In the last few months I've also gotten into the habit of taking off a hinge release without my thumb and setting it so cold that I don't have to worry about it coming off every time. It helps with confidence in the whole process. The angle of the hinge is relatively similar each time and can be released without actively tilting the hand.

Can you do a "thing a week" hinge set up for someone who doesn't use a click?

Do you set a single moon release the same way?

I think this won't work, because the only way to do this on a single sear is to make it super cold, which isn't my preference for sure.

You can definitely do this with a single moon release. I've setup multiple hinges for clubmates this way. The only thing you cannot control in a single moon release is the fire speed. I personally have my hinge on a no-click setting, but it is timed and setup to work exactly how it would be with a click.
