Hi, nice/sensible set of luggage :) I like it a lot... Can you tell me a bit more about new v Strom from your experience: - what is the tank range, how far can u go on one tank - how's the seat, any bum ache noticed or is it fairly comfy? Thx
1EDEN Wel the luggage is holding up for a year now, but it's in need of a polish due to the winter weather. (salt) :) Tank range depends a bit, from empty to full is about 17-18l but you can slow fill it to get the "advertised" 20l if i'm cruising on small roads (50-90km/h) i'm getting about 400-430km on one tank If i use the high way and or short rides ( -20km) i'm getting about 300-360km Even on trackdays i'm not burning up more than 6l/100km. The seat, it"s the stock one @ 820mm for me it's a bit short, but it's not thats it"s causing problems. it's not the most softest seat out there but combined with the long suspension travel it's quite comfy I did my holiday with the bike and riding for about 300-400km/day meant nothing for my but or back, on the way back i decided due to upcoming bad weather that i would do 967km in one pull. only after about 850km i started to feel the numbness due to not having enough breaks (keeping in mind that i havend stopped unless it was for a badroombreak of for food.) so i'm very happy. at this day my bike haves done 16K and i still havent complained about one thing.
thijs wittemans nice1, sounds like you have made a good choice by buying this bike ;) I've made once 1.300 km per day from UK to POLAND on my FZ6 but I stopped counting how many breaks I had to take due to my numb butt ;) but its doable... so I guess this baby could do it easily.... I like this bike a lot, it imght be my upgrade at some point! Thx for the info
Hey Thijs, kofferset ziet er strak uit. Ga je ook nog een skidplate of bellypan aanschaffen.... dan is de Strom helemaal af naar mijn mening. Ja, idd ik ben een van die, die de V-twin te vibrerend vind en voor een 3 cillinder is gegaan lol :) en nog steeds happy is met de Street R. Veel plezier ermee en ride safe.
Hi Thijs, I like the looks of the Givi's, they seem practical as well. I bought this same bike, and have been waiting for a set of panniers as the stock ones from Suzuki are quite small. My question is, did you go w identical side bags? Some suggest going w a smaller one on the right side as the muffler adds weight and distance from the center line. Yours look identical? Thanks for the videos and your response.
Yes I did get the identical :), not for looks but the weight of the bike is pretty much spot on on both sides so even with a non balanced luggage the bike still handels like a charm. only at very slow speeds do you know witch side is heavier (like parking) :)
Ziet er goed uit Thijs die koffers, zelf heb ik de Outback Trekker topkoffer 42ltr waar 2 helmen inpassen toevallig gisteren ritje naar de Nurnburgring gedaan met nog een V-Strom650 en een FJR1300.
jah ik heb de grote versie gezien in de garage maar ik heb ze eens op de motor gezet maar dat is echt wel groot (en lomp). tenzij je ze enkel gebruikt voor te reizen lijkt me dit onpraktisch. Een grote top is altijd handig :) zeker als je met 2 rijd ivm. matriaal kwijt te geraken :). Alvast bedankt voor je feedback.
De topkoffer zet ik er alleen op als mijn vriendin achterop gaat. Veel plezier in Duitsland, waar zet je camera? Ik had hem op de valbeugel maar daar trilt de camera behoorlijk.
hangt er een beetje vanaf, als het rustig gaat onder de 4,5K RPM gaat de valbeugel nog wel maar aangezien het tempo vrij vlot lag heb ik ze nonstop op mijn helm gehad :)
NktRules i've got no issues at all. Even with powerwashing directly On the seams. The one time i had a little leak was my own fault, i managed to squese. A sock between the cover lifting it up 😇
That's something that i can do. I'm in germany at the moment so this would be possible next week if i'm in belgium :). what do you want to have in the video? (How it's mounted, which brand, how they are connected, night time ect? )

Jup zeker een Skidplate, onderkant lijkt me nogal fragiel voor wat hij soms moet doorstaan bij me :p

they are the small once's :)
37L for the sides (2X37l) and 42l for the top.
More than en/off to pack clothes and camping stuff for a week :)
