How important is the paddle tire in dunes? I'm going to silver lake in Michigan this summer and I'm trying go determine if a paddle tire is worth it over a soft compound knobbie.
Offroad Trailrider lean back for traction lean forward to turn better (and weight the outside peg), but the main tip is if it feels loose you just need to give it more gas!
Yes I've recently ridin at the dunes and it isn't that hard but in 2nd gear my back tire wiggles so much it starts to throw the back tire to the side like a whip? Would it be my paddle tire I'm using that's doing this? I have an sti sand wedge 10 cup . It has a wedge in between the paddles for passing over hard surfaces
+Demons1ayer96 PB.F.L 10 paddle is a lot try an 8, keep it low psi like 8-10 and keep your weight back. sand riding is nothing like hard pack keep that in mind.
buy used. i bought a 2008 ktm quad off my dads friend like new condition extreeeemely low hours for $1,000.00 and got my bearings learned to ride, and operate a clutch, sold it almost year later for $2,850.00 now i'm looking at getting a kawisaki 250 or 450 4 stroke dirtbike, i dont know what i want yet for sure, i'm unsure ONLY because i'm planning on riding dunes alot with it and i'm unsure if a 250f will have enough power to haul my 5'10" 175lb ass up sand mountains all day lol. with my ktm 525cc quad, there wasn't ever any questioning whether or not we had enough power, i already knew we did, that mother fucker was a beast. Its all about knowing the right people and finding the deals man. buy something you may not necessarily want, but know you can flip and make money until you get what you want.
I literally got a free dirt bike but of course I had to work on it and fix it up, basically 600$ dirt bike with if your a kid is a summer full of work and getting paid. Plus lean sale soooooo 650$

This was with the stock exhaust. Have fmf slip-on now
I love Glamis!
Demons1ayer96 PB.F.L a 450 with a paddle can go anywhere in the dunes. Tire tracks don't make a difference

Well it isn't hard to ride in 1st gear
Demons1ayer96 PB.F.L I have the same tire and I dont have that issue. Try holding your bike tighter with your knees.
Ok but recently I rode with regular tires and I got up to 4 gear almost with no problem

hey is it easy to ride the 450 over other big tire tracks in the sand?
Why to get a two stroke
Don’t get a two stroke for the dunes 😂👌🏼
