The MK9 Shao Kahn boss fight at the end was so difficult for me. Shao Kahn could end you in like 5 hits. I only wish the little Dragon Snakes gave a little bit of healing over time during the match.

People complain about MK11 Shao Kahn but I think that's his best portrayal. Instead of an almost unbeatable powerhouse who sits the whole day like Thanos wanking for fights, he showed to be a competent and fearsome leader even without the throne and actually took matters to his hands way before. Charismatic and powerful, he knew how to impose himself. Also, he gave us fantastic clashes against Kotal Kahn and Kitana, and he died much like a gladiator. Obs.: Isn't it awesome how Raiden says "I'LL RIP THE FLESH FROM YOUR BONES!". And that's not even Dark Raiden!

As happy as I was for Kitana in this scene, I don't get why some people think this scene made Kitana look stronger than ever tbh. Not downplaying Kitana or anything, but if you ask me, this scene didn't make her look strong, it just made Shao Kahn look weak (the whole game kinda did a lil bit). If Shao Kahn just wasn't really gonna be a big bad since Kronika already filled that position, it really took away from the hype factor from Shao Kahn. Yes he never really won that much in the old timelines either, always getting beat by Liu Kang but that was when we recognized Liu Kang as the strongest Earthrealmer. Now tbh if Kitana just up and killed Shao Kahn, anybody could pretty much do it (even Sonya or Johnny Cage). Also Kronika being the big bad took away the hype factor of Revenant Liu Kang and Kitana being the big bads like we thought they'd be thanks to that after credits scene in MKX. I was really hoping to see a transition of Liu Kang going from being the main hero to the main villain and in the end they would have found a way to bring them all back. Noob's clout as a returning character in the story also didn't matter since he appeared in like two scenes the whole story and the history between him, Sub Zero, and Scorpion didn't play out too much at all. I'd prefer if present Scorpion lived period, but if they were gonna kill him off, it should have been Noob to do it. And in the end, I also feel like they didn't need to kill Sonya off in the beginning because it didn't really do anything or affect anything. Cassie's character was already developing so one of her parents' deaths wouldn't affect her character. If they had the intention to kill Sonya off to replace her with Cassie than that's not true, since everything is gonna be rebooted again.
Also, I'm all in on Sonya killing Kano because she's my favorite character and it's awesome seeing her being a badass and getting rid of her long time enemy. But to make it realistic, since it was a younger, less experienced Sonya fighting, she could have been beating young Kano's ass yeah, but since older Kano would be more experienced and know all of young Sonya's moves, he would be bodying her throughout their fight and then he gets arrogant and drops his guard and she takes advantage of the opening to beat him. Or she could have used strategy since she has a "strategic mind" that Johnny admires lmao but fr she could have used some sort of strategy to beat him. Little stuff like that would be more consistent and make more sense, thus lead to better writing and story telling. I actually loved the MK11 story, but it has hella inconsistencies.
Canon wise Sonia is stronger than Katana already she defeated her and Jade single-handedly in 2011 Mortal Kombat this Katana is the exact same of the one of that timeline so apparently Shao who's stronger than sindell which managed to beat and kill Katana with 10 other of Earth Realms Heroes including Sonya backing her up just makes no sense the power scaling is retarded

So back then, I suppose any of Earthrealm's heroes could have taken out Shao Kahn (even Johnny or Sonya) and Sindel wiped all of them out (except Johnny and Sonya) so at that point, Sindel was stronger than Shao Kahn if we're going by this new logic. And as you said, it's proven that Sonya canonically is stronger than Kitana and Jade. So if Kitana can beat Shao Kahn, then Sonya can. If Sonya can beat Shao Kahn (a mortal woman with no special superhuman abilities beating a powerful demigod warlord who has the capability to conquer realms, think about that). If Sonya can do it, Stryker can. If Stryker can do it, anyone can. That's the new logic we got with this scene of Kitana beating Shao Kahn. To keep it realistic, Liu Kang or Raiden should have defeated Shao Kahn and allow Kitana the killing blow while he's down since she would be most deserving (idk about Raiden but it seems like something Liu Kang would do for Kitana so it would make for more logical, consistent writing and stay true to Liu and Kitana's relationship all in one).

Raiden replies by saying his injuries were not fatal, likely referring to when Kitana sliced his eyes and became the new Khan in the story mode. The hatred that Kitana had for Shao Khan was such that she never thought to give up her oath. Shao Khan killed her father and her mother, erased her memory so that she would become his warrior daughter. More has transformed her mother into her enemy. It’s supposed to be the same Shao Kahn and Kitana from MK9. So it kinda really is dumb. Keep in mind Liu Kang had to defeat Shao. Liu Kang being 20x the fighter than Kitana in that timeline.

People complain about MK11 Shao Kahn but I think that's his best portrayal. Instead of an almost unbeatable powerhouse who sits the whole day like Thanos wanking for fights, he showed to be a competent and fearsome leader even without the throne and actually took matters to his hands way before. Charismatic and powerful, he knew how to impose himself. Also, he gave us fantastic clashes against Kotal Kahn and Kitana, and he died much like a gladiator.
Obs.: Isn't it awesome how Raiden says "I'LL RIP THE FLESH FROM YOUR BONES!". And that's not even Dark Raiden!
Loukhyax but making him a normal Kombatant not only Ruins his Arc but Also Ruins Liu Kangs and the Elder gods because beating Shao Kahn was a testament to their power, Raiden is even Weakened since he needed the help of the Elder gods to beat shao Kahn but kitana just needed her Fans.

As happy as I was for Kitana in this scene, I don't get why some people think this scene made Kitana look stronger than ever tbh. Not downplaying Kitana or anything, but if you ask me, this scene didn't make her look strong, it just made Shao Kahn look weak (the whole game kinda did a lil bit). If Shao Kahn just wasn't really gonna be a big bad since Kronika already filled that position, it really took away from the hype factor from Shao Kahn. Yes he never really won that much in the old timelines either, always getting beat by Liu Kang but that was when we recognized Liu Kang as the strongest Earthrealmer. Now tbh if Kitana just up and killed Shao Kahn, anybody could pretty much do it (even Sonya or Johnny Cage).
Also Kronika being the big bad took away the hype factor of Revenant Liu Kang and Kitana being the big bads like we thought they'd be thanks to that after credits scene in MKX. I was really hoping to see a transition of Liu Kang going from being the main hero to the main villain and in the end they would have found a way to bring them all back. Noob's clout as a returning character in the story also didn't matter since he appeared in like two scenes the whole story and the history between him, Sub Zero, and Scorpion didn't play out too much at all. I'd prefer if present Scorpion lived period, but if they were gonna kill him off, it should have been Noob to do it. And in the end, I also feel like they didn't need to kill Sonya off in the beginning because it didn't really do anything or affect anything. Cassie's character was already developing so one of her parents' deaths wouldn't affect her character. If they had the intention to kill Sonya off to replace her with Cassie than that's not true, since everything is gonna be rebooted again.

Also, I'm all in on Sonya killing Kano because she's my favorite character and it's awesome seeing her being a badass and getting rid of her long time enemy. But to make it realistic, since it was a younger, less experienced Sonya fighting, she could have been beating young Kano's ass yeah, but since older Kano would be more experienced and know all of young Sonya's moves, he would be bodying her throughout their fight and then he gets arrogant and drops his guard and she takes advantage of the opening to beat him. Or she could have used strategy since she has a "strategic mind" that Johnny admires lmao but fr she could have used some sort of strategy to beat him. Little stuff like that would be more consistent and make more sense, thus lead to better writing and story telling. I actually loved the MK11 story, but it has hella inconsistencies.
Canon wise Sonia is stronger than Katana already she defeated her and Jade single-handedly in 2011 Mortal Kombat this Katana is the exact same of the one of that timeline so apparently Shao who's stronger than sindell which managed to beat and kill Katana with 10 other of Earth Realms Heroes including Sonya backing her up just makes no sense the power scaling is retarded

So back then, I suppose any of Earthrealm's heroes could have taken out Shao Kahn (even Johnny or Sonya) and Sindel wiped all of them out (except Johnny and Sonya) so at that point, Sindel was stronger than Shao Kahn if we're going by this new logic.
And as you said, it's proven that Sonya canonically is stronger than Kitana and Jade. So if Kitana can beat Shao Kahn, then Sonya can. If Sonya can beat Shao Kahn (a mortal woman with no special superhuman abilities beating a powerful demigod warlord who has the capability to conquer realms, think about that). If Sonya can do it, Stryker can. If Stryker can do it, anyone can. That's the new logic we got with this scene of Kitana beating Shao Kahn. To keep it realistic, Liu Kang or Raiden should have defeated Shao Kahn and allow Kitana the killing blow while he's down since she would be most deserving (idk about Raiden but it seems like something Liu Kang would do for Kitana so it would make for more logical, consistent writing and stay true to Liu and Kitana's relationship all in one).

Raiden replies by saying his injuries were not fatal, likely referring to when Kitana sliced his eyes and became the new Khan in the story mode. Even if the timeline was restored, Shao Kahn would still be alive.

He's strong but not immune to wounding. So unless someone dragged him out or he woke out of unconsciousness and magically left then he's dead.
Not that it all matters as this timeline got reset regardless.
The hatred that Kitana had for Shao Khan was such that she never thought to give up her oath. Shao Khan killed her father and her mother, erased her memory so that she would become his warrior daughter. More has transformed her mother into her enemy. Anyone in consciousness would do anything to eliminate someone like Shao Khan.

These writers made Shao Kahn look like a total bitch in this game, I'm so disappointed. First Cassie Cage beats a fallen Elder God, now Kitana kills cough, cough "blinds" Shao Kahn with ease.
