Warmup is actually much faster than it is IRL, if you want it even faster, adjust the locoHeatTimeScale in the IR config. To connect coaches, just drive into them.

hello there! i have installed everything correctly, although i have an issue. please take a little bit of your time to read this :) whenever i use any DIESEL locomotive (and sometimes steam) i have this issue where my camera glitches, and suddenly i dont see the interior of the train. it goes for a second, and comes back. it does this all the time and hence makes train travel with diesel locos more painful. Can you please help me? I would appreciate it a LOT! Thanks
This is a visual bug in version of IR later than 1.7.0. It will be patched in the next update. Personally, I use 1.6.1. It's a lot heavier to run, but it's still stable.
Oh, ok. By the way, I need some help. Some of the locos are completely invisible and unrendered, others are untextured but their shape is rendered, and some are just fine. Also, clicking on the stock tab in creative crashes my game, and I constantly get OpenGL error 1285: (Out of memory) in the chat. dafuq is happening? 2 gb RAM, 32 bit Win 7.
Maybe you had an older version. Try getting the newest :P and look at your key bindings Edit: steam locos need steam pressure to blow the wistle. No steam no sound :P
Is there a way that you can instantly put ethanol into the diesel without getting a lot a bucket and do it manually like put the bucket and shift right click
not really, but fluid loaders can load them from a tank. Some mods add large containers that hold a lot of fluid at once. There's also a config option that disables the requirement for fuel in locos at all.
Have a problem when trying to add water to the locomotive in version 1.12.2. When attempting to move the water to the train GUI to fuel it, it refuses to move with my mouse. Basically item movements in the train GUI are locked.

@@requiem5564 you can always right-click while riding the loco to open the GUI and insert fuel. If you're using pipes, you'll need a fluid loader and setup the pipes based on what that mod's wiki says you need to do.
In what way? If you just want them to keep moving, you just need to start them moving then exit the cab. If you want automated behavior, then you need to use the mod OpenComputers to automate them.

in 1.12.2 it says that you need to heat the diesel engine before you can run it but there is no space for it. how would you do it?
press the plus key on your numpad to enable the locomotive, then wait for the temperature to rise until the temp. gauge changes color.

You need Immersive Engineering for Ethanol and Biodiesel or Immersive Petroleum for Diesel.

About a few seconds for me.. If you have a slow pc it will take about 30 seconds. Fast pc, around like a few seconds

Warmup is actually much faster than it is IRL, if you want it even faster, adjust the locoHeatTimeScale in the IR config. To connect coaches, just drive into them.

They should add an Amtrak Acela and F40PH. Maybe some Metra liveries and cars/cabs.

You also need a tender for any american steam locomotive that is base mod.
you don't actually need a tender as the loco as an inventory of its own. The tenders just restock locos automatically.

Some mods cause conflicts with the inventory system. It's possible you have one of those.

I run 1.12.2 since the mod is programmed for it. It is however backported to 1.10 and 1.11

So the train horn for numberpadner doesn't work so I just set it to h to horn
By default it's sent to linux's "return" key instead of window's enter. You can just rebind it to enter and use numpad enter too.

Shut off the throttle then wait for it to heat up. Then wait for the pressure bar to fill up to at least 75%

JackDoeaw This is a known mod conflict with Crayfish’s gun mod. If you have that installed too, remove it.

IR version 1.8 has that bug due to chunk-loading oddities, it should be fixed in the next version.

Firefox 62 change your GUI scale. Automatic makes it larger than even the large setting.

As mentioned. I usually plan audio and content, but this video was made hastily because someone in the IR discord wanted a visual representation.
I never expected it to get algorithm'ed and thought it would only be seen by 1 or 2 people.
