The song is not in standard tuning. You have to tune your guitar to what's mentioned in the video. You can get an app on your phone to do so. Just search guitar tuner in the app store.
Unfortunately it's all technique dude. Just keep at it. You'll get there. It took me a long time to get clean sounding taps. There are a lot of good RUclips lessons.
