I'm disappointed in AmaLee for attempting human transmutation... but honestly I'm just relieved Truth took her arm and not her voice. This cover was great and everyone who worked on it deserves applause.
She didn't commit human transmutation, because then she wouldn't need the circle on her automail ;)

I personally prefer BroHo, but 2003 is so GOOD. Just the style and the music alone are enough to make it great. I also really liked the alternate story. (I just don't like Shamballa, I try to ignore that movie.)

What I love about this one is the manga stlye of it and the references not only to the original anime but the brother hood one here and there too. Not gonna lie... I missed the old animated music videos! I'm not one of those assholes who hates watching you sing or anything, but these animated openings always look so nice and pair perfectly with your voice. They're almost nostalgic haha!

The nostalgia contained in this song is unparalleled for me. Not only was it the first anime I saw, but one of the first shows i remember ever seeing.

Great work Amanda! Although, I must ask. How did your character get the automail arm? It can't be due to human transmutation since the arm has a transmutation circle.
Not really sure! We didn't flesh out her background super far, since the video didn't need that kind of direction.. but since she's older than Ed, I placed her in being in the military long before him, so she could have lost it during the war? MAYBE SHE DID SOME BRAVE FEAT but I think she's too pure of a character to have been a part of the war for long, so I'd say she was injured pretty quickly and was sent home
LeeandLie Yeah probably. But if she was in the actual story, I hope she would help the Elrics out in their quest and the fight against the Homonculi!

Saving or trying to save? Reaching to grab someone out the way of an attack but just a moment too late to save them and her arm ripped off by the blast?
It'd be an interesting dynamic with Ed because she'd have no regrets about what she did and far less concern over her lost limb. The one thing that would haunt her would be that she wasn't quick and/or strong enough and that would be her driving force. Her desire to protect others to atone for her past failure.
They'd have similar problems but a rather different outlook on them. Yet their goals, as idealists, would most likely align and, if her obsession with being more than she can be led her to be consumed by sin, it would have a truly gut-wrenching impact as a result.
Perhaps there could even be a short-lived romance sub-plot between them to really set up the tragedy.

I think it was adult swim. Cuz I remember this use to come on right after Inuyasha
I believe it started on Toonami, and was continued on Adult Swim after Toonami "ended".
Nana_Heyyy I think it was Adult Swim too because I remember watching so much late night anime on that block and Inuyasha was definitely on that block either next to or near FMA because I actually remember lowering the volume so as not to wake anyone when it came on 😅
