This brought me to tears...I can't imagine the mistreatment he endured to cause such lasting trauma. God Bless you all for showing him such kindness and love. Thank You! love from Bob.
I can't believe anyone would abuse any fur baby let alone Bob 🥲 I do hope and pray he lives the rest of his life loved and cared for and gains trust for humans 🙏🍀🙏🍀🙏❤😘
How you think I feel. He was at the barn I'm working as a horse groom. Helping us with one of our horses. Now I want to learn more and more with his videos. I feel very very lucky learning with the best. By the way. Steve and his wife are wonderful people. I'm Luis.
Ive dealt with several thousand horses, and you know something, it's wonderfullvwhen they choose to come and see you. I've nevr tried slapping noises, what is that rubbish. I've had to re train several animals that have had this sort of handling. They are herd animals.
When I was 14 years old I went with my father somewhere I absolutely loved horses . When they couldn’t find me I was in a stall with his white stallion and he said that horse is a killer come out of there apparently he wasn’t I was in there that stallion backed up and let me in. I think the horse didn’t sense any danger from me and that man beat that horse I think which made him dangerous for him or maybe I was lucky but violence is never the way. I think you are one of the very best at working with horses and understanding them. Great job as always. I never go away without learning something
I had a similar experience with a black Morgan stud when I was 12. They said he was a man-killer too. But I had been gentling him over a few days just talking, singing and whistling to him. I was able to curt him and crawl under him. A friend and I even ride him in the paddock. His name was Shamrock ☘️ and it was a wonderful experience.
Bob is beautiful. I would like to knock 7 shades of whatname out of whoever did this to him. Biggest problem with that is I am 84 & not in good condition any more. Poor Bob has been petrified thankfully his owner has cared for him regardless. I sincerely hope he manages to progress in the right direction. It is so very sad to see him so stressed when he is so loved. Good luck with the rest of his treatment. M
As a former horse owner, it was so wonderful watching him get used to kindness. I had a mare who was a wild thing who was abused before I got her and it took tons of patience to make her trust me. Thank you.
It is really an amazing thing. People can go to a Psychologist for years and maybe even have to need medication for the rest of their lives; and here is Steve Young who can help horses recover from their severe fears in a day or a few days. I don't own horses but I love these videos. Bless you and your whole house, Steve. Janis, I'll be praying for you too!

@@ricardavandegrootepoort4297 I understand what you are saying but the fact remains you can see the horses change as Steve works with them and I don’t just mean their compliance. This particular horse and owner may take more time but I stand by my statement.
Psychologists sometimes encourage people to let their fears stay as a part of their personalities. Endlessly digging at their healed scars until they become open wounds again. I worked in mental health for 23 years and rarely did I ever see much improvement in people who had been seeing a psychotherapist for years and years.
Well now I'm crying. Steve is the greatest horseman on the planet, that pony is stunning. 10 years Too I'm crying like a baby. The cruelty of people. I.paid £35 to a gypsy for a piny he was beating. 20 years ago. He became my daughters little working hunter pony and won numerous rosettes. He passed age 24. Never left us till he passed. People who feel the need to beat a helpless animal should NEVER have an animal. Mr. Young has that special touch and understanding with these beautiful animals. How can anyone be so cowardly and hateful as to hurt any of these lovely animals. I agree with the person below. God Bless you for being so lovely to him.
Sadly many people are. Truly aggressive and dangerous horses are created because of those people.. those people who want horses to be machines.. those people who discipline and beat a horse anytime it acts out, effectively removing safer ways (for the humans) that a horse can speak out.. they effectively either create a horse that only believes it needs to cause serious harm or death to be heard or a horse that is so shutdown it doesn't react at all to anything.
I don't ride and have very little connection with horses but I simply love watching Steve Young win the trust of horses with his leadership, patience and love for each horse and owner. I've been watching from NY for years. Thank you.

I very much enjoy these videos with 'difficult' ponies. I learn so much about handling nervous horses especially, and am reminded of the need for courtesy with my own ponies and the value of the slow, courteous approach. I am currently looking after a horse that is blind in one eye, a beautiful old mare, and I can appreciate how respectful, slow/quiet movements in handling make our relationship better - the use of the kindly voice to get them used to the human presence too - its all good. And patience.

You are so beautiful with this horse. 😭
A difficult situation. Even if you have to be firm with Bob,it will help him live his best life. Long feet can cause pain. Not to mention how stressful it is for all involved. So glad you have been able to help.
I’m crying with Janis this morning. Thanks for sharing this with us. Brought up some memories with my black and white Shetland mix of my childhood. Precious steps for the future. Thank you, thank you.
You never cease to amaze me Steve. It’s to bad Bob is so frightened …he deserves a happier life. I hope it works out next visit. And keep trying Janis…………
It's the first time I've come across your channel and you warmed my heart with this little pony . So sad what this poor little pony has been through 😢 how can people be so cruel 😢. I'm watching how you are being so gentle and gradual using the "baby steps method" slowly slowly" approach and not trying to rush it with Bob like some ppl would , I think you're amazing in what u do and I had tears in my eyes throughout most of this video, you ended up having a connection with Bob , I could see it gradually building and Bob starting to relax and trust you. Thank you for being there and helping these animals in need ,god bless you and your expertise 🙏❤️ 🐎🐴 NOT ALL HEROES WEAR CAPES, 🐴🐎🙏🐎🐴 xx
Wonderful job with Bob, Steve. What a beautiful pony. Poor baby had a hard time with people, I am certainly empathetic. Thank you for helping him.💝 You are a gift to horses.
Absolutely marvelous! He's so calm, totally in sync with Bob. Understands him, gently works with him to get a remarkable result! What a pleasure to watch!!! Cheers, Sir!!!
This has been one of the most moving videos I have seen. Bob is such an amazing old soul. Steve's patience and dedication made a difference showing that it's really about the horse's timeline and not the human's. So glad Bob ended up with Janice who is kind... hopefully she can make progress with Bob. Looking forward to an update. Thank you again Steve for making a difference in horses' lives.
I really love watching these videos when the road is so long and difficult to get a result. This is when the lanuage and the patience of Steve shines very clearly. Great video! Kepping my fingers crossed for Bob.

Thank you.I loved watching Bob relax into your touch and actually enjoy. That was beautiful!
I love watching you teach each horse how to communicate. Your rules are clear and they become so confident in that unchanging space. Beautiful.
I'm watching how you are being so gentle and gradual using the "baby steps method" slowly slowly" approach and not trying to rush it with Bob like some ppl would ,
I think you're amazing in what u do and I had tears in my eyes throughout most of this video, you ended up having a connection with Bob ,
I could see it gradually building and Bob starting to relax and trust you.
Thank you for being there and helping these animals in need ,god bless you and your expertise 🙏❤️ 🐎🐴 NOT ALL HEROES WEAR CAPES, 🐴🐎🙏🐎🐴 xx
People can be so horrible and some so loving! It truly is a miracle.Thank you
Wonderful job with Bob, Steve.
This is why I've believed in you since I first saw you help a very similar horse. Thankyou for a try. And a plan!!
Absolutely beautiful Bob! So grateful Janice knew to get SYH. Well done!!
This was so uplifting. God bless you for how you made Bob feel.
Wow Steve you're amazing, just amazing!! LOVE watching how gently you train the poor scared horses with such kindness.😊
Beautiful, sad story.. blessings, too, everyone.
Miracles happen every day. God bless you.🙏❤️
So incredible to watch as a fellow horseman here in NY. So grateful to have come across this.
Happy Bob and Happy Trails ♥️
This has been one of the most moving videos I have seen. Bob is such an amazing old soul. Steve's patience and dedication made a difference showing that it's really about the horse's timeline and not the human's. So glad Bob ended up with Janice who is kind... hopefully she can make progress with Bob.
Looking forward to an update. Thank you again Steve for making a difference in horses' lives.
I remember this guy. ❤
I really love watching these videos when the road is so long and difficult to get a result. This is when the lanuage and the patience of Steve shines very clearly. Great video! Kepping my fingers crossed for Bob.
Steve, you are such a blessing, with pockets full of patience, Great Job BoB. You both are a gift from God. Many Blessings
One can hear the genuine delight Steve has in interacting with the horses.
