When I was 14 years old I went with my father somewhere I absolutely loved horses . When they couldn’t find me I was in a stall with his white stallion and he said that horse is a killer come out of there apparently he wasn’t I was in there that stallion backed up and let me in. I think the horse didn’t sense any danger from me and that man beat that horse I think which made him dangerous for him or maybe I was lucky but violence is never the way. I think you are one of the very best at working with horses and understanding them. Great job as always. I never go away without learning something

I was able to curt him and crawl under him. A friend and I even ride him in the paddock. His name was Shamrock ☘️ and it was a wonderful experience.

Psychologists sometimes encourage people to let their fears stay as a part of their personalities. Endlessly digging at their healed scars until they become open wounds again. I worked in mental health for 23 years and rarely did I ever see much improvement in people who had been seeing a psychotherapist for years and years.

Sadly many people are. Truly aggressive and dangerous horses are created because of those people.. those people who want horses to be machines.. those people who discipline and beat a horse anytime it acts out, effectively removing safer ways (for the humans) that a horse can speak out.. they effectively either create a horse that only believes it needs to cause serious harm or death to be heard or a horse that is so shutdown it doesn't react at all to anything.

Steve Young, my Daddy is Cherokee Indian & a Horse Trainer. Up to now I’d never seen anyone who could come close to his level. He was an experienced Cow poke & Rodeo competitor & was a Trick Pony Rider like I’ve never seen anyone else who has ever come close to him. Imho, He literally communicated with horses & Dogs & all Animals really, in some Telepathic way. Because people would bring him the most difficult beyond fractious Horses & he would work with the Horse & eventually the owner. Until both were comfortable and working together to become a united pair. He trained many Competitive Horses & their riders - Rodeo Riders and such. And he traveled sometimes to do his work but mostly they came to us & stayed in one of the bunk houses. Steve you have a wonderful way with Horses & I suspect many other animals - like my Daddy. I pray for Sweet Bob. It’s obvious to me Bob has been quietly yearning for someone to pet & love on him, & didn’t consciously realize what exactly he was yearning for. Till you persisted in his - his stay away antics - getting his attention & gentle him enough for a Ferrer & vet to see to his most pressing needs & learn that not all people are evil monsters . It’s a shame he can’t stay with you for a few weeks to effect a total change in him, he needs your confidence as well as the training & release from fear, you could give him. I wish you both the best. ❤ & Blessings

Poor Bob having to live in such terrible fear. I feel so bad for him.
Thank you for having the virtue and patience of a Saint Steve. Fantastic how you were with him. Bob was on a good way, he had accepted you well.
God give Janice her confidence back. Such a gentil soul she is, but she can do it!
It’s a shame you live so far away.
But I t would be awesome if you and Dan could go back and trim his feet, spend a little more time on him. I know he will have that much needed breakthrough at some stage.
Prayers of love light, strength, acceptance, confidence and mercy for Bob. He is beautiful and deserves a life free of his Trauma.
Thank you Steve and Tanja, for all you do - you are a huge blessing❤

I very much enjoy these videos with 'difficult' ponies. I learn so much about handling nervous horses especially, and am reminded of the need for courtesy with my own ponies and the value of the slow, courteous approach. I am currently looking after a horse that is blind in one eye, a beautiful old mare, and I can appreciate how respectful, slow/quiet movements in handling make our relationship better - the use of the kindly voice to get them used to the human presence too - its all good. And patience.

This is so beautiful to watch made me cry. You treat this horse like he is a person and you respect his horse language and his horse body language and you approach him with respect for his emotions, his thoughts, his life experiences and you do not impose human behavior onto him, instead you go into his world and you meet him in his language. You are so beautiful with this horse. 😭

A difficult situation. Even if you have to be firm with Bob,it will help him live his best life. Long feet can cause pain. Not to mention how stressful it is for all involved. So glad you have been able to help.

It's the first time I've come across your channel and you warmed my heart with this little pony .
So sad what this poor little pony has been through 😢 how can people be so cruel 😢.
I'm watching how you are being so gentle and gradual using the "baby steps method" slowly slowly" approach and not trying to rush it with Bob like some ppl would ,
I think you're amazing in what u do and I had tears in my eyes throughout most of this video, you ended up having a connection with Bob ,
I could see it gradually building and Bob starting to relax and trust you.
Thank you for being there and helping these animals in need ,god bless you and your expertise 🙏❤️ 🐎🐴 NOT ALL HEROES WEAR CAPES, 🐴🐎🙏🐎🐴 xx

This has been one of the most moving videos I have seen. Bob is such an amazing old soul. Steve's patience and dedication made a difference showing that it's really about the horse's timeline and not the human's. So glad Bob ended up with Janice who is kind... hopefully she can make progress with Bob.
Looking forward to an update. Thank you again Steve for making a difference in horses' lives.
