    Ok, but if u would of read it, it says to keep it plugged for 12-15 hours and it does get hot

    • @Isitworthitreviews
      @Isitworthitreviews  2 года назад

      I understand that and I noted that in the video. My point was that it was getting so hot I was honestly concerned with fire..
      I gave my honest opinion on the product and I disclosed that I did not leave the item plugged in as long as the instructions said it could take and I explained why. It is up to other if they would like to purchase the product or not. For me, it is not worth it. For others, it may be worth it.

    The package on mine says that renewal could take up to 24hrs. You should have tried that if you are doing a review.

    • @Isitworthitreviews
      @Isitworthitreviews  2 года назад +1

      If you watched the video I said that I was going to leave it plugged in for the recommended period of time but it was getting significantly HOT so I feared that fire could result.

      @@Isitworthitreviews Mine got very hot. It is necessary for it to get hot to work. However, if the heater is made wrong maybe yours was dangerously hot. If you leave yours plugged in and measure the temperature, I will do the same and we can compare. If it does indeed get to hot, a recall may be required. The temperature is usually regulated by the PTC Heater's characteristics, so it would mean incorrect components.

    • @davidsuzukiispolpot
      @davidsuzukiispolpot 2 года назад

      @@Isitworthitreviews I will run it and measure the temperature with an IR probe but it won't be accurate. You will likely have the same sort of device, so you can verify as it runs. If you are concerned, I would recommend a high quality extension cord and then place the device under test on a surface that can not conduct heat nor can catch fire and run the device far from any stored fuel (such as wood etc .. that could be ignited or made to smoulder)

      @@davidsuzukiispolpot I threw mine out a LONG time ago.. I appreciate the feedback but I was very honest in my video. I was clear that I did not wait the required time that the manufacturer says it needs to be plugged in and I was clear why I did that. I am sure I would not be the only one uncomfortable with the temp.

    Next time read the instructions before doing a review need to be recharged for 12 hours then they last for weeks I use them all the time. Note they fot small spaces like a car or RV

    • @Isitworthitreviews
      @Isitworthitreviews  3 года назад

      I dont think they last for weeks considering mine was "used up" in about a day.. also if you watch the video you will see I unplugged mine because it got significantly hot and I was afraid of fire. Due to this, I did some research and actually found that a number of these units HAVE BEEN RECALLED for over heating and at times catching fire.. just google "Eva Dry Dehumidifier recall" and you will see what I am referring too.. also these lasted for a very short time in Costco leading me to believe that they did not sell well and probably had a high degree of returns.

    I took mine to work to plug it in since I don't have a good single unused plug here and we're closed tomorrow so I won't get it back till Monday.
    By the time I get to it will have been plugged in almost 48 hours. Is that bad?

      Lol! Thank you for reminding by answering. I had completely forgotten and I've been walking by it all day.
      At least now I know it won't burn the building down.
      I'll update if it still works after I unplug it

    these things are a mixed bag....I bought 2 of them and they seemed to be working so well I got 2 more. I should have gotten the warranty that came in the box, because after maybe 3 months the first 2 stopped working (the little beads inside never became orange again, no matter how long I had it plugged in for). Oddly, the other 2 have kept working with no problem, for about 6 or 7 months now. I think the box claims they'll last 10 yrs or something; I doubt it.

      Gets hot because the crystals are drying out, once again it’s in the instructions, that are in the trash.

    It is supposed to get warm, that's how it dries out the desiccant crystals, my dude. It also says to plug it in an outdoor outlet for 24 hours. If you were worried about a fire, you might have used an extension cord.

    • @Isitworthitreviews
      @Isitworthitreviews  Год назад +2

      Do you think, why they are recommending an "outdoor outlet"?
      You are saying warm.. I am saying HOT.
      IMO the product is not worth the risk. I am not saying it definitely would have caught fire.. I am saying it simply is not worth the risk that it might

      B M***s if you listened I did plug it in for about 6 hours but removed it from the outlet due to a fear of fire because of how hot it was.. Also in those 6 hours there was no change at all. You would assume you would see SOME progress.. also I believe there was a recall on these due to fire (saw something on google) so I’m glad I did.
