This just made gas powered Challengers even more desirable. I am glad they don't look like generic toasters!
I will wait for the 3.0L inline Hurricane four-door in Bright White with Polished Wheels. Gorgeous!
Same specs but color matte black
I don't like the fake exhaust sound idea.
Yeah there getting away from internal combustion. Should have some other cool sounds.
anything that makes noise I like
I don't like real exhaust sound. It's annoying
Fartsonic?
@@Boomtendo4tw I dont like exhaust sounds period.
I love that four door. I knew they couldn’t loose their police fleet sales.
Facts 💯 imagine this updated Charger stare on a police cruiser 🔥
It will if they did that with the mustang they sure will have it for the police
@@bigred7063 Ew 🐷
5800lbs is insane.
thye had to bro in order for that heavy muscle car feel and its already eletric
This is getting annoying. Why does a sedan need to weigh more than my '98 Silverado...a 4x4 5.7 V8 full-size metal pickup truck?
CAFE standards are getting out of hand, ironically cars are getting heavier for "safety standards" yet I'm quite concerned about the physics of all that. Not a physicist...but if two vehicles collide usually the heavier one will be safer at the expense of the lighter vehicle.
I love my truck but I'm afraid I may need to upgrade to something much heavier than I'd like just to keep my family safe from lukewarm IQ drivers in 6000lb+ death traps.
That's as heavy as the toyota Sequoyah
@@user-pn3im5sm7kall the weight is on the bottom of the car. That makes them safer. They handle well. They’re almost impossible to roll over and your truck would go right over the heavy part and just hit crumple zones.
@@craigcampbell1843 Makes sense. Though I imagine the height of that Charger is quite tall. Not pre-90s size. My truck is 100% stock.
I own a C4 corvette too, I've seen a video of a Ford explorer running over it in an accident. Exactly why I only drive that thing on less busy days
Someone start working on a hack to play custom sounds from the rear speaker. Old jalopy exhaust note, maybe some Rick Astley, rubber chicken sounds, so many great possibilities!
That would awesome but it's not a speaker, it's essentially an instrument (ex:organ) pushing air through tubing and chambers.
Interesting, so like a vuvuzela. It'll be neat to hear one in action!@@bigred7063
the auuuggghhh snore sound
It looks like a watch dogs knock off car 😂😂😂
I'll wait for the 550 HP ICE in Plum Crazy.
I want a bright Orange General Lee complete with a Confederate flag and Dixie Horn!
@@grant9301 You want a loser flag?
re: "Plum Crazy"
@@EchoAccordTRAITOR LOSER FLAG!!!!!
@grant9301 do everyone a favor and don't do that. Use a real patriots flag 🇺🇸
I love that it is a hatchback....that is a genuine surprise.
A fastback coupe, I like that! I'll wait for the ICE variant .
ICE is back in a big way so unexpected 😅
Got to be honest, I have only really liked the charger because its V8 option sounded great. Not sure I would want anything to do with an all electric.
There's an option getting it with an combustion engine
Its a V6. I never liked the base models of these cars. The supercharged V8 is just a dumb ass car I have no valid reason to buy but I REALLY want it. Its hard now days to find a car that serves no practical purpose other then its just fun as hell. That is what we are losing.@@NYSPORTS2883
This right here. I’ve driven many V6 Chargers and Challengers as well as V8 variants. I can confidently say these cars suck without a V8 because you don’t have a V8 to distract you from owning an otherwise average car.
Finally, Dodge answered on the AWD front. But I want to see the 3.0L I6 Hurricane with AWD as well.
have a bit of patience, dodge is known for making tons of performance models.
give it a few years...
@tahwseodtiand AWD Challengers too
The i6 will have awd and rwd in one transmission can turn on and off
@tahwseodti But only in the lame V6 and the 5.7L Hemi V8 AWD were available only for LEO'S.
@tahwseodti Not from 2014-2020. The last batch of AWD V8 Chargers were the Police Pursuit ones, not the regular civilian models, which was 2020. The V6 AWD continued for both civilians and police to 2023. The last AWD V8 civilian Chargers were the 2014 R/T's.
My great-grand father never understood motor cars. Born in the 60's, the 1860s, he kept a horse and carriage until the day he died in the late 1940's.
On the other side of the family, my grandfather drove his entire family out from Colorado to Washington in a Model A Ford. He had to plan the route carefully to stop for fuel but they made it . . . in 1928.
What am I saying? What goes around comes around. You have to adapt to the new . . . dwelling on the old days doesn't change the present. For good or ill, things have changed since I was a little guy in the 60s and my step-dad drove the kids around in the back of the pickup.
I don't necessarily like many of the changes, but I am adapting.
Also, some of the earliest automobiles were in fact “electric”
Adapt? We don't need to adapt to EVs. We already have gas vehicles that do a better job. EVs are not an advancement.
@@leefeegreenz 😂😂🤣
That's ok. And i really like EVs for the city: no noise, torque, readiness, etc. But when I ask for fun and passion, ICE is a must. That's why some people prefers mechanical watches, stylo pens, vynil and so on. As long as we can decide. And we should.
I sure hope these aren’t as easy to steal as my Daytona 392 😂 they look very nice though I’m actually interested. Didn’t think I would be
Same here! Looks like you will be able to track and remotely shut down the car with your phone like Teslas and other electric cars making that a thing of the past.
@@bigred7063 wow that’ll be be incredible. It’s definitely overdue ‼️‼️
Same might get me one tbh lol I gotta see how they drive. Also wanna see the price and if the sounds is any better
My Hellcat Challenger just went up in value
Please don't wreck it 😢
80" wide and 5,800 lbs. wow, it's as big as my Ram 1500
Back in Dec 1967 I special ordered a fully loaded 68 Charger RT.and stll I still love it. So I'm still an ICE dude. However, I'm excited about these new Daytona's an the big " Banchi " spell check..?
banshee - these look like the '68 don't you think? ICE versions next year!
The R/T's color looks like an iridescent blue/green. I like it! 😎👍
Finally electric cars that don't look like an egg
it's still a vibrator, lol
For real, here looking at you Rivian
Instead they look like a 6000lb electric shaver - that is not an improvement. Pretty clear that Mopar is skimming the bottom of the barrel when it comes to hiring designers.
@@a2xd94do you want an egg or a car?
@@ModelY303 I want an egg
I may be one of the few but I love it anyone else?
Nah most people love it but there are a few ICE purist that won't admit to themselves how amazing these cars can be.
@@bigred7063 Yeah I’m glad I don’t have that mindset because I have a garage full of engines but it doesn’t stop me from loving what electric cars have become and what they are capable of.
You and me both.
Looks great like a 69' Charger in either 2 or 4 door and you can still get a gas powered model (next year) if you don't want to play with a oversize radio controlled car!
@@burgboy2459 💯 Same here
Huge 420 hp, AWD hatchback. Great touring car! Folded back seats, foam pad, pillows and sleeping bags. Perfect shaggin wagon, road trippin car for two.
I'm a retiring soon and I'm seriously considering buying one.
Thank you! first video I've seen that tried the back seat! The main reason i have a dodge charger is for the 4 door, if i want 2 door i would have gotten the challenger
Now that's gonna be a cool cop car.
FACTS 😂 the Charger stare just got an upgrade 💯 🔥
Really? With a battery the size of my iPhone lol
4 door Banshee boutta become the fear of the scat boys lol
Meh lmao. It'll never be as intimidating as a p71
@@jordanplays-transitandgame1690nah Scatpacks can go further than any EVs
Interested to know more details regarding it's performance, EPA eMPG, what kind of battery architecture/chemistry Chrysler's gone with.
Samsung batteries at least.
Samsung modular batteries of nmc type already shared. 100.5kwh gross 93ish kwhs useable capacity so matches model s&x.
Mpge can be calculated off of that and the stated 260mile scat pack range vs Daytona r1t 317 mile range=terrible range is the result. 😀👍🏻
And just 183kw dc fast charging for a 2025 model year ev when tesla has offered 250+kws since summer of 2019 now on 400vs.
Also the weight man is hilarous within 200# of a base model awd dual motor super cab Ford lightning truck. 😂
@@4literv6that about average ev range 😂
@@calebpittman7444 yes and matches up nicely to the now dead gas guzzler hemis as kuniskis already correctly pointed out!
In fact he even said his own hellcat rarely ever gets 200 miles on a tank. I know my last 2002 c5 vette never got close to rated mpg. 😂👍🏻
@@4literv6I don’t think it’s gonna be as efficient as the Tesla model S. Battery capacity isn’t reflective of the range. Efficiency makes a huge difference, and Tesla is the the best in that field.
Muscle cars involve an engine and transmission.
This must be a muscle car then cuz they have an ice version
There's going to be a transmission on SRT models apprently.
Thank you Dodge for designing a beautiful normal interior, thank you for not doing a Tesla wannabe interior like everybody else
I like the blue R/T the best. I would even look at an entry level S or ST model. I also would take a hard look at one with smaller less bolstered seats more on the cushy side. They would open up the interior space more. And probably make entry and exit easier.
A 2000 or 3500 pound tow package would be nice so you can yank around smaller utility trailers or toy trailers. Not looking to tow big trailers better suited for a truck here.
What I want is a stylish good looking comfortable American looking and made CAR! Not an SUV or truck! You know, like cars you now only get from Kia, Hyundai, Honda or Toyota.
2 screens looks like the new mustang interior
It's much better integrated though. That mustang setup is gaudy.
@@DaRevrinFacts
@@DaRevrinThat’s what I was just saying to some boomers who hate screens! This designs embraced the screens and the retrofuturistic design while the Mustang just looks tacked on
Well better I’m going to start saving for the internal combustion model
Why when in 5 years gas will not be affordable and all the ice bans world wide come into effect. Waste of money
I really like it actually, good on them for making them fastback, that's the way to help keep sedans/coupes relevant.
Also, make the dumb fratzonic thing optional please.
It can be turned off but I get your point. I kinda want it, but also kinda don't.
@@connergrim7913 Yeah I just don't want to have to pay for something physical in the car like that that I'll never use lol. I understand why they did it though.
I'm really feelin the Scat Pack & I6 and 4 door
Love what they've shown so far, can't wait to see the Banshee. The weight isn't surprising...Electric cars are actually quite heavy because of the batteries.
Same. I have a 22 scatpack widebody now and I love it. I was sad I won't be able to get a new hellcat, but depending on what the banshee is like that might be my next car. The ev scatpack has 670 hp with a 3.3 0 to 60 so I can only imagine the banshee.
2 door & 4 door have the same wheelbase, but is the 4 door longer overall?
No confirmed details yet but 08+ chally and 06+ chargers always were within a few inches to each other. Sure looks like it in the video though.
No. The coupe and sedan both have the same exact dimensions. Rounded to the nearest inch, they are 207" L x 80" W x 59" H. It's much like the 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix, where it was offered as a coupe and sedan, but both styles were the same size. L x W x H to nearest inch: 197" x 73" x 55", and 110.5" wheelbase.
Yes please!!! Hatch back and a frunk. Take my money please.
I might buy the 4 door version. Don't think i'll be able to part ways with my 2018 scat tho. My main complaint is it doesn't look as aggressive without hood scoop and exhaust tips.
That's down, I'm gonna get the 4 door banshee & will always keep my 10' Charger SRT8. Some ppl also feel the 15-23 isn't aggressive enough cuz the body/lights were rounded out using alfa romeo styling that the Dart also got for imporved aerodynamics/better Mpg/less emission credit cost to FCA. This design pays a closer tribute to a true squared out muscle car design. The front wing is a good substitute for the hood scoop & I will definitely be adding a more aggressive wing to it.
@@bigred7063I'm hoping the banshee is a bit more aggressive looking compared to the scats and rt, kinda like what Ford did with their new gtd
I like how it has that old "General Lee" style of design . The 4 door one really reminds me of the "General Lee" because of the color and design look.
Big question: NACS or CCS?
Stellantis has said 2025 for NACS, but they don’t have a deal with Tesla to use the Tesla network.
Love the design. Love that Dodge had the balls that nobody else really does in todays market by making a LARGR/FULL SIZE 2 door coupe. Cars like that used to be everywhere until all cars basically became 4 doors. I dont like the EV aspect. Im super glad to hear than a gasoline powered I6 Hurricane engined Charger is coming. Thats the one id buy no doubt. I love Dodge and the Charger but id never own an EV and an EV Dodge Charger just doesnt sit right with me...ive always been a fan of Ralph Gilles' designs, glad to see he hasnt lost his touch. His cars are some of the best looking out there, going all the way back to the '05 300/Magnum and '06 Charger.
Remember way back last year when charger was a bad ass muscle car. Be happy you were here for those times, because they are now just history
Andre was on point when he said “Please don’t say Prius.” I literally thought the same thing. Don’t compare this to a Prius because this is already a tragedy for MOPAR fans.
Love the car! Great styling. Fake noise not so sure.
That blue green color is incredible
love them,,can't wait to see them in person
❤that Massive hatch!! My 1st thought: Oooh just like my 900SPG! Then Cringe Roman Prius😂Agree w/Andre not the best comparison. Tho a Saab might not be either, but the cool one maybe 😂
That 2 door is gorgeous!! I love the body lines and the over all look! They had me until they made it electric. Give me the hemi and that body, winner!!
Said that many times already. But this is now Stellantis, so they don't care to configure for the customers. Self destructive to the Dodge brand.
@@WW-wf8tu the only way the hemi comes back is if they redesign it. Its neither stallantis nor dodges fault. They never met emissions
They will have the inline 6 option next year, but a muscle car needs 8 cylinders and the sound! The sound and vibration of the engine just asking for the pedal to meet the carpet! It's all just feels like the 80s and 6 cylinder cars. Only plus is v6 motors making 300+ hp.
I’m getting this. As long as it comes in a dark blue I am getting the scat pack with stage 2. Cash!
I’m excited to see them in person
So I will the name plate of the challenger for sure. But was a smart move and I'm glad to see that there's still a combustion engine available I mean not all people want a electric car
I like the interior and I like the styling. I’m SOOO glad they didn’t try to name it a challenger. It makes me wonder why they didn’t go with the barracuda name though.
Tim kinuskis has always said that the Charger is and will always be thier "baby". I'm real stoked they finally made a 2 & 4 door Charger.
I’m really excited for the 6 cylinder engine models to be released! It surely won’t be a v8, but i would much rather be driving One of those than their ev concept cars
I can't wait to see this tear it up!
8:20 my people from the hood they are going to love this idea 8:22
Facts 😅😂😂
I was just thinking this is gonna be THE getaway car now 😂 I cant wait to see the clips
They look great. They would look better with a badass V8 Hemi under the hood though.
But will they be able to use the Tesla Supercharging Network?
Yes
Yes, NACS support is planned for all Stellantis EVs, and I really hope range-extended models like Ramcharger.
Love the orange one
Coming soon to a municipality near you with lights and sirens😅. They should make a wagon version and call it the Charger Magnum.
At least they kept a 4 door version!
Anybody know the weight of the ICE variant?
Ding ding ding! I heard the magic words at 5:50. Internal combustion!
I like it. Put a battle flag on it!
It’s as ya pretty decent EV considering the specs. Curious if the Banshee can reach Plaid specs below 80-70k !
I like the design! Orange with some flat back stripes. Would like to see a flat black version!
Whose Idea was it to make this monstrosity ?
I like that they are not boring EVs but it does look like something from GTA where they put the challenger front end with the charger rear lol.
I was concerned that the Arkansas State Police wouldn't have a pursuit car in the future 😀
Will they have the 4 door internal combustion engine?
Yes, though 4-door is the 420HP standard output Hurricane/SIXPACK S.O.
Is it just me or the 4-door sedan is a bit stretched/longer than the 2-door? I don't seem to find any reviewer regarding this, so I hope they are the same size...
I know I'm going to be hated on in replies, but I actually like the Daytonas/EVs. the passive radiators sound like a neat way to replace an exhaust with something just a loud, and if 800V is on ore than just Banshee, I guess it will be far more popular than the 400V models because of more power, faster charging, etc. Plus, it still gets (hopefully for the price) good range at around 300 miles on R/T. Can't wait to see more, this is the only chance to keep the Brotherhood happy, but I'm an EV person, so I'm already overjoyed that theres an 800V platform (but upset we are getting 400V as bade for some reason)
I like it. A ev sport car would be a fun second vehicle. Range just needs to be decent enough.
2 door ICE version 👍👍in B5 Blue!
Love the double joke in the name of the orange paint volour.
How big is that Frunk.....It looks like a 30 pack of beer to me
Needs v8 with awd and swichable rwd
Shipping with NACS??
Seems to not be the case sadly. Will probably ship with an adapter though.
People whine about the 'synthetic' engine sound, but the same can be said about combustion cars. You can basically make a V8 sound like a prius if you really wanted to. It can either be super cool or lame depending on the execution. In my R1T there is a very noticeable electric motor noise thats pretty cool. Might be neat hearing this amped up.
Yes, and it's dumb on ICE cars as well.
@@vivid_oblivion I agree, we don't need any more noise pollution. Just pointing out the hypocrisy.
I really like cars but loud exhausts are one of the most annoying things to exist.
@@JMNTN Amen to that.
For me you have good sound, and also just stupide loude exhaust, I prefere a car that has a good exhaust note, instead of an annoying loud thing, where can't here you talk.
First sexy electric car and the 4 door slaps
Its gonna be interesting to see if Dodge is aggressive with the pricing or follows the trend of things being ludicrously expensive. A LOT of their past sales were to younger buyers who wanted a v8 but didn't have Corvette money.
I would love to drive this when I
have a job and a living.
Dodge can´t loose one of its best clients: The police of several states. That's why it´s mandatory to have a 4-Door version.
Somewhere in Arkansas, Trooper Byrd is crying for the first time in his life 😭
Finally, a 4 door sedan
Nailed the looks. Really excited to see what it will cost in my country. The taxes on electric cars are very favourable in my country.
About time Dodge came out with A two door charger what were they thinking insane
Honestly I’d probably lease one, and purchase a ICE one when they work out the kinks. I’ll do a 3 year lease
What are the paddle shifters for on the EV? 🤔
So you can pretend you have a transmission.
Im assuming regenerative braking on/off
@@calebpittman7444 why would you turn it off? It's like adding a 2nd brake pedal to the steering wheel, for reasons?
@@thedopplereffect00 every single car with it has the ability to turn it off
@@calebpittman7444 it's still making an EV pretend to be a gas car. It's way easier to drive one pedal
Meantime, focusing on the upside(s), it is not Asian, it is not an SUV, it is clearly visibly identifiable as a US manufactured Dodge car. Also, there is some form of petrol variant. Very rare in 2024.
Watching this something seems off an not as muscle car like about them (besides no engine😂), 8:00 cool idea but have to see an hear in action to judge if works good or not, 👍👍guys
I would go back to Dodge if the exhaust sound can be turned off! Beautiful cars!

Those are awesome. I love the styling. My interest is peaked! I’m happy that you guys got to show it to us. Be well.
A PHEV version or range extended electric like the RamCharger would be cool.
I love the looks of it and the styling. I do like the fact that you can get one soon with a gas engine. But unfortunately I look at this car and all I see is outrageous maintenance cost. I'm just a poor boy. Even if someone gave this car to me, I'd hate it if one of the light clusters went out or one of the screens failed in the car. It would be a small fortune to fix it. And I'd definitely hate to find out how much the battery is in the EV version.
The sound feature is completely unnecessary.
Any company that thinks making a really loud car specifically for the people who are not in the car should be subject to a TikTok challenge where their tires are slashed. This, of course, goes for gas as well.
