This video was a HUGE help to me as I was considering doing a custom along these lines and you showed me that not only is it possible, but it's actually fairly easy! Hasbro has announced a Walmart-exclusive version of Boba from the Mando episode where he first gets his armor back and it's all beat-up, but it's just a super-lazy repaint of his new "throne room" figure (when he repaired and upgraded his armor and outfit) and thus not screen-accurate. I'm going to go your route and have a much better figure.
BTW, I love that Hasbro switched to butterfly joints on the shoulders, as it's now possible to easily boil and pop the arms off their figures. Great for customs.
Great video. I just got myself a Tusken Boba and another Deluxe version (I do not want the re-armored figure as I do not think he is accurate enough to buy him). I will do exactly what you did. Seems I might need some Stormtroopers...
Nomad Boba is a really good looking figure, but you're chopped version knocks it up to another level. Great customization and great video. 👍

His weapon looks like a musket, ^^ posing him, use the butt of the rifle to bludgeon his foe!! I like the ammo belt around his body, always cool to have spare ammo hanging off the figures. I think in the future we could se the emergence of a NEW Black Series Line, the 'Temuera Morrison' Line, there's gotta be so many characters with his face sculpt coming up.
Great idea using the butt-end as a weapon... It's very much like a Musket!
This is a great video and a quick tutorial. I also have the same intention of you making this custom kit bash Boba Fett. But I am planning to use the helmet and armor from cobb vanth. As for the arms do I need to really cut them in order to put the Gauntlet or I can just remove the Gauntlet portion from Boba Fett, paint black and connect to the tython version upper arm?

I bet they will skip the Repaint version. Of course we haven’t seen anything at the show comes out in a month. Hasbro is really asleep at the wheel.
@@southp2470 That's what I am affraid of too. It's not like they don't push their characters, but it seems very much like a lot of people really did the rearmored Boba. And it's doable with what they've got available, proven by you :) and we know how much they looooove to "recycle".
Great review, great figure. Open question to anyone who has TBS Deluxe ROTJ Boba Fett and TBS The Mandalorian Boba Fett Tython, does the Tython head fit onto the ROTJ Boba neck peg? ive tried the Echo clone trooper head as well as all of my other clone trooper and jango heads and all the various necks but none of them work appropriately on ROTJ Boba, either the necks too short or too long. The head under the ROTJ helmet is NOT any previously released fully painted clone trooper head.
will the Boba fett Tython head after being heated and popped off fit on to ROTJ Boba Fett neck with appropriate proprortions?(IE not too long or too short?
Have you thought about adding some soft goods on the legs?
Is the head sculpt the same as the unpainted one?
Yes I believe it's the same head sculpt. They have done a great job painting the scars and skin discoloration to the point where I wasn't sure if it was part of the sculpt.
Did you paint the figure and cloak before this video? Mine is more brown than black.
No paint. That is exactly how he looked out of the package. Did you get the standard boxed version or carded “credit collection”? The carded one is definitely more brown.
@@southp2470 I got the standard Mando line Boba at release. Looking at some retailers photos I can see the same brown as mine in their promotional photos. I’m planning to darken the colours to make it more accurate.
