The song Maria Kalaniemi plays in the wood with the other girl is a Swedish version of a Scandinavian song called Ramund (about Ramund the young). We Danes believe it to be Danish, but who knows? It's a typical traditional song written down between 1400 and 1600. In most versions Ramund is a sympathetic but cruel young man, who uses his sword and dagger to kill his enemies, steal their gold and get a girlfriend :-). I recognised it from the song performed by the Danish group Sorten Muld (recorded 2000), but their text is quite different. I can't find it on RUclips right now, but there are other versions of this song by other artist (Ramund hin unge/Ramund den unge) including the versions by Týr
