    Every Aussie gets Sunburnt like that at least once and learns their lesson. Actually two of my Army Reservist mates got sunburnt worse than that on the Darwin beaches. They fell asleep on the beach and were as red as her singlet top and had to wear very baggy coveralls afterwards. There was talk about charging them for self inflicted injuries preventing them from working.
    Getting that sunburnt causes several severe problems, dehydration, overheating, elevated core body temperature and then skin peeling with the increased risk of infections. A long soak in a tepid bath is a good start while drinking plenty of water and some electrolyte fluids. Light loose clothing after the bath and staying out of the Sun. In severe cases consult with your First Aid book and a visit to the doctor might be prudent. Your body will be in severe shock and pain, so replacing lost fluids and electrolytes is important. There is a temptation to lather the body in skin creams but that can only happen once the heat in the skin and muscles has been reduced to normal.
    Above all consult with a medical practitioner.

      I think the 7 hours was a layover somewhere lol. (Like, the one time I actually went somewhere cool, which my friend paid for because I'm WAY too poor to travel - was to Japan, & I flew from Florida to New Jersey, then to Tokyo. My layover was only like an hour though. Then, on the way back I had to stop & change plans in Denver.
      So, yeah, you're like flying for a few hours, then stop for a couple/few more hours, then fly again for like 15 hours, then you get there.)

    • @johnmitchell2269
      @johnmitchell2269 Месяц назад +3

      You can't fly direct from Germany to Australia as the planes are unable to carry that much fuel (plus it's unreasonable to expect a pilot to fly for 25 hours non stop). So you have to stop in one of India/China/UAE and then get on a different flight to Australia.
