard. It's completely beyond my understanding how anyone who has served in the military could support him and Project 2025. It's just unbelievable.

Some states automatically do recounts if the margins are close. Pa is one of them and the last I heard is that they are looking to do a recount.
Not only that but I've heard rumors that as we get close to January we MIGHT hear some folks come out publicly and say that Trump is constitutionally unfit to serve. Even suggest that there are clauses in the constitution that would determine that he can't serve a 2nd term. It's gonna get messy, I'd say after Christmas.

What broke my mind about the Michigan Supreme Court election was not just that we got two good justices in (one new and one incumbent), it was that they were both elected by a 30 point margin.
The question now is....what do we do now??? How can we start to fight the crap thats headed our way?
It is at the State level that we need to make gains. That is how we will win victories for the nation.
We need as many victories as we can get in the next few week!!!!
This time is precious to strengthen communities and outreach to neighbors... protect & grow media presence and free press... let legislators know we count on them and have their back... and keep hope with the wins. I'm a rural Democrat on the central side of Washington State, the same thing happened here with senate races and more local spots. Some of them actually got noticable votes and almost flipped the counties blue. I hope Democrat Establishment at least keeps that up. Rural Democrats will finally feel like they are being payed attention towards.
To those that voted Blue I thank you! Don't never let someone tell you your vote doesn't matter because it does, every vote counts. The only reason the gQp tells you it doesn't count is so they can keep their control over Congress and discourage those that votes against them. If there is a next time for us to those who haven't voted in this year election please do so next time if you're able to don't sit out that is why we're back in the same mess we left in 2020.

There should be a recount in swing states before its to late. It should be done in every election. There are alot of people that have called in and found out their vote was not counted.
Let's remember how ineffective Trump is as a politician. He passed one bill, a tax cut for the rich. This time around, he doesn't even care about them! He will spend his entire term in courts and the rest of his time on the golf course. We need to work out these Trump issues more, they never ended, they just lost last time. That is why it is important that he was re-elected, we need to work these issues out, not just ignore them.
He won't spend any time in the courts.

He can threaten the judges to rule in his favor.

Oregon and Washington we flipped one seat in-the house to blue and the other was a very hard fought fight. Kept it blue. The magats even came to stump for the republican candidates even Johnson came to speak. Both candidates lost. Dems won!!🥇
I am an independent in neither of those states. The D can learn from Marie Gluesenkamp Perez flipping WA-3 in 2022 and holding it in 2024 by keeping the campaign centered on local and state issues.

Sherrod Brown losing was generally a shocker, I thought Ohio liked him as their own Bernie Sanders.
Unfortunately, soon-to-be former (U. S.) Sherrod Brown faced extraordinarily strong political headwinds in 'The Buckeye State' this time around.
A lot of negative ads the last month. It was just constant lies going unchecked. They spent 200 million on that seat.
Overall sad and a let down. He was a good senator.

Sherrod Brown actually IS a true Ohioan. Not a carpetbagger like Vance and Moreno. He worked his ass off for the people of Ohio. He brought funding for countless projects and untold numbers of jobs back to the state. He was a champion of the working class, regular folks and union members. The people of this state are stupid and voted for another election denying, Trump bootlicker, who only wanted the job to grift off the citizens of Ohio. Moreno is another misogynistic, lying oligarch. What a terrible loss for Ohio.

My daughter and I worked our asses off in NC; we turned the state blue. Spoke to an Englishman who said this year saw fascism in every country rise; America’s rise wasn’t as bad as other countries apparently according to London’s Financial Times.

Go michigan! My fellow michiganders have been letting me down lately. I believed most of us supported justice. So Im glad the dems wrestled another seat from them. Kentucky, I lived their too for a few years. lotta poor people there with no jobs, and little opportunity to even get a job. At least that was my experience while there.

As A Brit I would say that the legal system should be completely apolitical and focus on the LAW. This is the only way that our leaders can be held to account.

It happens when I’m watching any of the shows with Rachel or the other guys the last five minutes of the show gets cut off by Chinese lady sitting there needing or crocheting and it happens every time on everyone of the MSNBC shows
Someone send me a message responding to my complaints about this and said that it happened to her in a different network also
So please, if you can let them know what is happening. I don’t think it’s fair that they hack our last five minutes of the show the summary and conclusion it’s important.
