Thanks to David Chambers on Patreon I can now confirm that Dr. Evazan's arms are reuse, turns out they are from Jedi Luke. In my defense, all of my Black Series Jedi Lukes are covered by something. Endor poncho, Mandalorian cloak as a stand-in until we get a proper one, etc. I can award myself points for at least recognizing the reuse, right? RIGHT?

That Fennec Shand figure might have secured herself a spot in the top 10 best Black Series figures of all time. She is dripping with budget. Great review Robo. You’re my favorite.

I really hope the production version of the "deluxe" throne room Boba has the accurate black undersuit instead of reusing the brown from the Nomad Boba.

Unless you reeeeaaallly want every look of Boba's I'd wait. He's getting a "final" look in his show which is more clean and "new" looking, that one, if it gets a figure, would have to be a mostly new sculpt.

I want Fennec Shand! She's so cool inside and outside the series. BB used her pretty well, Mando did a great job with her, and I'm wondering what she'll be like in Book of Boba

Yep.. So Great that Hasbro (like All BS since the better box packaging adjustment) will make sure to under produce them. Sending 1 or maybe 2 whole cases over the next year to A TARGET &/or Walmart near you (and me).
I think that's the best Carrie Fisher sculpt, but it feels older. Almost closer to what she looked like on the late 80s
You see Ponda Baba (Walrusman)'s model of blaster in the Mandalorian, in Mando's weapons rack on the Razor Crest. But in real-life, the prop came from an armourer, who among other productions, supplied weapons for the BBC Television series Doctor Who. There's one particular Doctor Who story, in which the Doctor's arch enemies the Daleks are left without power for their built-in blasters. So, they develop a machine gun instead - and it's a long silver tube with those distinct flared fins on the end. Along came Star Wars a few of years later, and the armourer supplied weapons to that production - including a pistol with the Dalek machine-gun barrel. It's not the only time there was a cross-over of props between the two productions - the Tusken Raider Gaffi-stick appeared in the Doctor Who story The Power of Kroll. The space-suits worn by Bossk and by BoShek in the Cantina in A New Hope both turned up in Doctor Who a couple of times in the 60s, and Jabba's hookah was sprayed all gold and stuck to a wall as decoration in The Twin Dilemma.
I'm a big fan of the new stormtrooper sculpt. I agree - it just looks natural, like a person wearing armor.

This wave looks fantastic. It's the first time I can recall wanting all the figures in a wave. I can't wait to get these.
I’d buy all these. But I think I’ll just get Ponda Baba. He’s a unique alien that is always welcome for representation.
My only complaint about Bib is that I really wish he came with his staff from the Kenner figure.
I can only imagine the excuse is how we never saw him with it in ROTJ but they included cups, so it’s really not an excuse tbh

Ponda and Evazon look like decent civilian fodder, once you pop the heads/hands.
Not sure Evazon could be a good base for Wuhrer, but (…Rod Steiger?) from Life Day needs a bit more of a gut. Otherwise, that body could work for all three.
And I still want Bea, Harvey, and Chewie’s family as figures!
Leia almost looks like her Blues Bros self. Nice call on updating the gold bikini head, as we’ll never get another one of her (and Oola?).
Fennec is the only one I’m interested in so I can custom Malinda May to join SHIELD.

Red Biker Scout w/ Grogu in sack. (Aka Adam Pally!)
C-3PO (elf style w/ Hey-HEY! dude?), red StormTrooper, and a green Trooper.
Not sure why they mostly reuse the Troopers, as Hoth Rebels could work, too. Or green Twi-lek.
Not sure WHERE these are hitting, but all five were found at once, not sure what store, either?
I have the Cantina Showdown set, but I'll probably grab Ponda for both flippered and handed looks, and the first thing I thought when I took Evazon out of the package was "Wuhr custom", so now there's that possibility

I feel so "out of it" - I have been a fan of Star Wars (since i saw the first film when it came out, when I was in third grade) and I had ZERO clue that Bib Fortuna was a Twi'lek! I guess it's his Leeku/head tails, and they way they draped that made the think he was just another species I hadn't seen before. Glad I tuned in - not only great reviews but I learned something!!! Robo, it was super to get your take on this wave. The mix master/war of sound trooper was 😀. Fennec is the stand out. I am impressed with her rendering. You put Bib through the paces and there is a well articulated figure underneath all the attire. All of them make a worthwhile wave. Bring on the denizens of Jabbas palace as black series!
Can’t wait to see that leia warming the shelves next to lando for the next six months and NOTHING else!
I want to say the Jedha troopers backpack is for carrying kyber crystals and the cylinders are crystal containers. But the
sound system idea is more fun!
They're the ones who play the Imperial March whenever the Empire is around.
Yeah, that's right. The backpack also carries a "Multi-Frequency Spotlight Glow Rod" (basically one of those chunky like rectangular flashlights), a pair of Electrobinoculars, a datapad, and an Armor Accessory Cube Locker (what that is, I haven't the slightest idea)

This Wave 31 is hands 🙌 down the greatest wave in Star Wars Black Series history!
Save for the Mayfeld being a seriously weird pick, I'd say this is one of the strongest Black Series waves ever. Four legendary characters, two characters in currently airing media, and a very solid army builder is a fantastic lineup. Still wish Mayfeld was in his Season 1 gear though, because as it stands, there is basically no point in having Zero now.
Which ones are included as legendary characters? Leia, Boba, Fennec and Bib?
Def grabing those Boba and Fenic toys the robe scared me but im glad almost all the details are there
Love the Bib Fortuna. I wish it would have come with his 'vintage Kenner' staff though, especially as he had it in the after credits scene of Mandalorian season 2
I hear you on the Miggs Mayfeld sculpt. I similar issues withe the Luke Skwwalker Sbowspeeder Pilot H/S. Had to go thru 3 figures till i finally got one with decent eye printing!

So far the only explanation for the jedha pack circle thing is it is where they store kyber crystals. Is it true? Probably not but it's all I've heard so far

The legs for bib is Dryden Vos’es legs I think… great wave good and smart reuse that’s for sure

Can't wait for this wave to be more readily available! Need that Boba and Stormtrooper the most, will work on the Tank Driver (not Migs because I'm definitely army building this) and Ponda Baba later.

Word of warning for the ether--my Ponda Baba blaster barrel broke when I tried to put it in the holster, so careful if it doesn't go in smoothly.
If you look at Miggs face head on, you'll notice the Jae lines are totally messed up.

typical, just as i'm considering changing my collecting habits (thinking of getting more into statues like iron studios 1/10 scale instead of these figures, more high end things) they go & bring out a wave of figures where nearly half of it is figures ive thought id like since i started collecting, i'm having a dilemma now lol

The Bib Fortuna figure reminds so much of the 3 3/4 Power of the Force figure from the 90's.

Something I have noticed (yes I know this is a year old video) is that the upper neck joint for black series is not a dumbbell joint, is a peg (lower) to a ball (upper) and it feels like a missed opportunity for better articulation
For the ponda figure, do you know the ball joint on the neck is bigger for the head? Or could it fit a standard hasbro figure head?
btw it’s possible to get the backpack underneath the pauldron
the way the legs are articulated is how anthonys customs want the dragon ball figures to almost look like and its really good.

Fenic is gonna be a top ten figure I'm sure.. As for the robe on boba it might not look completely accurate but it will allow for nice composition for photography...

It be a good good! I’m okay with Brown Fett. The nomad look is very cool. But his armored look will always be better. The cups are permanent accessories for Bomba and Evazan. They may be wanted men but I think them more as those goofy azz renegades who find trouble. I don’t see them as more than goons and drinking buddies. Bib’s double chin should have been set back just a little more so the chin chin is more pointed. Shand is a treat! The best pick of the box for sure. Those straps come off of the rifles if they get in the way.
Not sure since I don't have the figure, but are the Bib Fortuna legs the same sculpt as the Dryden Vos legs?
The arms you were wondering about are from the rotj luke skywalker mold.
You seen that TVC Bib head? Hasbro nailed Bib's likeness and skin coloring there, but here....not so much.
Wondering if the Fennic head on the Jaina Solo body would make for a good Melinda May...

I missed it at Dorksidetoys! It sold out fast! I do have the wave ordered, except the Leia. I have 3 Leia's already and the original outfit ordered so I passed on the Ceremony Leia.
Is the stormtrooper helmet a thicker/harder plastic then the original release helmets?
I've heard they made the Artillery Troopers and new Shock Trooper's helmet stiffer to prevent warping.

Are those Bob Fortuna legs reuse? The double knees seems kinda telling as well as the strange striped design. Wouldn’t expect that from a fig with completely concealed legs

The blue shading on Bib's head really throws me off. Like, it would be one thing if that's how he looked in Return of the Jedi, but it's not. I literally just went and double checked in case, and there's only the very faintest hint of blue in some creases on his head tails, but certainly nothing on his face. Weird choice.
