All those profits from Splendor are being put to good use! Good going, Hero ! That 160 is my favorite of these. Hope they price it aggressively in comparison with Yamaha Aerox and Aprilia SXR 160

@@JeetenderChauhan-ln9ruEasy. But in that case, it'll stull undercut the competition by 20k. And let me telk you, Hero has better quality control than Yamaha in India. The best quality control in India is maintained by TVS and Suzuki, by far.

Finally, Hero hired some one with good designing skills. They started to improve their game in Motorcycle genre too, but it still needs some efforts.
Happy for the motorcycle ecosystem here in India. It’s growing and it’s a delight!

I really hope Hero doesn't back out from launching the Xoom 160, we have a huge selection of bikes from 100 cc to 2300 cc but a very narrow range of scooters available compared to East Asia & Europe.
finally someone venturing into the high end scooter touring market...phew!
Indian motorcycle manufacturers are doing or going to do phenomenal things. Royal Enfield in premium segment with its own legacy and charm followed by other brands like Bajaj, Hero etc. are really uplifting the game.

Hero showcased ZIR 150 ten years ago.. and we are still waiting for it... Now let's see when will this Maxi scooter will come to the Indian Market😅
ZIR 150 could be best in segment and market leader if they have launched it around 2016 ... Still I'm in doubt this will also come in market ...
Indeed, disappointing from so many OEMs to skip the segment. Hope the Aerox has finally caught the attention of other manufacturers and it's not a one off.
Defiantly, Like Honda, Who has a good 150 CC ADV yet every year comes with a new Activa-G. If Hero launches its Xoom 160 the market will catch Eye of every two wheeler Manufacture in India. @@vm-my6hg

What's the volume of the petrol tank in xoom 160. Aerox is extremely restricted at 5.5 litre and with fis you have to keep half a litre to 1 litre compulsorily.
Hero is on a roll and it is good.
i wish they have made xpulse without gear for people who hates gear system for bikes
I reckon the Xtunt engine might be trickling down to the new ADV and the other Hero assimilated products.. Should be 300 to 400 cc, fingers crossed.

Finally the Maxi Scooters are flourishing in India.My favourite segment of vehicles.Specs are good.
This will be a good alternative to Aerrox.I feel this will be a bit cheaper and have better tuned suspension for our road conditions than the Aerrox.Also a bigger fuel tank (atleast 8L or more) and more ground clearance (atleast 180mm or more) would be nice.But a kerb weight of 141 kg seems a bit a heavy for a 160 cc scooter.Should've been 130 kg or less.
Nevertheless I am hyped for this product.🎉😊

I am 37 now ,I am more comfortable driving a maxi scooter than a sports bike ,I presently use a Suzuki burman 125,though efficient doesn't have that feel of a maxi scooter to the fullest ,this one from hero looks promising , I absolutely don't mind to spend that extra hard earned money if Hero offers more powerful engines or even a hybrid

Unlikely, cost will be quite high for a strong hybrid. Fascino does have a mild one.

This is gonna compete directly with Yamaha Aerox.

Lets wait until its officially out and how it perfoms in real world.
fuel tank capacity cleverly avoid kiya to mention .....hero will undercut aerox 155 by 20k at least....aerox 155 has very very small fuel tank[5.5 litres] , 3rd class very stiff suspension , no pillion comfort, .....hero xoom 160 will be better option if it gets at least 8-10 litres fuel tank, little softer suspension , good initial pickup [ but which I dont think Hero 160 can manage because of its 141 kg kerb weight], and guys, forget about Honda 160 adv ......it is not going to come in India.
C'mon honda we need pcx & forza 300 cc here. Been waiting for maxi scooter over a decade now.
Indeed, other than the overpriced C400 there's nothing in the segment while we have the best of cruisers & sports bikes on sale

The 160 is definitely made to impress firangi markets, not for us countrymen. 125 we might get, but the wheels wont be 14inchers.And that is why I will never buy a hero bike.
