I'll have to give this a try as it looks like fun. I've been having some fun with a Bant Control deck, although the red matchups are always dicey. However, what amuses me to no end is when a Mono Red player gets mad about my control deck when I get ahead and starts spamming the "sleep" emoji and starts stalling. Do they not realize they are favored in the matchup and should be happy to see it? Humorously, it only slows them down as they could have won another game during their stalling.

That 3/3 rat token in the first game, I love when a weak token like that can become a threat that can't be ignored, but the rest is even more problematic and so it just kills the opponent I got a treat of a game against Boros the other day, they mulligan'd to 5, I was playing control and had a really good hand, but they played three Knights of Eos and outvalued me, I couldn't help but be impressed I've also been trying to build a Jeskai Tempo deck, any suggestions?
Another day, another coffee, another sloth video killing it. Question, does the two mana jace (plot) work on the judge? Plot it turn three, then play the enchantment side turn 4?

i really like the deck - but im really having trouble against blue draw + boardwipe decks - pretty much impossible to win and weirdly enough i fight against them constantly
It was Mono Black Day at The Slotherhouse yesterday, and while I missed this one, this one looked like a lot of fun, so I built it. It's absolutely fun to play! Crime is definitely cool, especially in Magic! Great games, and as always, thank you for al that you do, Sloth! 🖤🦥🪿🎉
I feel it’s better to not play tiny bones joins up on turn 1. By turn 2 or 3 they are forced to discard a better card. I’ve been playing a similar deck except it’s black green. I found vadmir too slow to be effective. I’m running glisa sunslayer, bushwhack, and aclazotz.
I think it depends - if you have good crime curve, turn 1 tinybones is insanely good to activate your whole future value - and unless you wait for turn 4-5, discard will be similar overall , maybe except aggro decks while might have 1 card by turn 3. For me Vadmir is nice, but you want to see it as 3/3 on turn 2, then it's amazing :)
@@SlothMtg ya depends. Def a great card for activating crimes. I run 4 copies. With kearavek it’s awesome, with gisa it’s awesome. I just like dropping it a turn or 2 later.
I must come clean. I have been playing a lot of mono red because of dailies (wins + dailies for Bloomburrow) and I can see why people play the deck. Fast wins and easy dailies. The saving grace is I only do it in unranked so people can just scoop if they don’t want to play. I needed to come clean to Control Master Sloth. I feel better after the admission of guilt. 🖤🦥🦥

You can't play Jace on 3 first turns :) It's cheap in mana, but text prevents it from being a 2 drop :)

Basically Sheoldred with other cards. I play paper standard and Sheoldred is just not affordable. Oh well

Hard to say honestly. It might be more consistent as it is single colour - but I would risk saying they are similar. Really hard to tell :)

I would prefer to see less red decks as well, hopefully new set+rotation will at least make other colours more meta
