float switch is a type of level sensor, a device used to detect the level of liquid within a tank. The switch may be used to control a pump as an indicator, alarm or to control other devices.

Was wondering why float has three wires. Got it now. Great video. Plus now understood how both tanks can be controlled. No need for water level controller if I could understand how to stop dry run in this configuration.

As you said and recommend to use always negative supply to control float switch. If my application is 3 phase motor how can I connect float switch? As there is no negative..
right now I controlled via contactor using one phase. Please suggest!
