I got 3 miles on my phantom 4 professional. I know their totally different drones but I'm sure yours would go even further with the price tag. That IR and zoom is so insane it's really hard to fathom. Very neat!
This drone will go so much farther than what I did in this video. I just didn't want to chance it. This drone is set up to go so much farther. But if you take a look at the price you'll understand why I didnt chance it on an extremely windy day like it was. Thanks for watching though :)

So on the way home from a DroneDeploy mission, a crash right in front of my feet. I was just seconds away from being able to put it in Addie mode and stop the crash.

Very cool drone (that zoom is crazy)! I just uploaded a video where I used my Mini SE in follow me mode (Litchi app). Wind gust were around 30 mph and it still did pretty good. Definitely not ideal having alot of wind.

Yeah I'm not sure why it doesn't do like the Mavic 3. As you zoom in it reduces the stick sensitivity. Very easy to stay on target even at 28X zoom while moving! Seems like the commercial grade drone would have gotten the best features before the consumer drone! Maybe the consumer drone is the test bed or beta testers. Must be nice to get to play with such big toys! lol

Totally understand and fully aware of this feature but when something cost this much. It is scary with how windy it was that day. Ive been flying drones for over 5 years now and always get a little nervous when doing a range test on a windy day because the amount of money in the sky lol.

Dude so freaking scary. I didnt say this in the video but I was having a mild panic attack while shooting this video. My chest was hurting a little and everything. I hope I hid it well lol. But we use this drone for checking roofs. The IR lets us know if there is any moister in the roof. We also use it for 3d mapping. We also use it for roof inspection as well because of that zoom allows us to get close without getting close.
It’s a little hard to get 2 miles on my Mavic 3 classic, it might be due to the fact that theres a whole lot of houses in the way of the RC signal. Any tips on how to get a better rc signal? Maybe get like the controller with the better antenna?
I've had over 3 miles on my original Mavic pro. Higher altitude helps. Weather (moisture/humidity) impacts range, aswell as obstacles like buildings and terrain. Also, the antennas are directional, so make sure you're pointing the controller at the drone and that the antennas are in the correct orientation.
It's most likely you location. I have a classic as well. I live in phx az in the city I can only get 3-4km flying near the limit. If I sit on my roof I can push it even further. In the mountains from a highpoint in Prescott or sedona, I can get far more. Also, if you have the rc pro remote, you will improve range. I saw a guy in Philly get more than I can I in the mountains with that remote. I guess if you pay over 1grand it's for something lol

The phantom is a good platform to mod, used to live flying that drone.

I probably didnt have the camera centered. With this drone I can move the Gimbal left and right as well. I most likely didnt have it centered.
