I would love to see a series that is based on the reality of the real Laura Ingalls' life, like in he book "Prairie Fires: The American Dream of Laura Ingalls." That would be really different than the original show. The original show is based on the childrens' books, which is a very watered down, and childlike fairty tale view of Laura's life, which was somewhat fictionalzed even in the books she wrote. The reality of Laura's life was closer to the show 1883 on Paramofunt. You can't compete with the original show, so they would have to do something totally different in style. But a serious and dramatic story about the reality of Laura Ingalls' acutal life, will look more like the prequels to Yellowstone, and would bring on a whole new generation of fans who might have never considered watching the originals.
I have all the books. I love Laura's story.
So far I've only read the first book. I loved it. I don't have a lot of money so I buy one book at a time. I can't wait to read the second one
Leave the original as is Michael Landon created a masterpiece
